My daughter comes here all the time to get a breakfast sandwich before school. She wanted to stop in today so I decided to see if thy live up to the expectations she set. When we got there there wasn't much of a line. Most of the breakfast sandwiches are around $6 dollars. After placing my order it was ready within just a free minutes. They have a decent sized dining area but we took it to go so she wouldn't be late. I had a scrapple egg and cheese sandwich. They definitely give you more than enough egg. The scrapple was cooks crispy. Only issue was my toast was a little too well done for my liking. I will probably have to tell them lightly located bread next time. Stopped by this café and was impressed from start to finish. The space felt warm and relaxed, the staff was friendly without trying too hard, and the coffee actually tasted like it was made by people who care. My relatives discovered this place while visiting me. They ordered several different items on the first trip including the pancake platter, shrimp & grits, and a breakfast sandwich. The pancakes are dense and are served with eggs and your choice of meat. The shrimp & grits are hearty and the shrimp to grits ratio is great. I added more salt and butter at home along with cheese to get the grits to my desired taste. The breakfast sandwich was good too. Today I ordered 2 pancake platters for a total of $16. Their prices are below average and the food is hot and packaged well for takeout. There is also indoor dining. My order was ready in about 10mins. This place is easy to miss when driving by but its worth a visit. Decent food from a varied menu for a decent price with plenty of seating. What more can you ask for? Being from California, where these sorts of restaurants are everywhere and really cheap and delicious, I must say the food isn't as good, nor as plentiful, nor as cheap as it is there, but it's of fairly reasonable taste, price, and quantity for the East Coast. I also appreciate that the people who run this business are rather domesticated. Even though it clearly hurts their souls to be polite to customers, as it goes against their customary behaviour, they make an effort! Applause! They also took a good lesson from "Do the Right Thing" and their wall seems to be full of pictures of people from the community (or of models playing people who look like people in who would plausibly live in Owings Mills). read more

I hate coming here now. It takes four people to understand a regular normal order. They are inconsistent. I bought a sandwich twice order the same way last month. This month i go and the sandwich is not the same and they said that's how they normally make it... it's not. I've been coming here for 8 years getting the same sandwich and it just not wants to change. They take no fault. The customer is always wrong. They take so long even when not busy. I don't recommend coming here anymore they prices are higher and the quality decreased tremendously. Old owner need to buy back or just shut it down we doing nothing but wasting money here. I'm in between 3 and 4 stars, but rounded up for consistency. This is not your fancy breakfast/brunch food. No bells or whistles, but consistently decent food. They happen to be close to me, which is an added bonus and great in a pinch when you want something good for breakfast and don't feel like cooking. The veggie omelette, French toast, and pancakes are divine. The home fries or fried potatoes are my fav! The bagels are fine as well but they don't stand out as being very delicious. Updated: I have recently been so disappointed with Tsam. While the food is good the staff who work at the register are very rude making the experience very unpleasant. They also disconnect their phone so it's always confusing if they're closed or busy. And make you drive all the way even just for a pick up. Writing a review makes one think about why we go where we go to eat. Been going to Tsam since it was Owings Mills Bagel. Why? My child's bus stop is right next to the place. Breakfast is big. Lunch is either lunch period busy for the schools around, or not. Is it good? It is a good place to watch the news and relax. The TV is set high enough for the kitchen workers to hear it, so you won't miss what's going on in the world. The food? Not a fan of their coffee. Bagels are ok. Haven't timed the grits to their right consistency yet. Lunch is korean or sub. The pork and beef bulgogi are the best meals there. Spiced to native Korea level, with enough rice to cut the heat. Feeling for chicken and waffles. Great choice here. I got takeout. Ordered in the restaurant for takeout. Didn't take very long. Everything was packaged well and appropriately. Had to crisp the waffle up in the oven at home ( the unfortunate part about takeout is how it changes the texture of you food on the way home) and that made the waffle like it just came off the waffle iron. This is a hidden GEM I've discovered a few weeks ago going by the reviews on YELP. It's about 10 minutes away from my house . It's on the corner of a strip mall I want to say and they have THE BEST food so flavorful . It's in a very quiet location alongside tree lined streets. First let me apologize for the pic of a half eaten sandwich. I remembered to do my review after I bit into my meal. This was my first time eating at Tsams. I had a taste for a MONTE CRISTO SANDWICH and after a little research I was happy to find Tsams. The sandwich was piping hot five minutes after I left but I must say that I was slightly disappointed. The sandwich was more on the lines of a hot ham sandwich with cheese and lacked the ingredients necessary for a Monte. I.e. Powdered sugar, sweet French toast. I came here solely to try some Korean food and I was pleasantly surprised. This place is kinda confusing in the sense you walk in and it doesn't look or feel like a Korean food joint, more so a simple breakfast place. I ordered the bulgogi bowl and a side of kimchi and my food was ready in about 10 minutes. It was quite busy and there were some people still sitting down and eating even though closing was in 30 minutes. It was my first time trying bulgogi and the meat was really tasty and so tender with just a nice hint of sweetness. They weren't skimpy on the meat which was a definitive plus. It was seasoned so well my room smelled like the food even after I finished eating it. The kimchi was good too. I'm not much of an expert on kimchi tastes, but I only know honeypig's kimchi which I liked better than the kimchi at han's. This is a small local shop for breakfast and lunch. They have delicious waffles with a large variety of toppings, specials, and combos. They have pancakes, grits, omelettes, sandwiches, wraps, and other Korean combos. The owners are Korean and have several different rice and beef dishes. I have not tried their Korean dishes yet, mainly because I'd rather go to a Korean specialty restaurant. I've had their omelettes with hash browns and bagels. They have pretty good breakfast sandwiches and options. The hash browns almost seem like they are the same as McDonalds!! HAH. They are delicious! Their omelettes were tasty. They have ketchup, hot sauces, and other seasonings on the side. If you order coffee they have several cream options that are all self serve :) Overall the staff seems nice, but not all attentive. This is a quaint no-frills hole in the wall that might confuse people at first, since it's both a solid little deli serving breakfast food all day as well as Korean-inspired dishes. I had the spicy pork rice bowl, and even for a big eater like me there was enough for lunch and a meal afterwards. It was chock full of tender pork, ripe kimchi and perfect rice. Great for those "I want Korean but don't want to drive anywhere moments". Everyone gets those, right? My friend had the bugogi japchae and it was "pretty solid". The place could use a facelift, and the photos lining the wall to advertise for a local photographer can be a bit unnerving while you're eating, but the food is plentiful, well made. and a good price, and the owners are friendly and hardworking.
