Ordered 12 wings and only got 6 AND they didn't even taste good! Will no longer be eating here. Wish it never replaced LA Crawfish.

The seafood here is really good. The kaboom spice flavor is very good. Give them a try!

Food was amazing and they were very friendly with the service. We just so happened to show up during Happy Hour AND Karaoke Night too! It was a pleasant night with good vibes. They even had $2 dollar beers! All in all, the place is a definite must if you're on that side of town and if not? Travel to it!

Mambo is not what it used to be. Location is convenient off of IH10 East. Parking is a plenty…read more Depending on when you come there could be no wait to why did I agree to wait 90 minutes for a table? So the go to for me is the mambo #1 which consists of 2 fish filets, fried shrimp mambo rice or fries with a roll. It appears they have downsized this dish by a fish filet and while back I was able to get both the rice and fries but now you get only 1. The Coca Cola Freestyle machine is no longer here as well. I did see that crawfish is on the menu and our daughter had a combo of it with shrimp, potatoes, and corn. For $25.00 thought it was a rip off. Unfortunately our waitress didn't listen when I placed my order to come with fries because my plate came out with the rice. I had to get up to mention this because I couldn't get her attention. She also hovered over me at payout with the card machine. Also the temp in the dining room was set to freeze you alive. Overall not a good visit today, will I come back not sure?

The waiter came over and nicely started our order. We received our order in a good time. The fried rice was very dry and not there were some plain white rice in it, so not cooked well.I use to really like Mambo's fried wise but not that night. My niece didn't like the tacos she said they were not tasteful. The waiter never came over to check on us. We waited for a long time for us to get our tickets, he didn't come over to us. I went to the front of the bar and spoke with another waitress to let her know our waiter never came back to give us to-go boxes and give us our tickets. She didn't apologize she just turned around and saw him and starting talking to him in Spanish. He finally came over for us to pay. The service was very disappointing and the food was not what we expected.

It's kind of in industrial and out of the way, but it is definitely worth it. My server agreed to be with a beautiful smile in Texas hospitality. She constantly checked on me to see if everything was fine. The food was amazing. Absolutely nothing wrong with this visit. When I come back to town, I'll definitely stop here again

I have never ever been so disappointed with Monument Inn than I was yesterday and let me tell you…read morewhy. But first the good stuff: our server was fantastic. The Snack Attack appy was good. Friend said his Baked Stuffed Shrimp was good. I had the Mahi Mahi with the Pontchartain sauce. The fish was dry. The sauce was bland and seemed like the recipe was not yet finished. I didn't eat much, asked for a to go bag as I LOVE leftovers, but frankly it was not good enough to take home. The veggies were good but who takes home only the veggies without the main course? We were a party of two and were given one roll though we had two cinnamon rolls which were also good. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini and it arrived less than half full. I have never received a half a glass Lemon Drop martini. I noticed others ordering the Lemon Drop martinis an all had a full martini glass. Since I had only 1/2 of a martini, I ordered another with the request of a full glass martini. The other glass was a little bit more filled than the first one. Really odd and the taste was not worth the effort of ordering. I noticed the Lemon Drop Martini came with a surcharge. Meaning I was billed for the martini and then another misc charge. I have never been charged a surcharge for a Lemon Drop martini. The menu does not say there is a surcharge. Charge what you are going to charge on one line, in total, like everyone else does OR explain yourself and teach the 20 year old server the answer so she is aware and can share with her customers. So I asked for the manager. Cameron huffed on over like he was in a super bad mood and serving up a huge dose of bad attitude unbecoming of a restaurant manager. Cameron came over all loaded for bear and went to the wrong table. . Funniest thing ever and I wish I had that on video. I politely inquired about the surcharge for the Lemon Drop martini and was told "that's the way it's been for 8 years and we are not going to change it for you." Apparently when you order the menu item of a Lemon Drop martini you are charged for a shot PLUS the up charge of placing the shot into a martini glass. None of this is explained on the menu. Perhaps state that when ordered because I don't work for Monument Inn and am not privvy to this special wackadoodle way of charging their customers for a martini listed on the menu. Then to be almost attacked as Cameron was apparently perturbed that a paying customer had the audacity to question about this insane way of pricing. I had enough of his belligerent and argumentative behavior because Cameron was doubling down with his less than stellar attitude. As such, I told Cameron he was about the rudest person I have encountered in this service industry and dismissed him. No customer deserves that kind of treatment. Thank Cameron's inappropriate interaction for the one star which Yelp forces us to give. Otherwise I'd not given a star at all. Cameron's nastiness ruined the entire experience. Well that and the overcooked fish with the lackluster Pontchartain sauce. Stick to their fried food menu items which is where this place shines. Oh and don't order the Lemon Drop martini.

If you're trying to decide if you should eat here, just do it for the shrimp cocktail! LOL…read moreThe shrimp cocktail is the best Mexican style cocktail I have had in the United States. You can't get this anywhere else in the country, trust me. I have lived in Washington state and Tennessee. I have also vacationed or have traveled to every state for work. This shrimp cocktail is by far the most authentic. The sauce is slightly sweet and thinner in consistency than most cocktail sauces , which makes it very light. The flavor of the sauce deliciously blends with the onion, tomato, cilantro and avocado. Once you try this you'll be hooked. They serve it with lime and crackers. However, I don't eat mine with crackers...I eat it on chips because it's lighter and pairs better together, allowing you to experience the flavors and freshness of the cocktail. They also have a tasty Michelada. They make their own mix and I would have to say their mix is my favorite I've had so far. It's very light, not tomatoey (is that a word LOL) and full of flavor. If you ask me what else I've eaten here I would tell you nothing else. So, I can't comment on the other dishes because I love their shrimp cocktail so much..that's all I get! LOL I live in League City and drive to Baytown just for the shrimp cocktail. Can you tell how much I love it? LOL I've even tried to reverse engineer the sauce but, can't get it right. LOL The atmosphere, as you can see by my picture is nothing fancy but the restaurant is always clean. They are typically a little busy during lunch but, never on a wait. The day I came it was about 3 so, it was only me and 2 other tables. I sat in the booth against the wall. They have booths along the walls with tables in the center of the restaurant. Their prices are reasonable as you can see for yourself, I posted their menu. I'm giving them 5 stars for their shrimp cocktail and Michaela.
