I spent $217 on a to go order. 2 of the items I ordered were missing. I went back in and told them and they assured me everything was there. I got home 50 miles away and the pork Burnt Ends were not in the order and neither was the crispy beef I ordered. The Crab Rangoon lacked flavor and there was very little Crab. The pineapple chicken was drowning in a thick sauce made with tons of Mayonnaise and had only a few pieces of pineapple. I didn't get any but my son said he found a couple pieces. The bone in ribs were tough and under cooked, and the beef Teriyaki was over cooked so they were very dry. The Beef and onions was good and the pork egg foo young was very good. The brown sauce had delightful taste. The chicken fingers could have been cooked another 2 minutes. I do have to admit the pork egg rolls were very good. All in all probably won't return unless I just want egg foo young. I only rated it a 2 because a couple of items were ok but I can get those closer to home. read more

The Chinese food's pretty good and atmosphere is classic Chinese restaurant but their sushi leaves much to be desired! They don't honor their online menu prices and Jack up the cost of your order without warning. Got the "charashi" for TWENTY BUCKS with the thinnest pieces of fish that are usually, at actual Japanese restaurants, at least a ¼" thick. Yeah, some fish is meant to be cut thin but thus was price gauging at its finest! 3 pieces combined maybe made ¼". We had such a good meal they deserve a shout out. Pu pu platter was the best we've had in a long time. It had more selections than any we've ever had. It came with the Teriyaki steak and the teriyaki chicken. The ribs were full ribs not boneless and very meaty and tasty. I usually skip those. The house rice was loaded with meat. The hot tea was served with the platter which you don't get in most Chinese restaurants now. We had a scorpion bowl that was delicious. All in all we had a great meal at an unexpected stop and we're glad we did. Our waitress was very attentive and was right on the money. The only thing I didn't care for was in the restaurant the tables were too close to each other. We could hear every word the table next to us was saying and they were loud so it was hard to really enjoy the atmosphere. I LOVE their food. I ordered House Chow mein today and it was fabulous! Loaded with lots of extra things and fresh and a bit crunchy which is how I like it. They make the noodles fresh inhouse, its ruined me forever for the regular ones everyone is so used to elsewhere. The bnls spare ribs here are delicious too. They are well trimmed so you dont get big hunks of gristle or fat (like at most places around ManchVegas.) and very thoughtfully flavorful. I stopped here for a late night dinner after work and was seated in the spacious dining room with booth and table seating. There's a large colorful painted mural of a tropical paradise on the wall. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein Dinner Special ($7.85) served with pork fried rice and choice of 2 appetizers (I got 2 beef teriyakis and 9 fried wonton skins), a dinner roll, and a complementary pot of hot tea. The good portion of food was filling and tasty. The beef teriyaki sticks were on the chewy side and the Lo Mein had good flavors with vegetables and chicken pieces. So we have tried 3 places in the Goffstown area. First was North Garden. Food tasted ok...but everyone felt sick after. Then, we tried Golden Tao. food was just OK. Weird duck sauce. New Wa Toy was the last and definitely the best. They do the basic stuff (PU PU Platters, pork fried rice, general gaus chicken, etc.) well. Fried stuff is crisp and not too oily. Pork spare ribs are tender and not "jerky like". Egg rolls are good. If you want decent Americanized Chinese Food, this is the place in Goffstown. read more

I came in Friday for take out and ordered the lobster shrimp kew. For $25 I got about six pieces of lobster the size of a penny and very chewy. No claw or knuckle. And to make it worse there was no shrimp. Not one piece! Been coming here for years and can't take chance of getting cheated again. Maybe the owner who took my order was offended I paid cash and didn't put tip money in his jar? We ordered food using the app connected to their website and received something that we did not expect. After picking up the food and getting home we called and explained the situation and the gentleman on the phone told me it was the apps fault and showed zero consideration for making right on the error. I ordered delivery this evening since my usual Chinese restaurant wasn't open. I can't remember the last time I had eaten here (could be 10 years or more) The food was mediocre at best. I ordered pu pu for two and pork fried rice. The steak teriyaki was just okay but the chicken teriyaki was over cooked and dried out. Egg roll was okay but the shrimp was overcooked and greasy. Chicken fingers were greasy too. The fried rice was undercooked and tasted smoky. I won't be ordering from here for a few more years, if ever. Disappointed for sure! read more

