This place used to be great and the owner used to be so courteous but I don't know what happened because the past couple of times I've gone has been a rip off. I wanted to get my brake pads and discs replaced and after the service I noticed it was still making a ton of noise so I went back and they said they would redo it at no charge but it again made a lot of noise so I had it look at some place else and they said the brake pads and discs were poorly installed and weren't Lexus parts (which they claimed they would be). So I ended up wasting time and $$!!! On top of everything I ended up paying only $380 to get the whole thing replaced when Hans had charged me $500! read more

I brought my Lexus here to get the brake pads changed, and not only did it cost me half what the dealer wanted to charge me, but they were able to do it on the spot and it only took a little over an hour. I used to go to this shop for my oil changes or random nail in the tire incidents but last week I tried to give this place a call to get my car serviced again but whoever picked up the phone was overly rude and had such a bad attitude. He was raising his voice and telling me that they were closed even through their hours showed that they were open. He didn't even let me make an appointment for later in the week and just ended up hanging up the phone. When my mom called back and spoke in Korean, he changed his attitude right away and was more accommodating but still overall really prejudiced service and would not recommend this place again. $110 FOR OIL CHANGE?? I took my car there for regular oil change because I lived near by. During the oil change they called me that there is break fluid leaking on my front right wheel and that its dangerous and they have to fix it, I said Ok. Later that day they called me again that basically the whole break needs to be replaced and quoted the price for $600. Next day I went to pick the car up and they gave me bill for $809! I was really disappointed and said that the quote was 600, so I ended up paying $710. When I saw the bill I found out that only the oil change was $110!!!?? When I get in the car I get even more angry because the whole interior was covered with sticky dark oil hand prints, all over my dashboard, wheel, seats, doors, even on the outside of the car, black hand prints everywhere, even my trunk, so for some reason they went through my stuff in my trunk too. I usually bring my own oil and do the change there for labor of 20$ on my car another time they tried to charge me 35$ stating that its way longer to do but in fact it was even faster to do as they know how to work on bmw. Went to Hans Beverly Auto after 3 lights came on in my car. My fiancé and I showed up without an appointment on a late Sunday morning, and as soon as we arrived Eric was walking out and greeted us. He was so nice (and such a cutie!) and explained to us exactly what was wrong and even gave us a little break on the price for replacing 2 belts. The work was done in about an hour and a half and the car is now driving perfectly. The next day someone on a bike ran into the side mirror and knocked it off, so I suspect we'll be visiting Hans again soon . read more

They are very knowledgeable about cars in general and know how to take care of th problem. just like most german cars, I've had so much headache with my CLS550 over many years from minor to major repairs. but all these years i feel like i was at the wrong place going to dealerships and other repair shops. Especially, Mr. Kim at Hans Auto really knows what he's talking about. he is nice and kind, very informative, and willing to help his customer as much as he can. I used to take my car here regularly to get an oil change because it's the cheapest in town, but it's cheap for a reason. First few times I took my car here was no problem. However, my car battery unfortunately got stolen about a month after getting my oil changed at Hans. Had a family friend install my new battery and check the rest of my car where he found out that my oil was CRITICALLY low. This was after a MONTH of getting my oil changed- typically my oil should've lasted six months until the next change, not one month. Friend ended up filling my oil from the nearest Auto Zone. Five months later, and I need another oil change. I thought hey I'll give Hans another shot because again, they were the cheapest in town and I was on a strict budget. Told the mechanic Eric about my oil being low after a month and he said "either there's a leak in your car or the mechanic may not have filled up enough oil last time but I'll check." Eric found no leak, and admitted that it must've been the mechanic who didn't fill up my oil enough. So I thought, "there was $35 down the drain." Eric changes my oil, and I have him show me the dipstick to make sure that the oil was all the way filled up and I was on my way. He clearly didn't care enough to check anything else on my car including the tire pressure. Literally five days later, and I'm sitting on the side of the highway as we speak with a flat tire . TAKE CAUTION if you take your car here because they clearly do not do a thorough job or care enough to make sure you and your car are safe. read more

People here are snobs. I went there to have my tire patched. When I got there all the employees saw me. I was standing in front of them for a good 2 minutes but none of them talked to me or gave me any attention. They were doing other things which I understood but they could've at least asked me to wait or give them a few minutes. The other guy was right in front of me and was just chatting with someone and wasn't really working. I was very disappointed. I went to LA Tire & Auto Repair a few blocks away. They, too, were busy but accommodated me right away. A simple "can you please give us a few minutes and we'll be right there with you." would have given this place a better star rating and review. read more

Came here during my lunch today for a quick oil change. The clerk quoted me an oil change in about 40 minutes. Left to have lunch, came back, and my car had not been moved. The clerk indicated that the garage was full and that they hadn't had time to work on my car. That the cars ahead of me were big jobs and would take long to complete. Why didn't he tell me that before I left my car?? He offered to have me come back later, which wouldn't work because of my work schedule. And didn't offer anything other than an "ok" when I indicated I would be going elsewhere. I essentially brought my car to have it sit for 40 mins. It was a complete and frustrating waste of time. $580 I was charged to fix my radiator. I came here thinking this was going to be a good experience based on reviews, I was wrong. Steve was very pushy and not friendly what so ever. I did talk to another guy who was the former manager and he was very kind but that doesn't justify how I got ripped off for replacing a radiator. My car was overheating and they took advantage of my situation. Not right. I was naive to leave my car here but also felt like I had no other choice because my car was apparently "done for" unless I had work done asap. That's how they made me feel, Steve also told me at one point that if I left he would charge me more if I wanted to come back because of the condition of my car. Would not recommend to anyone! Dealer quoted over $4500 -- I showed them the dealer recommended parts replacement for my European sports car and I ended up paying less than a third. They ordered parts, were communicate re: ETA, patient when I couldn't come in right away (flight in Europe got cancelled coming home), and replaced everything I needed.
