Went to their "pop-up" location outside their permanent future residence on Pollasky. Workers were super nice and shared their specials with us. As a Fil-Am woman, I loved seeing a Filipino inspired beverage menu. Their specials were different turon (banana lumpia) flavored drinks. I got their turon latte and it was good! Probably would've taste it better with oat milk like they recommended, but I wanted to be more macro friendly so I opted for regular milk (totally my fault lol). It taste like a caramel latte with the aftertaste of banana, which was kind of nice because sometimes fake banana can be overpowering. If they were to have this same drink line, I would try the turon Matcha next time! Will definitely return to try it all. Can't wait for the actual cafe location to open on Pollasky. Excellent drink! The banana syrup was just beautiful and the cream foam they put on top had such flavor. Unfortunately the espresso didn't seem to really be the star of the show in this drink. They're looking for a good drink with some OK espresso, definitely worth trying to drink. read more

Honestly I believe that Hapa has a lot of potential to become a great coffee staple in the future. The spot for the shop is ideal, in the middle of old town Clovis and connecting with a local pastry shop; the combination could not get any better. I was greeted by a cashier, nothing out of the ordinary and the space provides a good amount of seating both indoor and outdoors. However, they are lacking in flavor for their coffee, I ordered the Ube Leche Flan and did not get any Ube notes, it tasted more like regular coffee with milk and hazelnut creamer. I think that if Hapa were to use homemade syrups or another brand that allows for the coffee to be able to get all flavors present it will be unstoppable in the Central Valley! read more

I was looking forward to trying this new coffee spot and I really really really really want to like it unfortunately, the coffee was just coffee. I ordered the Ube Leche flan latte, Lolas mocha, Turon latte and shaken espresso. Every single one tasted the same, like just coffee, no flavor, no sugar no milk. Went on a Sunday afternoon and tried the Ube and Strawberry Calamansi drinks. Service was reasonably quick, and the ambience is so cute! Lots of seating options, whether there were big groups or couples, we snagged a seat by the windows. Very clean in the building, everything was thoughtfully decorated. Tried this new coffee place by Riverstone. It's located inside a thrift store on a road kind of behind Riverwalk area. You kind of would have to know about it to see it. Not much of a reason to drive down that road unless you need gas (laughs in TESLA). Ordered the Matcha with Bannana and Mahal Kita. Both with oat milk because they were out of regular. My wife said she really enjoyed her matcha. I tried it and it tasted okay. I will go by my wife's review though and she gives it a 5/5. The Mahal Kita HOT tasted just okay. Maybe it's better cold? Or maybe the oat milk gave it a chalky taste. I would be open to trying something from them again when they have regular milk. But I give this drink a 2/5. So average of both drinks is a 3/5. I've been to their primary location in the vintage shop in Madera. Tried the ube coffee drink and it was delicious. Checked out the Clovis farmers market this weekend just to look for their tent. Got my pumpkin spice cold brew of the season. It was sooo delicious with strong coffee and pumpkin flavor. I've never finished a coffee so fast and debating on getting another drink but didn't need more caffeine. Service is always friendly as they patiently explain the drink options to me. I'm big on supporting small biz coffee shops and will pay a bit more for delicious quality crafted drinks and great service, but I'm not sure what justifies the price of Hapa's drinks... they definitely have some of the highest cost around compared to other shops for matchas/coffees - and for one small size. I wanted to give this place a chance and to see what set them apart, but for me, I'm not feeling like what they're offering is more amazing than any other coffee/matcha shop. Some of the flavors they have are different, but it still just feels overpriced. Nothing I've tried there yet has made me want to run back to get it again, but I've tried a few of their different drinks to see if anything was better. I also noticed the second time I ordered a Matcha that the cup was different and seemed smaller for the same price. I was pretty surprised at what they gave me the last time, for the cost. I'm not sure I can justify spending money here when I can get Matcha drinks somewhere else for a better price, amount, and for the same or better quality. One day I went thinking I'd try a different matcha drink, only to find out they were out. They didn't post anything on their instagram about being out either, so I wasted a trip over there. For the coffee - I previously tried one of their coffees when they did a pop-up, and honestly it was really bad. I don't know if it was an off day, but I didn't really taste any coffee in it, it was pretty watered down, the flavor was really weird and tasted off. I ended up just throwing it away. So, $9 lost on that and I'm hesitant to want to try their coffee again. As far as the service goes, it was OK. Not super friendly or welcoming, but basic. Overall, I had hoped for more from this business. Definitely room for improvement and I hope they will reconsider their pricing. At this point, I'm not sure they're the best coffee place to have in Nourish. I get that it's not easy doing business and there's a lot that goes into things, but I'm not sure how their price can be higher than everyone else's, especially when their drinks miss the mark.. Not sure what to say about ambiance here, although in standalone deployment they have to use a smelly and somewhat loud generator to power their electronics, so it's not great. Service speed about 10 minutes or so. A few of these appear to be sold out; a helpful indicator of demand and value. The coffee is fantastic. The ingredients are distinctive and taste great! I have tried Hapa 3-4 times both at their pop up and at their pollasky location. Coming from a filipino background I think it's pretty hard to taste the flavors that they are offering. The ube leche flan is strong with a coffee flavor, if you were to hand someone and ask them what flavor they taste it would just be coffee. The flavors are very mild and do not stand out as a latte. The matcha drinks are a hit or miss with the flavors, some are stronger than the other. However if you want coffee and want taste the cold brews are the only drink that have the distinct flavors they offer. read more
