Walkable local coffee shop with excellent iced or hot coffees? Count me in! I wouldn't consider myself a regular, but when it's time for coffee and a chat Kuppa Joy is almost always first at mind. Their counter staff is pleasant and kind, the cafe is always clean. You can sit inside or outside with a few different areas and types of seating. Love their coffee, and matcha. They often will have seasonal drinks. I love their floral drinks during May for Mother's Day. Their hallelujah is glorious! I'm not a huge coffee fan, but I can drink these anytime! The plain matcha is not too sweet, it's perfect. The only thing I'm actually not a fan of here is their garden bagel. They use store bought avocado spread and it just doesn't taste good. The bagel needs a little more salt or taste. They used to do like a garden cream cheese, that was good. read more

This coffee shop is basically a pocket sized Starbucks reserve level coffee experience in the Central Valley. The people there know their coffee and produce some of the more interesting stuff out of Kuppa joy. Service is pretty good except when it gets busy. It was my first time trying Kuppa Joy yesterday and I was extremely happy and satisfied with my visit! There is plenty of parking around the cafe so it was easy to find parking. I got there around 10 am and it was busy! Luckily, the line wasn't too long and we were able to order our food and drinks quickly. Everyone working there is so friendly and kind, I really enjoyed the good service. I got the Kuppa Heaven while my partner got the Hallelujah and we shared their breakfast panini. Our food and drinks came out maybe 5 minutes after ordering and since there wasn't a place to sit inside, we took everything outside to their lovely patio. My drink was SOOOO good, it had the perfect amount of sweetness to coffee ratio and it wasn't overly milky for a latte either. I will definitely be back for another cup of joy next time I'm in the area! read more

I mean who doesn't love Kuppa Joy! It's a Fresno/Clovis staple. I'm not a coffee person, so I always get either their iced spiced chai, blood orange green tea, or lavender lemonade. They are all great. The chai is a pretty decent coffee shop chai latte. The baristas are also very quick and friendly, which makes everything feel very nice. I normally really like Kuppa Joy! My favorite drink is the Hallelujah cause I love the mixture of the white chocolate and the cinnamon so that's good. I tried the Pumpkin Pie latte for their fall special and was really disappointed by it. It was honestly undrinkable. I don't know if it was the nutmeg or too much of the spice they put in but it was not for me. It tastes exactly like Pumpkin Pie but was not good, and I really love Pumpkin Pie. read more

Such a beautiful, faith-based coffee shop! I was craving something a little sweet and tried the Hallelujah (25% sweet) ; it was absolutely perfect. The mix of white chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon was still on the sweet side, but the coffee flavor really shined through. I truly enjoyed this cup! Their flavored lattes make a yummy sweet treat; I'm curious to how their other coffee bevs and matcha holds up. As soon as you step in, you can feel how welcoming of an environment it is. Each and every one of the staff is so friendly and you can tell they treat their customers like family. You can tell they've built such a community. So many regulars integrate this place into their daily routines and it's such a cool thing to see - this is really a testament to how loved this place is. Perfect place to catch up with friends and/or study! I've been to this location more times than I can count because it is such a great study spot! There's plenty of outlets, the drinks are fire, bathrooms are clean, and their pastries are amazingggg. Their chocolate croissant is hands down the best chocolate croissant I've ever had and a must-have when I go! Their paninis are also so so so fire. However, with this being such a good coffee shop, snagging a seat may be difficult sometimes. THIS PLACE IS ALWAYS POPPIN'! Even the outside seating is hard to come by sometimes. Highly recommend coming in early, especially if you're there to study in order to get a seat near an outlet. I haven't had a drink I didn't like here! Like other reviews mentioned, it is pretty difficult to find a seat (and even more difficult to find one with an outlet) but there's always outdoor seating and people constantly coming and going. I got the Kuppa Heaven & Hallelujah and both are a solid 5/5! (definitely on the sweet side if you're into that). Kuppa also has some of the most friendly, cheerful employees that I've talked to, which is super important to me. Can't wait to make this my new favorite study spot! read more

The barista told me that they can make it exactly like a London fog tea, they just need to add some lavender and vanilla. I love the drink, not only comes as I would expect, but they have a wonderful froth on top, and they wrote the word joy in honey. Just a perfect touch that makes this drink a little more special than others. As always, the staff was incredibly kind and polite. They always make sure that I get exactly what I want, and of course, try to sell me on some extra pastries. My only complaint was that there were quite a few flies inside. My friend and I split most of our time between talking and swatting flies. I've been at this location several times, and it's never been like this. I don't think there is a single local business out of Fresno that is as popular as Kuppa. It seems I have to fight a wave of fans for a seat at any of their locations... and I love it LOL. One thing I will always admire is their service. This place is built on their strong religious morals to serve and build connections with their customers. Despite the hundreds of people they serve per day, the service is always genuine. They remember all of their regulars and take time to have friendly conversations with everybody. The inside is pretty big, but fills up pretty fast. If you plan to study try to get here early or always keep on the lookout because the seats with outlets are limited. However if the inside is full, they almost always have space outside in the patio. The overall ambiance is pretty trendy and chill, which works well with how welcoming the service is. In addition, their coffee and pastries are always delicious. Their house specials are on the sweeter side, but if you're not into that you can always go for the stronger brews such as the cortados, americanos, etc. Cinnamon is a must in my coffee, so I always get an iced Hallelujah. Its sweet and the coffee is always well roasted, a 5/5 everytime. All of their food is made in house. Their chocolate croissants are the best I've ever had, and other people share the same thought because they always seem to sell out before the afternoon. I've been almost all the different cafes and drive ins they have in Madera and Fresno but I specifically like this location because it's a sit down cafe and it's bigger with more tables and an outside patio as well.
