I've been a customer of them for about a year plus and they usually do a good job. But lately I've been seeing inconsistencies with their work. The last straw for me was a simple bath request for my German Shepard /Husky mix. The bath came out good however she came back with a bloody paw from a last minute nail cut which left my dogs paw and parts of her body bloodied which now undermines the bath. I was a loyal customer and now I don't think I want to continue with their business. Please be mindful when they're busy. They will rush and might finish up your dog last minute leading to rushed and potentially hurtful work. read more

A Terrier mix that was supposed to get the summer cut ONLY and a Siberian husky that was supposed to get a wash & de-shed ONLY! My Siberian was Naked! Called last Thursday and was told to bring my dog in the next day, Friday. On Friday morning I was running a bit late, so I called to let them know. They said they did not have an appointment booked for my dog. I asked if there was an opening on Monday and they said they had an opening at 11:30 am. When we arrived to Happy Dogs, there was a note on the door saying they were closed due to an emergency. While I pray that the emergency wasn't serious, I will say that I was very upset that they didn't even bother to call me to advise they were closed. I have been bringing my Alaskan Malamute here for several months now. They rarely recognize me or my dog, and I have never personally met the groomer, although I have asked. Koda usually looks ok when he is finished, but he is never completely dry and could use a bit more brushing. I ended up taking him to a different groomer and he looks spectacular! Sorry Happy Dogs, I won't be back. Customer service is everything and this business simply lacks this business skill. read more

Please avoid this place at all cost. When speaking to the receptionist, they were informed that we only wanted a trim. And to please not shave our Pomeranian, because everyone knows that when you shave a Pomeranian, the hair will not grow back the same. I think the groomer took matters into her own hands and disregarded everything we asked them not to do. And did just that. She shaved my Pomeranian and tried to make him what she believes was to look like a "lion". To which she completely failed and now my pom looks like a meme. I took my Maltese mix in for a bath and haircut on March18th. While shaving her private area they apparently shaved way to close and now my dog has a fever, she won't eat or drink water, nor go to the bathroom. I'm now sitting outside the vet's office and just got notified that she has a very bad infection. She also develop fever. Sending her home with a prescription antibiotic ointment and oral antibiotics to make her feel better. She has to wear a cone on her head for 5 days at least. Got my dogs glands expressed today. Asked to see if we would be able to watch/be around since my dog gets really scared and starts to shake at groomers. The guy helping me agreed and said it would be ok to just do it up front. He took a towel and used that to express my dogs anal glands. I've seen it done before where they use gloves and their fingers but never a towel (a dirty towel, if not already bad enough). Tonight my dog pooped in the house which he never does so we took him out to go poop. At the end there was blood coming out with his poop. I usually take my dachshund there about every 2 or 3 months, no problems, but when I dropped him off at about 1:30, the lady told me that they would be closing early today, so when they call you to pick up your dog, come immediately.. odd, but I set an alarm & at returned to pick up my dog at 3pm, when she had told me they were going to close. Then I'm told to wait 20 more minutes?? But when I finally do get my dog home, he won't stop panting. It hasn't affected his appetite nor his desire to play ball, he's drank water, I don't know, I feel something is wrong with his visit to the groomers. When she brought him out, she commented "he was really dirty"?? I replied, "Yea, he's been hanging in a dirtyard, that's why I brought him". Worst dog groomer, took my dog there after. I picked him up he wouldn't stop whimpering. My dog has never cried when being left or picked up form the groomer. It turned out he wouldn't move and the vet said he was either hung or tugged on very hard by the neck. His lymph nodes were so swollen of how hard he was pulled on. Ended up with a vet bill of 400 dollars. When I called they said they would reimburse us .. and when i brought the bill in. The women was rude, raised her voice and said the dog was old and that's why he was not ok. Went to this groomer when my regular groomer couldn't get me in for a couple weeks. They were absolutely amazing and got me in the next day! My maltipoo Sloane came out looking gorgeous and they were kind and she had a good experience. We will definitely be going back. NEVER going back here again!!!! I've been here before and have been happy with their service. Thought I found a groomer, but boy was I wrong. I called to see how long it would take to get my dog groomed and they said 2 hours...,ok, that's reasonable. I don't like leaving her at grooming places too long because the actual grooming doesn't take that long and the rest of the time, they're just sitting in crates. Anyway, two hours had passed and I called to check on her and they tell me another 1 1/2 hrs! What??!!! Seriously?! At this point, I'm annoyed. So I wait for the call and 11/2 hrs pass by and no call... So I go over there and he says 15 minutes more... Sigh, really?! Ugh, this better be one fantastic grooming job! Finally, after 4 hrs and 15 minutes, I get my dog back! Paid and left and she seemed fine. I bring her home and I go to pick her up and she yelps! I turn her over and she has HUGE red welts on her thighs and scabs from where they shaved her!!!!! WTF??!!!! Are these people blind???!??!? Or do they think I won't notice the huge red splotches on the underside of my dog!!!!!! Long story short, never going here again!!!! And if you love your dog, then you won't either! This place sucks! We love bringing our pooch here and will continue to do so for a long time. The staff treats your pup with as much care and love as you would. Their service is phenomenal and consistent. If they can make our dog look presentable then they can make any dog look just as good. This family owned establishment (part of the reason we go there to support) is as good as any fancy groomer you will find. My wife and I actually took our dog for a walk just the other day and received a compliment by a young gentleman in our neighborhood. This business is fraud and does a horrible job. They operate illegally and everytime I go there they lie that the credit card machine is not operating. They do everything possible to get only cash payments. They forced me to pay cash on multiple occasions and when asked to provide a receipt, they refused!!! I was able to take several photos of their appointment books pages and some other evidents that I will be reporting to the city and authorities. I took an abandoned, super smelly, dirty, hyperactive MaltiPoo here over the weekend, and they did an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING job. By super smelly, I mean like feces and urine probably soaked in his coat. Although I had to wait quite a while, I COULD NOT complain. My dog came out smelling so great, and his cut was so clean and adorable! The staff speaks minimal english, but they know enough to communicate back and forth about your dog. They are also very very friendly! As for pricing, they have BEST deal! The lady I spoke to when I dropped off my dog said that the fee would be $50 for his size. When I came to pick my dog up, I anticipated to pay more because of my dogs behavior, condition, and the level of difficulty to deal with him was pretty high. This other groomer where I take my 8lbs. well-behaved Shihtzu at charged me extra once because he said my dogs coat was hard to shave off. She likes to lick herself way too much so her coat gets matted quickly. But anyways, this place stayed true to the price they gave me despite the trouble they went through just to get my dog cleaned! Deserved a $20 tip! Well, to sum up my experience here, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. We are DEFINTELY coming back here and next time I will be bringing my Shihtzu here from now on as well.