We had a party of 6 last night as we were celebrating a birthday. We asked for tea for all but the one pot the server brought was emptied quickly and not refilled until much later. We asked for sugar. After 20 minutes, I actually got it myself. We ordered a small fried rice and she charged us for a full order. She served a pu pu platter without any plates. She overcharged for one dinner. She brought boxes for everyone except me. I asked for a plastic container with a cover for my soupy chow mein and was provided a paper container. She provided the bill and we had to request fortune cookies. She presented our credit card receipt with no pen or customer copy. We eat here at least once a month and the food is always wonderful as well as last night. The service, however was not. Not sure she liked what she was doing as she never smiled once! read more

We are new this the area and seldomly order out. We had tried here 1x before and it was good. I just ordered here tonight and it was a complete disappointment. I ordered CHICKEN fried rice with szejuian chicken. The rice was very hard/undercooked and the chicken mix was filled with peanuts and barely any chicken. I called them and explained. They said to bring it back so they can show the chef. She tried to insist I must have ordered pork (we do not eat pork at all) and I said 3xs on the phone chicken fried rice. The lady at the front counter opened my new food bag and handled the roll they put with her bare hands. The food is good here but I find some of the dishes are a bit overpriced for the actual amount of food you get. $18 for steak kew and I finished it all in one sitting without feeling stuffed, just somewhat satisfied. For that price, I would expect a bigger portion. And though I usually just get takeout from here, I have dined in before and I was not impressed. Just left this place for the last time. Restaurants are worried about staying open during covid-19, but why bother if you're not going to provide good food or service. The service today was absolutely atrocious. It took a looooong time to get drinks, we ordered a pupu with pork fried rice, seems easy enough, everything is already prepared right? Well it took pretty long. Then we get the food,c with a tiny little cup of duck sauce, which we use in 3.5 seconds on our rice, and we like around for 10 minutes for the waitress so we can get some more, them my kid stands by the front desk trying to get some for way too long and gives up, we go to the bar, bit there's nobody there. By the time he located someone we had been forced to eat chicken fingers and teriyaki with no duck. The pupu was ok, but the rice tastes like it has been sitting out back for 5 days already. We were just ready to get the hell out of there. Last time we make that mistake. We were looking for a pleasant lunch on a Saturday and it was sort of a shit show. Recently, I have to say we ordered about 5 typical items and when I got there to pick up the order, I was hit with a $74.00 +/- bill !!!!!! At home I decided to look up the costs per item. Was I surprised to see what each costs. Order of Chicken Wings, which were rather blah in flavor, cost around $11.25. WHAT..... There chicken wings, not prime rib... Beef and Broccoli was $12.25. Part 4 of the Goffstown area Chinese Review I saved this one for last. I had such low expectations for New Wa Toy - it just looks like such a hole from the outside. After trying China Gourmet, North Garden, and Aloe Garden, and finding fault with all of them, I was running out of faith that I would find a go to option around my new home. I even went back to Jade Dragon and Chen's, and was thinking of trekking back up to Mei's finally and just trade the longer drive for better food, but said to hell with it - let's just make sure New Wa Toy wasn't a hidden gem. I had to wait a while for the food - quite a bit longer than they had advised - but fortunately worth it. As with all recent Chinese attempts, went with the Pu Pu to get a sense of everything. Here goes: Crab Rangoon - 4 of 5 - not quite Mei's, but pretty damn good Chicken Fingers - 4 of 5 - decent size, not soggy Chicken Wings - 5 of 5 - nailed these Beef Teriyaki - 4 of 5 Chicken Teriyaki - 5 of 5 Spareribs - 4 of 5 - first time I've seen these on the bone! Usually this is the slop at the bottom of the box. Unique. Egg Roll - didn't get to them, as I put down too many Rangoon Pu Pu value was outstanding. Prices were very reasonable here. Duck sauce and fried rice were also above average. While I may go back to Aloe Garden to mix it up, I think New Wa Toy is going to be the standard for Chinese now while in Goffstown. read more
