Fun Update - WOW. Do *not* I repeat, NOT bring your dog here. Let me give you the play-by-play. I brought my 18 month old dog to this groomer for the first time. They seemed friendly and genial. I returned after leaving my dog at theirs for four hours to him completely shaved. Moments after we left, he began shaking uncontrollably. I assumed he was cold and that this was due to his double-coat. How wrong I was. Out of kindness for this being a family run business, I decided to not mention they fact they groom-burned him in three places, one of which led to an infection. I had to pay $100 for their horrific $60 ($10 tip) groom. Initially, I was shaking from uncontrollable anger. I have called them several times over the past week, but found myself in mental and emotional MESS considering my dog is NOTHING like his former self. Constantly shakes, has been pooping inside the house (he has NEVER done this), is afraid of absolutely everything. Isn't eating. It's wonderful! So, to appease and put this to rest after a WEEK of turmoil, I simply asked the business to consider *refunding me and paying the vet bill.* Well. Besides with arguing with me and gaslighting me over the phone about what was true the first few times I called crying, they ended up speaking to "management" which then, I kid you not, QUOTED BACK to me the wavier I signed about my dog with meant they assumed no responsibility for scarring my dog and giving him an infection. Cute! So again, in complete shock, I asked again if they were intended to refund me, to which they said, no. It was a choice. They chose not to do the KIND thing and instead, do this. So, my dear dog parents who may love their pets with all their hearts. Think twice before bringing your children here. Because they might maim them, scar them, and then will take no responsibility "unless you come the day after." Cute. Cute. - Oh, also forgot to mention, they continued to try to gaslight me by saying "on the video, everything looked normal!" because my puppy is an ANGEL and doesn't cry or squeal while you cut him. If you expect to not double-check dogs and ACTUALLY be cautious to avoid incidents, just say it! - Additionally, don't say you want me to call to "resolve" it and then pull what you pulled above. Again, you're gaslighting me. You shouldn't be in business, and if you continue to treat your customers and their pets this way, you likely won't be for very long. read more

I've only come here multiple times out of convenience, but I am almost positive my time at Happiness Grooming has come to an end. I never feel quite right about my experience. There is literally always something that throws me off. *ALWAYS ask for pricing prior to your service. (You may legitimately be told onc price over the phone, when you're checking your kid in and when it's time to go. Save yourself the trouble. Trust. The staff is super friendly and family owned. That is the upside of my general visits. I feel like they enjoy what they do. Great. You're provided with a breakdown of all services rendered to your fur baby once they're ready for pickup. Parking is decent depending on the time, there are always a consistent amount of people coming in and out of 7/11. My quarrel is more with their business rapport than anything. My first visit here, I called and made an appointment. My place is in the area, so I decided to walk up to Milata's appointment with my mom. I wanna say we had a 9 am appointment because I asked for first available. THEY WEREN'T EVEN THERE WHEN I GOT THERE. I called multiple times. I could literally hear the phone ringing inside. We waited and waited and waited. Finally out of frustration, we left. Halfway back to my place, they call. We double back, but... again. Out of convenience, I just said f it and gave grace because we allllll deserve grace. When you're paying for a service, there are some things that should go without having to be said. The silver lining to this specific time was that her haircut was on point and I swear my baby was sparkling. In this particular instance, I figured. Imma give them another opportunity to see what's up. My following visit, not only was I charged more but the services I received also decreased. Milata's mouth wasn't left clean like the first time I brought in and her haircut looked rushed. They forgot to give me back her collar, so I had to come back for it. I brought her in with it, they could have at least put it back on if they weren't going to remember to hand it back. The pink bow ties they add to her ears are a nice touch, but I'd much rather her be properly bathed and washed first and foremost. I've paid a different price every single time I've brought my Milata here. I don't even pay this much for her size in LOS ANGELES... in the nice parts of town. LOL It just doesn't feel right continuing to support a business that I don't feel has worked with me or has been considerate to me provided all the facts. I say this because I was vocal each and every time I came all the way down to my last phone call to verify prices. I'm probably more bothered by the fact that I can't go there anymore out of principal because it's an undeniably low key close and in proximity. Inconsistencies from jump have been consistent. I never know what I'm going to get and this has happened at least 3 separate occasions. You gotta draw the line somewhere. Dignity is vital. This could have been a long lasting relationship as I LOVE supporting mom pops, but all in all I shouldn't feel some time of way each and every time I leave the establishment. Peace out, HG. In response to what you chose to do with the information I've provided you with: *Thank you for taking the time. I've never brought my dog in "matted". Ever. As a matter of fact, if anything, your establishment has been thorough with her "needs" on the paperwork you disperse during the conclusion of visits. You failed to mention this on any of the visits, why now? I very specifically mention that your pricing has been inconsistent. It's been "fixed" and adjusted multiple times due to these inconsistencies. That's not the point. Furthermore, the fact of the matter is, because I have brought my babygirl to you multiple times, I am well aware of HG's capabilities and know for a fact you do an amazing job removing the stains underneath Milata's mouth because you've done it before and without my mentioning or request to do so. It didn't take a miracle, just time and care. Accountability goes a long way, so it's refreshing to know HG has no desire to take any responsibility within my experience coming to your establishment. You've only solidified my decision. I am hopeful in the future, HG aspires at least listening to your patrons. From what I can see, you have a pattern with the reviews mentioning being unhappy with the service/establishment and have done nothing but passively aggressively try to justify your actions... which you're completely entitled to. Nevertheless, why would we take the time, our time to articulate our not so great experiences without reason? & maybe try laying off the gaslighting a bit. read more

This business should be shut down. My friend and I went to pick up her little dog. They had him in a cage with a rope tied to his neck, with the end of the leash tied to the top of the cage. The rope was tight around his little neck. He couldn't move his head. I called out to the son of this business, and told him they were practicing animal cruelty. He denied it. He said bc this little dog bites or gets frisky. It is true, but he was the only dog tied up like that. The rest of the dogs were not tied up this way. Including a huge dog, that looked a bit scary. I told them that was animal cruelty, and that I would NEVER take my cat there. I asked him how do I know what you would do to my cat? He looked very nervous, as a customer heard me leaving with her dog looking horrified. They proceeded to send my friend a 10 dollar coupon. She said they never do this?! Then they started harassing her, calling her back to back. When she finally picked up the phone (after sending a 10 coupon) they got aggressive. They did not hide to her that they were highly upset about my comment, bc a customer heard. They tried to make her feel bad, bc supposedly they charge her 45 dollars, and should charge more, bc her dog nips. Yesterday we weren't even going there, and on Vanowen and Sepulveda he's shaking like a leaf. The dog knew where he was. Why Everytime this dog is shaking when she brings him there. I am positive and absolutely know that is a sign of abuse. An abused person would act the same way being beaten. It's called abuse and PTSD. I have never seen such an abhorrent thing like this in my life. I wish to God I took a pic of had my phone camera running. They were upset with my friend, bc of me, and taking out on her. On the phone the son is trying to gaslight my friend and make her feel bad, bc of me. Why? Because I don't like liars, and not do I shut my mouth witnessing abuse or maltreatment of anyone. I've been bringing my dog here for the past year and he loves it. My boy is very rambunctious at times but they know how to talk to him and keep him calm they accommodate all the dogs so well. Whenever I drop him off or pick him up I see how they treat him and the rest of the dogs that are there and it brings me a lot of joy to know that my boy is in great hands. Everyone is so extremely friendly I really don't understand some of the bad reviews they have.
