Came here on a Monday afternoon to get my battery, spark plugs, and brake fluid replaced. I've also gotten oil changes done here as well - the service has consistently been great. The staff here is very accommodating, honest and professional. Prices are reasonable and I appreciate how transparent they are from the start. Everything was repaired and finished within 1.5hours. There is a shaded waiting area with chairs, tables, and powerful fans to keep you comfy. If your repairs will take a long time, there's also many restaurants and cafes for you to enjoy within walking distance as well. Highly recommended! Will be back again. read more

I was visiting LA for the weekend when my car developed a clunking noise in the suspension. I called just before they were closing to see if they could take a look to see if any fasteners were loose. I drove it straight there and they were able to locate the loose fasteners and get everything tightened up in no time. They wouldn't take any money for the repair and had me on my way within 15 minutes. Wish I could give 0 star, I came here for simple oil change on 2017 mini cooper, at first they do not service a car with regular engine oil, they seem to only have synthetic oil at fixed price. The guy did not know how much engine oil the car needs. I had to google search for him to let him know it needs 4.4 qts which is around 5 qts. The worst part is the wait time. The guy who works there told me it will takes about half an hour. But it ended up taking more than 2 hours for simple oil change. They do not have the filter in stock. Why didnt the mecanic mention about it in the first place? It is understandable for the shop not having the filter in hand but if you have to be somewhere beside waiting here for 2 hours is ridiculous. I came in with my two dogs it was 80 degree outside. Had to wait for the part to come in. I asked several time when the part will arrive. The owner or manager (George)didn't give specific time frame, only to show no sympathy on what is going on. Finally, the price. Price is fixed for 59.99 and that is what they advertise w filter up to 5 qts. At the end of long wait, George gave me 98.55 as a final invoice price. See the picture I attached to the review. I eneded up arguing for the price and got the price for 59.99. IF SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT PAY ATTETION will pay for the scam price. I brought my car in here, having never been in before, to get an area checked out. Since I didn't have the replacement part they went ahead and clipped my bumper in place free of charge since I was there! They were fast and friendly, and showed me what was going on while explaining it clearly. There's an outdoor shaded area with seating to wait for your car at. Today Friday the 9th I went to this location after reading numerous great reviews and realizing that it was only 5 minutes drive from where I live. Well, let me tell you, it was not a good choice. I arrived at Hans Beverly Auto at 3:00 pm that day( they were not that busy). A person approached me and ask what kind of service I was looking to have done today. I told him that my car was needing an oil change, he proceed to give me a quote of 45 dollars, which I replied that I only need the labor service since I had my own engine oil, filter oil and air filter, he then replied that it would be only 25 for the labor service then. I gave him the materials and he gave it to the mechanic that was availabe at that moment. He then start writting a receipt, I asked him if I need to pay already, he told me that not at the moment but until the service was done. Minutes later the same mechanic approached me and told me that it would be 10 dollars more for the labor instead of 25 dollars(a total of 35) because the air filter was difficult to change, which I respond that it was ok. 20 minutes later the same mechanic asked me to go with him and he showed me the place where the air filter goes, (the air filter goes right on the top of the engine covered by a plastic container) he then proceed to tell me that it would be 25 dollars more instead of 10 dollars,(a total of 50 dollars) which I replied NO thank you, since he already gave me two different prices and had done the oil change already. He dropped the air filter in my passanger side and walk away. What a lack of profetionalism of this person!! I went to the office to pay only for the change oil, since it was "too dificult for them to change the air filter". In the office an older person helped me (who seems to be the owner) the older person gave me the reciept and asked for 35 dollars, which I respond that it was originally 25 dollars for labor of the oil change, he then told me that I was right and charged me 25 instead, I gave him a bill of 20 and one bill of 10, total of 30 dollars. What comes right now is the most funny thing I ever heard of, He replied that "he did not have change" and put the money in his pocket, I looked at him all serious and replied that I need my change!! He then went to grab the change and gave it to me. What kind of place give you different prices trying to charge you extra for little things? This place does. What kind of place does half done jobs? This place does. If you are looking for an sneaky service? This is the place to go. Well, for me I did not let this people to take advantage of me neither you should do. It's $59.99 for 5qrts of full synthetic oil but my car takes 7 qrts so it came out $76 without tax. They did my oil change within 15 minutes and added