We were excited to try a new Chinese Vietnamese restaurant. Not much Vietnamese about it. The spring roll appetizer was good. The Vermicelli bowl with pork was pretty but not much flavor. One of us had the Chinese chicken and broccoli lunch special. Super heavy on the sauce but the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Excellent service with an extensive Chinese food menu and a very pretty new building. We probably won't go back as we were hoping for a more authentic Vietnamese experience but I think it's great for regular Chinese food. read more

Well, what a Father's Day dinner. After being seated, we waited 10 minutes for drinks. Then, we waited another 10 minutes to order appetizers. Twenty minutes later, the appetizers arrived. We ordered food, and 45 minutes later, it still hadn't come. The waitress didn't come to our table until I waved her down. When I asked about our food, I received a snobby response. We decided to leave. While I'm not someone who expects anything for free, I paid for the appetizer. As I was paying, the kitchen door opened, and I saw the waitress putting her fingers in the food we were supposed to receive to check if it was hot. Pathetic! First time trying this restaurant, I read comments indicating poor service , and oversaturated meals with sauce. I didn't experience any of these issues, the service was fine and quick, they are slightly understaffed, but they are recovering and working on that issue. The food was great, I had broccoli and beef and the sauce ratio to the plate was excellent, the beef was tender, the broccoli was not soggy they were al dente, and the appetizers also delicious . We had Vietnamese rolls , eggrolls, and Fried wontons. The restaurant was clean and kept up very well, they are working on getting a full bar, they are just waiting for their license to be approved. read more

I ordered the Lo Mein Combination with beef, chicken, and shrimp. While it came with a generous amount of meat, the saltiness completely overpowered the entire dish. It wasn't just a little salty--it was extremely salty to the point of being nearly inedible. I also asked for level 2 spice, but there wasn't even a hint of heat. I kept trying to give it a chance, but every bite was just salt, salt, salt. I couldn't even finish it, and now I'm tossing out a $25 meal. Our family visited Hao Hao in Leander (near HEB) for the first time on April 22, 2025. The restaurant was very clean. Our server was Ian. He was soooo courteous and helpful. We all ordered the lunch specials. Our food came quickly. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. read more

I ordered the shrimp & broccoli dish with rice. The main complaint I have is the broccoli, which was over cooked and limp. The overall taste was mediocre as well as the egg drop soup. I've had much better Asian food elsewhere and I found nothing unique or outstanding about the restaurant. The ice tea was good and our waitress was attentive and offered take home cups of tea. I would not recommend this restaurant as I think they can do much better. read more

This food was fresh and delicious. I ordered take out of the general tso and lo mein noddles. The food was still hot when I got home which was great! There were a few little bits that were cooked too much and I wasn't able to eat them but the other than that the chicken was delicious. The portions are great for the price! Unfortunately, the food was gone before I remembered to take a picture but that's just how good it was. I ordered the combined fried rice which has pork, chicken, shrimp, and beef. It's probably the best fried rice I've ever had. I had to swipe some dumplings too which were another success. They had me wait at the bar and offered water or drinks while I waited, everyone was so nice :) the ambiance seemed nice and it was begging to get busy which is always a good sign. We went on a Friday at 6 so we expected a wait since they just opened a couple of weeks ago. But the hostess really needed more training. There were three ( 4 tops) empty and three (2 tops) as well as 4 barstools together at bar and she was telling customers there was a 45 minute wait. She never looked around at restaurant to check open tables. Several customers walked out after waiting 30 minutes with empty tables. The food was great though and the bartenders were awesome. read more

We ordered the fried dumplings and crab rangoons. They were as good as anywhere else, nothing more. The hot and sour soup was about the same, plenty good but nothing more. Entrees consisted of Pad Thai, chicken fried rice and General Tso's Chicken. All the food was very good, not over sauced, and piping fresh hot. The portions were extremely large. Although the decor and restaurant itself was nice, the food was subpar & the staff couldn't care less if we were there or not. We walked in and were "greeted" by a staff member rolling utensils and didnt even bother to look up. we were sat by another staff member that was originally busy at the front register with a togo order on the phone. Our waitress forgot one of our appetizers & asked us if we still cared about it since we already got our entrees. The crab Rangoons were similar to the ones at Panda Express and they have corn in the egg drop soup (a little of a surprise for us but i know its normal in some restaurants). The main entrees (sesame chicken & peppered steak) were DOUSED in THICK sauce, and the fried rice was sticky and underwhelming. We asked for the check and after waiting 10 minutes and noticing our waitress talking to another staff member instead, the bus-boy helped us out. Was so excited that we were finally getting a Vietnamese / Chinese restaurant near us. However, very disappointed. Was told 45 minutes on call in order. By time I got there - 30 minutes later - had to wait for a while in 1 line for all to go orders while all the call in orders are sitting on the counter getting cold. Food was cold and sticky/pasty. The $5.00 Thai Tea was the WORST! Not real Thai tea !! I'm willing to pay $5.00 for the real thing, but this was the gross powder fake version of Thai tea. It's the owners who should be responsible for this, not the workers, workers were trying but they only have so much to work with.
