Came by on a Saturday afternoon after having lunch at X-Fish across the street. I've been to the original location in Fullerton and their previous location on Imperial so I wanted to see what goodies they had today. I know they used to be more known for their cupcakes and cakes but they also have other items now like cookies and pudding. My boyfriend and I got a sprinkle cookie, cookies & cream cupcake, chocolate cake pudding, and a box of brownie ends. We paid $25.75 for everything. Three custom cake orders, an $800 cookie order. I received a completely wrong cake last year, and the cake this year was not fully what I ordered. If you have an issue on the weekend you'll speak to the girls up front and they'll apologize, but nothing will be done to fix your cake. You'll be told multiple times that an owner will call you and they won't. They let their supervisors solve issues for them. And their cake decorators will tell management that you gave them full creative control, when you didn't. And then your cake will be wrong. Also, they'll tell you that some of the girls there lack common sense and don't do things properly... that's not what you want to hear when you're spending hundreds of dollars on cakes and cookies. Unfortunately, I did not receive the same kindness. The owner glared at me as I perused the cupcakes. When it was my turn, she was less than helpful. She charged me for the box despite my large purchase. In addition, she continued looking at me like I was an alien and had a bit of an off putting attitude. I always appreciate a good non-dairy option at a bakery. Hapa has three flavors of vegan macarons. They were tasty, but honestly I couldn't taste the difference. I had a lemon one and I couldn't taste lemon, but was tasty nonetheless. The cashier was friendly and helpful. The shop is small, but it's not meant for dine in. I picked up what I needed and I was about to pay and she charged me $17 for one banana cake....something didn't seem right...so I stopped and asked her if their small tub of banana pudding costs $17 she said "ohhhh opps I charged you for 2" so if I had never asked and she never even bothered to check I would have paid her for 2! She definitely didn't feel bad and maybe she was trying to be sneaky that I wouldn't notice. Maybe if she did her job...and paid attention to the customer instead of being chatty with her co-worker this would not happen! Their lack of attention in customer service is simply disturbing! I do not recommend. I ordered two cakes two weekends in a row and both had problems. First cake was supposed to be a white cake with chocolate frosting but I received the reverse, chocolate cake with white frosting. They gave me store credit for my next cake. My next cake was made correctly but the decoration was broken off and the store clerk tried to fix it and it made it look worse. The store clerk did admit that it looked terrible and made no other attempts to help remedy the problem. Couple days after the party, I sent an email to one of the owners and never received a response back, I then attempted to email again about a month later with zero response. I wasn't asking for a refund but as a customer it would be nice to get some type of acknowledgement back. read more

They have so many delicious flavors, many of which are very unique, and they always have fun seasonal offerings too. The biggest problem here was the cupcakes just weren't that good. The vanilla was dry and the chocolate was ever drier. The flavor was fine. They have a good location and nice looking shop. The employees weren't particularly helpful but all that could be overlooked if the cupcakes were great, but they just weren't. Dry and average flavor. They have more to try, the cookies look good, but I don't feel compelled to go back. I love to support small businesses & it's such a great opportunity to discover businesses that I may not have the opportunity to see on a day to day basis. This was my first time visiting this bakery. I got the banana pudding and 2 cookies (chocolate chip and cookie butter frosted) since they were doing a BOGO promotion.
