After years of recommending this groomer and bringing my multiple dogs here, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I initially overlooked the owner's abrasive attitude and my dog's apparent fear of the place, despite his claims that my dog was aggressive. However, after trying other groomers and consistently receiving glowing feedback about my dog's sweet behavior, it became clear that this wasn't the right fit. At other places, my dog is calm and content. One instance that sealed my decision was when I got a call, 30 minutes after picking up my dog, saying he was ready for pickup. When I mentioned that I had already taken him home, there was no apology... just "ok" before hanging up. Like excuse me? No sense of security here. While the grooming here is acceptable, there are definitely better options out there with superior service and kinder handling. read more

The pooch parlor is a little bit hidden behind the 711 on Van Nuys I arrive and they took my dog immediately and they were so informative about the services that I was going to receive. I've been going there for a while now they are very prompt and they also give you a time estimated as to when you can pick your pet up and will call you when the pet is ready. My dog is very happy there and they do a great job. This is a small family owned business and they are very friendly. I love this place. Please help my pet groomers and they do a great job from toenails to every part of ears and everything being cleaned and groomed and smelling great with a bandanna each time I take my dog. Great work. My dog gets a schnauzer cut but they always charge me extra for matting. I don't think it's necessary since I'm able to brush her hair but I can't argue that so I pay it. The team at Roxy's is phenomenal with my two fur babies, Obi and Luke. They really can do it all. Like any normal dog, my pups always get a little tense when arriving but during their time there, they're superstars! Roxy always grooms as I ask for and they take such great care of my boys. My favorite thing about their grooming technique is the grooming on the paws. They always leave my boys with hairless bottom paws which helps me out tremendously at home because they pick up less dirty from the outside on their walks. Avoid this place !!! Took my dog and they completely shaved him and left him with such a choppy cut to still charge me 70$! My usual place was booked and I thought to come here due to the reviews but I wish I left as soon as I came in. They aren't welcoming at all super rude from the start and lazy. Said they would only touch my dogs face if I allowed them to shave it when I said no just trim his eyes and ears at least, but instead the groomer is quick to say he won't continue the cut but still has the audacity to charge me full price. It was so unnecessary to shave my dog down to his SKIN but they really were trying to just do a quick job for the easy cash. Literally tried to charge me an extra 5 bucks to buff his nails after ruining my dogs haircut when it should be included lol. Take your dog with people who care and understand not people who are there to offend you. Very nice spot, they were able to accommodate my dog and take her in last minute...didn't seem like it was a busy day, they finished her within two hours. Very pleased with customer service, Patricia was very welcoming and explained how she was going to groom my dog. I'm giving two stars because I wasn't very pleased with the cut...it looked messy, asymmetrical. I have a Lhasa apso and her eyes get very watery and "eye boogers" tend to accumulate. The employees were nice, but the grooming not so much. Face framing is terrible and they had to shave him down so much that he came out pink due to a little matting. I feel like that was out of laziness because the only matting he had was behind his ears, which I took care of before bringing him in. Also expensive for such a sub par job. I searched on Yelp for about 30 minutes desperately trying to find a groomer with good reviews because I specifically wanted to avoid a choppy cut. I typically go to wash my dog llc, and they do a great job but didn't have any appointments. (Organization was poor) -I called to follow up on her pick up time, and one of the guys working there told me I should tell them my dog was a senior pup, prior to the appointment because she "sits too much"! Other groomers provide a questionnaire to fill out out prior to the appointment so they can gather data such as allergies/age/breed/. Nothing was provided or asked. (Location was questionable) -the photos on Yelp make the place look super cute and welcoming, but upon arriving it was a 360 from what I imagined and made me nervous for my pup. (Attention to detail was poor) -all that was asked was what are we doing today? But nothing was noted In front of me or explained such as the length of clipper cuts etc., Pros: -took me in for a same day appointment -Were pretty punctual to the time they said she'd be ready (although I'm pretty sure because they rushed her cut-see photos) -$55 for a haircut/wash $2 if you pay with card. -groomer was polite read more

We took our Snowflake and she came out looking Lit (fabulous, gucci). We had such a great experience at Roxy's. So we had been wanting to take our dog to get her fur cut for a couple of weeks now since the cold has left but we really haven't had time. We live near Six Flags but work in Van Nuys, By chance Both of us had to work yesterday which was a Saturday, I am fortunate enough to be allowed to take my dog in to the office on occasion. So I called around to see if anyone could take her as a last minute appointment. We got so lucky with these guys. They immediately said yes, no problem. When we arrived Francisco greeted us and was super nice. Snowflake was in great hands the guys in the facility did such a great job on her. Due to our lack of time we didn't really have a picture of what we wanted but told him summer ready but to look cute and she looks so cute!!! We cant wait to take her here again. Took my dog here at the beginning of the month. I don't really take my dog to get groomed, usually bathe her at home but she needed a desparte shave. This place is nearby my house and the staff was very responsive via yelp message. My dog is not social and is scared of people she doesn't know. She definitely freaked out and gave them a bit of a hard time (might be an understatement). I received a call to go back to get her out of the cage, which was no problem since I know how she can be. Regardless of her difficult behavior, they were still willing to see her in the future. They were completely understanding and patient with my dog. I would definitely take her back. I brought my dog here recently to get groomed who is a St. Bernard mix so he is big and grows long fluffy hair. For a couple days after his appointment i noticed him constantly limping and walking slowly. I ended up inspecting him, and found a huge deep gash right under his arm pit with lots of fresh blood. His meat was literally cut open. I realized the person who groomed him had cut him and didn't even bother telling us. I doubt they didn't realize. I took him to an animal urgent care immediately (who said that if i waited a couple more days he would've suffered serious infections and possibly have to get his arm amputated). He had to get multiple staples. Luckily the grooming management paid for the bill and was understanding and helpful. However, i don't think i will be returning here again unfortunately. read more
