Cute little beachside spot connected to the general store with both indoor and outdoor seating that makes for such a fun casual stop after a day by the water. I've eaten here twice now and overall the food has been really good both times. One thing that was definitely disappointing -- no french fries. Instead, burgers come with a bag of chips, which feels like a missed opportunity for a beach burger spot. The burger itself was decent, though the patty could've been better. What really saved the western burger was all the toppings and flavors that came with it. The standout for me though was the fish tacos special I had on a previous visit. Absolutely delicious and honestly one of those dishes you keep thinking about afterward. That special needs to come back permanently. Overall, definitely worth stopping in if you're near the beach and looking for a laid-back bite with a great atmosphere. read more

The food was great. I had a 1/2 curried chicken sandwich, loaded with good things and a delicious clam chowder. Not sure what the husband had but he really liked it and he's picky. We went there for breakfast because they have a delicious breakfast. It is a small restaurant in the back of the store. It has room from 2 to sit at a table or 6. Love the decor of the place with sea shells, and a TV to watch. I like to looking out the window at the water. Can't see a lot, because of an old building in front of it, but enough to enjoy the tides going out, waves, and birds catching the wind. A little fake fireplace that gives off some heat but relaxing to look at with fake fire crackling like it is real. Service is fast, staff friendly, a local atmosphere, which I enjoy. I had Spam, eggs, hash browns (crispy like I like them) toast. My Son-in-law had French toast which looked delicious plus syrup in a bottle in warm water. My decafe coffee is hit and miss in most restaurants as I like strong coffee. Could add a few more grounds to it. Restaurants fill up fast with locals, which is nice to see people out on a windy, rainy day. read more

Came here for breakfast because we were craving breakfast burritos with a great ocean view. First time customers and we weren't disappointed. The burritos were stuffed with breakfast goodness and the salsa was pretty good. Had a few mimosas too (splendid!). Service was decent, only one other table besides us. Not slow, not fast, just right. Waitress was friendly enough but didn't bring me the water I asked for or the second mimosa for table until we asked again. Not bad, just weird since it was so slow. On Jan 18th, 2025 My family was celebrating my mother's 70th birthday. We made sure to let the manager know we would have a large group and wanted to make sure it was something they could accommodate. Did they ever! We had 13 of us, ranging in age from 6 to 70. Everyone had a wonderful meal. The waitress, Kelly I believe her name is, was outstanding! She kept everyone's order straight and our glasses full and was very friendly.The cook(s) where incredibly efficient and presented not only a delicious meal, but also an appearance of pride in their work. Not one employee acted stressed or overwhelmed with all of us. Our experience there really added to our mother's birthday! While the view is still stunning and the service friendly, the food quality has changed somewhat. Deli sandwiches are still a solid choice, but do not, I repeat, DO NOT order the fish and chips. $16 for 3 breaded fish sticks like they might serve at an elementary school cafeteria and some potato wedge fries made from very tiny potatoes, such were the wedges. We sat at our table staring in disbelief at what was served, until we burst into uncontrollable giggles. If it's a frozen fish stick, call it what it is. Everything was great - good food at a decent price with a nice staff. The place is a little small which hasn't been a problem so far (three visits) but as it's a little remote/off the beaten path it's a little gamble if they will be able to accommodate always. Cute place in the back of the store. Food was decent but crescent could have been fresher. Felt it was at least a few days on the shelf. Clam chowder tasted more like potato soup with very few, if any clams. Plenty of business so no reason to fall short on these items. Would eat here again if I was driving by but certainly won't make the trip again just for the meal. A friend mentioned having good food here so I decided to support a local business and order sandwiches to go. The online menu had no prices, but I ordered on the assumption the prices would be fair. When I picked up the order, I was taken aback at the total of $26+. That didn't include a additional dollar for using a debit card (which is illogical especially now with virus concerns about the use of cash). Upon arriving home I found out why the bag was so light. The sandwiches were not only on very small portions of French bread, but the fillings were thin, possibly a half-inch thick. We hoped that the flavor would make up for the lack of size and ingredients, but no such luck. To be fair, in appropriate portions the flavor would likely have been more robust, but in such skimpy amounts, it didn't come through. I rarely write such a negative review but this was simply such a poor experience that others need to be warned. $27+ for a snack that wasn't even a full meal's worth. Maybe they're temporarily taking advantage of the virus crisis and being the only game in town, and maybe their full menu is better and locals are given better service/food, but we won't be testing the waters here ever again. read more

We came here to walk on the beach and were so happy to discover this gem! The soup was absolutely delicious ( some kind of potato cabbage bacon chowder), and my Reuben was out of this world! It's a solid inexpensive place for a "quick" lunch after some time at the beach. The roast beef sandwich came with a delicious horseradish mayo and a healthy amount of tomato. I read the reviews, so we tried.. Probably won't go back. Hubby had the breakfast burrito 3/5 and I had the baked potato chowder 1/5. The chowder was so thin it was flavorless broth, and the baked potato...some of the potatoes were not cooked all the way. I gave a 2 because they weren't quite ready for the lunch menu, but if it wasn't ready yet, they shouldn't have served it. This place is awesome. I'm from SoCal but my son and I stopped by here while rowing the Seventy48. After rowing 50 miles from Tacoma to Hansgrill that was one of the best burgers of my life. You've redeemed yourselves! We have always thoroughly enjoyed the food, people and atmosphere here. Been coming here since 1992 (before they had a restaurant). The last time we visited (about a year ago), we were disappointed with the food quality, namely the portion vs. cost because it hadn't ever been our experience. Everything was perfect this time. We decided to give it another try and were so pleased. The staff has always been friendly, but this time the chef (Ken) walked outside to our "beach picnic" to see how the food was tasting and visited with us for a few which we enjoyed very much. We went back in for ice cream afterwards (there's picnic tables, grassy area and the beach within steps of the store/restaurant). This little place has great food and awesome service. I ate here two times and both times the food was great. The baked chicken sandwich with bacon, cheese and jalapeño bread is the best. Their brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream is one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The brownie is served warm under ice whipped cream, chocolate sauce and ice cream.
