[DIY Wappen]: They have a DIY wappen station where visitors can create their own wappen patches. Wappens are colorful fabric patches or straps used to decorate tote bags, keychains, pouches, or clothing. It is a trendy fashion accessory among students and young people in Korea. [Merchandise products]: The store has various Sanrio blind boxes from Top Toy, keycap charms, keychains and clips, pouches, deco diaries, stickers, bag charms, and mini bags. [Ramen machines]: Customers can prepare soup ramen on the spot using ramen machines by adding all the ingredients into a bowl and let the machines do rest of the work. The ramen machines include instructions on how to use them. There is a sign at the cafe counter stating buy Hangang Ramen and get free Korean ice cream. [Cafe]: There is a counter selling ceremonial-grade matcha drinks and coffees. The shop brews coffee from Lavazza. [Snacks and bottled drinks]: They sell various packaged Korean snacks and beverages including a snack called "Bag of Trump Hair" and viral fruit ice cream flavors like peach. Buying abalone at H Mart is so convenient because they offer a cleaning and cutting service. When My Mom bought it back in February, they did a great job cleaning it and even included the innards--and of course, they mentioned the service was free. However, when we went back this past Saturday, April 4th, and asked for the same service, the staff initially told me there would be an extra charge. When I mentioned that I hadn't been charged last time, they checked with a colleague and confirmed that the cleaning & cutting service is indeed free. Unfortunately, the person who handled it this time threw away all the innards. My mom was quite disappointed because she says the innards are essential for the best flavor. Despite that, I still appreciate how clean and well-prepared the abalone is there. All of the fishes, too. Also, the roasted sweet potatoes they sell are so tasty.

At the time, I was not thinking about filing a lawsuit, requesting medical reimbursement, or reporting the matter to the Health Department. My family was sick, and my first priority was taking care of them. We took medication that we already had at home, rested, and endured the symptoms for approximately two days. I believed that requesting a refund for the food would be simple. Looking back, that was my biggest mistake. A few days later, I called the store and explained that five members of my family had eaten the same seafood and had all experienced vomiting, diarrhea, and severe stomach pain. Instead of carefully documenting the situation, expressing concern, or connecting me with a manager, the employee simply told me that a refund could not be provided. When I explained that I had paid by credit card, I was told to contact my credit card company. The call ended without a meaningful investigation, apology, or referral to the appropriate department. H Mart later located my transaction in its system and confirmed that a refund could be issued for the fish only. However, I still had to ask which fish items qualified and what the exact refund amount would be.