Air to all my tires including the spare. The big plus is that it's half the price of if I were to go to Mercedes! Super quick and easy. Called to see if it was busy late afternoon on a Monday. This experience was during COVID; every single worker here was wearing a mask appropriately and the entire duration of my multiple visits. I recently came here because my car was leaking a bunch of stuff that I couldn't figure out, was also due for an oil change. Han's was extremely responsive and realistic, when I brought my car on Saturday they could tell it was a much larger issue and they're busy all Monday so to bring it Tuesday. Saturday/Sundays are more for the basic engine oil changes, etc. I ended up bringing my car right before they closed on Monday so they could take a look and let me know the damage and how much it would cost me. The bottom line is they did extensive assessments, and discovering that the issue is much more significant and increasingly expensive they recommended that I don't do any work on my car, taking into consideration they don't think it's a worthy investment. From our initial conversation they had my go ahead and OK to do over 1k's worth of work but they actually didn't move forward because they discovered more work and waited until they talked to me. So even though my trusty Mini Cooper for the last 11 years has received a terminal diagnosis today, I'm extremely grateful to the team here because they were honest with me. I don't know anything about cars so really rely on and trust my mechanics and their expertise; they had an opportunity to make $$ from me and chose the ethical route and didn't take it. If they had recommended I do the work even if it's thousands I was ready to do it but I really felt like they treated me like a person instead of a wallet. After about 2 months I changed a headlight bulb at Hans, the light went off. I came back in to address the issue and the owner claimed the other, more expensive part is broken and I had to pay over $400 to fix it. Well, guess what. It was the new lightbulb that broke! I went to another location and fixed the problem with a new light bulb. Why did the owner tell me to buy the other part? Even if it was only a misdiagnosis, why did the supposedly-new-part only last a few months? I was only a regular customer who relied on his expertise 100%. Now I wonder- was I always told the truth? Amazing as always at Hans Beverly Auto. Small local auto shop but is very clean. There's a nice waiting area while they work on your car. STAFF IS VERY HONEST. I came in for an oil change, tire rotation and brake change for my 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid. They honestly told me I didn't need a brake change yet since I still had some life and thread to my brakes. Other shops would've just done the job. They told me it's best that I replace my tires because a rotation wouldn't do any good since the side thread was thinning. What local auto shop does this? They would take your money. Instead they honestly tell you what services you need and don't need. I came here expecting to spend $500 for services and leaving only spending $55 for the full synthetic oil change. The reviews were right! This place is wonderful. I came very early with no appointment on a Saturday. I was honestly dreading it, being a woman and dealing with shops can be interesting. However, they were so quick and communicative. Literally as soon as I pulled in and parked I was greeted and asked my issue and Kim started working on it immediately. He suggested what I needed but when I asked him to keep it simple and just do one thing he respected my wishes and didn't push. I wound up going with his recommendation after he showed me the results and he gladly continued working on it. NOT TRUSTWORTHY ANYMORE, ladies especially beware... I've been going to them for years, but the last two times I've been in have raised some major red flags. Recently went in for a (synthetic) oil change. I told the guy I brought my own oil & he said it would be $20 for labor (what I'd paid them in the past). I asked the price to add an air filter. He said $25. (FYI: $12 on Amazon, I usually change myself). I agreed and told him I'd be paying cash. Big Mistake. He then said I'd need to change the cabin filter (w/o seeing my car or any info). And it would be an additional $55. I declined and he insisted. (The best cabin filters, by the way, are 2 for $12 on Amazon and it is the easiest thing to pop in, no tools required, takes 2 mins for zero-skilled non-mechanics). We walked out to my car to get the oil and he said I'd also need to pay for an oil filter for $10. So now this oil change is going to cost me $110 cash?! Their sign says "synthetic oil change $55" if they're supplying the oil & I'd brought my own. The time before this I let them replace my squeaking brake pads. They were still squeaking after they replaced them, which they told me would go away shortly. 12k miles later my brakes have never stopped squeaking loudly when I brake. (The most likely reason is that they didn't bother to spray the calipers and rotors to clean off excessive brake dust when they replaced the pads. This is BASIC.) I bought into the hype of these Yelp reviews but this place is a shoddy car service cash grab, and if you're female they assume you're a rube. DO NOT TRUST THEM. TLDR: Tried to charge me $110+ for a $55 oil change & did not replace my brake pads correctly, then told me the pads would fix themselves (they didn't) instead of fixing it. read more
