    Chicken Lo Mein

We don't eat out often as we don't have money like that but today we chose Hao Chi based on the reviews. I wish we had gone elsewhere We ordered $70 worth of food for pickup and left a $10 tip. Out of all the food we purchased, all of the chicken was too dry to eat, the dumplings were burned to a crisp and sent out anyways, the noodles in the lo mein were dry and crispy. When asked for house mustard, they had none, when asked for chili oil they gave us chili sauce. And only 4 packs of soy sauce and 4 packs of mustard were given for a family of 4 . Terrible place I would not recommend. The chef has absolutely no pride in their food whatsoever. I truly hope they see this and stop giving this garbage to people. This is not Chinese food, this isn't even food. Absolutely terrible

Vegetable Lo Mein (w/extra mushrooms) takeout.

I'm always on the quest for good takeout, and after seeing this place recommended on my delivery app for the 100th time I decided to finally try it out. I ordered the vegetable lo mein (with extra mushrooms so I could qualify for free delivery) and it was pretty good! Nothing crazy remarkable, but solid Chinese takeout which is something everyone needs. The veggies were all fresh, the noodles and seasoning were tasty, and it arrived hot! No complaints at all.

I sadly have not found a good Chinese place in Baltimore as be generous to rate the best as 3 stars until now. Only got once as delivery on Xmas and came quickly. Food was good as not overly greasy, decent serving size and Good flavor. For those that like it spicy mine was not even with eating the peppers. Will order again.

The orange chicken here is extremely tasty! I can tell the sauce is made from scratch. I would have loved a little more heat, so I may ask for extra chili next time. The combination fried rice wasn't bad! I think there could have been more seasoning added, but I'll definitely be ordering from this spot again. Thank you!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I've ordered from here a few times and always get the same thing, beef lo mein and sweet and sour chicken. I'll start off by saying the beef lo mein is very good. Unfortunately, this time the sweet and sour chicken was the worst it's ever been. Half of the the fried dough did not even have any chicken. The pieces that did include chicken had thin strips not even whole pieces of chicken. Pictures show the whole story. I called the restaurant to see if they could rectify the situation and was greeted with the worst customer service ever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Definitely the best Chinese in the area. Best prices too. Opened late, which depending on the day in Fells- this may be the latest open, with convenience and best prices. (We've tried everything in Canton, surrounding Fells area) Quickly prepared, tasty Chinese take out! Very nice. Definitely beats any other Chinese in all surrounding areas, will quickly become top rated .

Solid Chinese locally in Fells Point... reminds me of the Carry Outs in DC. It's what you would expect. Nothing more, nothing less...

While we waited for our food, many continuously piled in to order or pick up their food. I'd recommend calling in your order a head of time because they get pretty backed up, but the food is well worth the wait. I got the Tofu Brah bun and my mom got the chili noodles with pork and a side of rice and beans. All of the food was so flavorful and the portions were generous. The bun itself was so light and fluffy, and the tofu was crispy. They didn't skimp on the pork in the chili noodles - about half the dish was really tender pork. The rice and beans were nice and spicy too and my mom loved them! This is more of a grab and go kind of place, but there are two outdoor benches and some countertop seating inside

Flavors were all there and I appreciated the bao bun to some extent. Though it took me a while to figure out how I was supposed to eat it. Eventually figured it out but wasn't keen on getting the top and bottom in my mouth at the same time. I ended up mostly just having the thin bottom half with the sauce and pickle. That on its own was plenty filling. Having lived many years in Japan, I found it difficult to wrap my head around the name which translates as the bento one buys at train stations ahead of long trips. Nothing on the menu resembles anything remotely similar.

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. I came in about an hour before closing, and anyone who eats out knows food can sometimes feel different that close to closing time. Not here. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as if I had walked in at peak dinner time. On top of that, I had an issue with my online order/payment. It looked like the charge was processing through my account, but they had no record of the order. Instead of making me feel like a problem, the person helping me was patient, kind, and genuinely tried to figure it out. I felt treated like a hungry customer who needed help not like someone trying to get over. The food looked good, tasted amazing, and the people were helpful, welcoming, and kind even near closing. So I just walked away and ordered online, which was a struggle due to the app not taking the order for a bit, but eventually I got through. It was ready quickly enough. Ekiben, classically a sandwich spot, has broken into the noodle business. I sampled their knife cut noodles, which have a wonderfully springy texture and fullness about them. They are available with tofu. This was a small box and had too many cucumbers for my liking. In substance, however, the flavor bomb you expect from Ekiben is still there, from a chili crisp that will elevate your heart rate to a delightful mix of aromatic greens and crunchy onions on top. Ordering a Thai tea yielded a small beverage which was on the sweeter side. I'd probably order something different next time, but for those that haven't tried the knife cut style noodles, I'm glad this neighborhood in Baltimore now has an Ekiben.

We arrived for Friday $35 endless dim sum brunch, and the Host did not know who we were even though I had spoken with him today before, and I remembered his voice. So not a good start. We were sat upstairs, and we sat there for probably 20 minutes easy before we were even offered a beverage. It was when they first opened, but I would expect you to have staff ready. The hits just kept coming... The ambience downstairs was beautiful, but the ambience where we were sat was just lifeless. It didn't have the same punch. After we ordered some drinks, we decided on what we wanted from the menu. Some things were hit or miss, once they arrived to the table. The soup dumplings were just OK, but I guess I have really high expectations for that coming from NYC. The chicken lo mein wasn't bad per se, the veggie dumplings were delicious, the pork buns were well sauced. Some things I didn't like included the Szechuan beef, it lacked depth, and it was just too hot for my friends to eat. They really loved the fried rice and the sesame red bean balls. The scallion pancake everyone raved about was mid at best. I loved the curry sauce it came with, but it just was a mess to eat. The braised pork belly rolls were lovely, as was the cucumber salad, and the spring rolls. The Mongolian beef and the walnut dumplings were OK but nothing to write about beyond that they were basically flavorless. The cocktails were so so, but nothing that screamed for me to order another. The one highlight I will say is that they did come back to ask as if we wanted anything else multiple times. So I'm glad that they followed up on whether we want more food because some places just leave you be once they drop off. Maybe I'd give them another chance, but the answer is probably no... who knows. It was just generic, and imagining paying the prices that they had for not a $35 dim sum brunch per person, seemed egregious to me for such utterly mediocre food. So I guess I'm glad I came out on a Friday morning.
