I got a hot boba for the first time ever and it doesn't taste so bad. I realized getting a hot drink makes the Tapioca more chewy. I'd recommend the Jasmine Green Tea. Unless you prefer a more sugary drink then get the brown sugar boba. As for the waffle, it should be both crispy and chewy at the same time. But it was overcooked so it was super crispy but not chewy. There's also parking so no need to worry about street parking

Been going here enough now it feels like time for an update. Pros: clean, quick service, easy payment, large menu, lots of seating, easy parking. Cons: staff is not friendly. I didn't see a smile on any one of them at any point and I was there for a couple hours. Details: they've expanded the menu with mochi donuts! It looks like they're bringing them in from another business, and you have to use a separate transaction to pay for them (if you order drinks and donuts they'll ring you up separately). I didn't try them, but the Oreo and coffee ones were gobbled up pretty quickly. They're very visually appealing! They also added new cream flavors for the waffle dips. The tiramisu cheese one was a nice mature option--less sweet and a little salty. We picked this up to dip the coffee mochi donut in. Oreo cream was also really nice with the plain bubble waffle. You still cannot go wrong with the original cream, though. It's delicious and we always have enough leftover for toast or cookies or scooped out and eaten on its own! I feel like the menu is really broken down nicely here in a way I don't always see at boba joints. They explain how to build your drink and give you a lot of customization options, like even how much ice you want. I'd never have thought to do that until I saw it as an option at Happy Lemon.

Great delicious boba however the minus 2 stars are due to the costumer service. Yikes. Like many of the reviews have mentioned the people working here are not nice nor show a welcome attitude at all. The young girls working there on a Sunday seemed to be a little annoyed before taking our orders however at the end when they got our drinks out they called out the wrong number but they finally showed some smiling moment and it did made us feel a little more welcomed.

I am obsessed with their A7 drink which is the milk tea with boba, pudding and lychee. I get it with regular sugar and regular ice and it is just perfect . I love how the three toppings go so well together . The bubble waffle is really light and airy ! Love that they offer some dipping sauce with it but I feel like it's good on its own . Our second favorite drink is the brown sugar with milk. It's a little on the sweet side so I probably would get less sugar next time . But the flavor is there and the boba is soft and chewy .

Good bubble tea place that just opened up, first time trying Happy Lemon. I got the mango jasmine green tea with tapioca. I really liked the tea, both the mango and jasmine green tea flavors came through well. The boba was just standard- could have added more boba! The wait wasn't too long (only 2 orders ahead of us) however the music was pretty loud and I'm not sure if they call your order number so we waited longer not know if our drink was ready or not. Service was just okay, since it's a new location I'm guessing staff are still getting used to the menu offering and cashier system. I'd come back but be prepared to wait especially if there's more than 3-4 people ahead of you!

So Racist people work here, my boy wanted a Boba, we asked for it online, we arrived and they just ignored us, they gave the orders to other people and they only made us less they never listened to us, they just made us feel bad

Bubble waffles and drinks are yummy and consistent. Service is spotty and they are not cheer-y like the competitors in the area. They are pretty quick and efficient to make your drinks though. I always find myself here when visiting the parentals in the hood. Parking here is not bad, sometimes you get crazy Asian drivers that think they own the lot and drive on your side, then look at you weird for not moving out of the way for them, bc of course the world revolves around them, ughhh! I can't stand Asian people, that's bc sometimes I can't stand myself too lol!!

Nice place! I'm lowkey glad it replaced the other boba shop that was here originally as I like Happy Lemon better. The bubble waffle was chewy and really good with the cream dip. Expensive for what you get though, because the waffle is $5.50 and the specific cream I got was $1.25. I don't think the waffle is big enough to justify the price, but guess they can price it that way if people are still buying! The lemon jasmine green tea drink my boyfriend got was at 100% sugar which was quite needed as it was perfect and not too sour that way. Upon drinking you get the lemon flavor and once that disappears, the green tea flavor shines through. Super refreshing drink. No wonder they're called "Happy Lemon"! I got the strawberry shortcake smoothie at light sugar/30% sugar which was good but I think 50% would've been like a dessert drink for sure. I can't imagine that one at 100%. It tasted like melted strawberry ice cream honestly, and the cream they put inside truly makes it like a strawberry shortcake (or at least whipped cream with strawberry ice cream). It was pretty one dimensional in flavor but a cute drink. Next time I think I'd like to try their ube drinks In total, I believe spent about $24 for everything after tax but before tip. In terms of the actual location, it was very busy on New Year's Day with a line that went almost out the door. A new thing I saw was they have this machine that will say the order number loudly through the speakers. My boyfriend said it sounded like the airport which he didn't seem to like for some reason lol. I thought it was a good way to notify customers of their orders but yeah there was a lot of noise in the shop in general. I also wish the tables were a little cleaner but given how busy they were, it was understandable. When ordering, the guy who took my order was very friendly and affirmed every choice we made by saying basically "hell yeah good choice" but in different words every time. It was a little funny to me and I never had anyone do that before. It made me feel pretty good about my choices! LOL

Wow...I rarely ever find a 5 star boba spot. I've had other happy lemon locations, but I was really happy with my order today. I came during their soft opening. Got their fresh grapefruit jasmine green tea with crystal boba, light ice, 50% sugar. It was perfect for me! I don't like super sweet drinks, it was the perfect level, flavor of tea was there, that slight citrus grapefruit flavor was there too, and just the right level of sugar. I decided to try their matcha bubble waffle with their puff cream.....this was the best bubble waffle I've ever had. The bubble part was soft, and the pressed parts were crispy!! I was surprised and very impressed, I never order toppings, but I got their puff cream because the cashier recommended it. I'm happy I got it because it was perfect with the bubble waffle. The puff cream was like a whipped cream with salted butter. The salted whipped butter paired perfectly with the sweet matcha waffle! Anyways it was a great little snack for me, I'm definitely coming back and I'm excited to have this place really close to my home! Also I need to compliment how friendly and helpful the staff were as well. They are doing a SOFT opening. So that means theyre practicing and training up staff, expect waits, and other things. It allows them to officially open with a strong staff and set up! Please be patient, kind, and understanding! I highly recommend it, can't wait to come to their official opening soon!

I had been to the location at South Lake Union this was my first time coming to this new location. Was greeted immediately upon entering. I decided to try the Mango Lemonade with light sugar with boba. So refreshing and tart love this drink would definitely order again. Perfect for the summer weather we've bern having. Staff was friendly and patient as I looked over the menu very engaging. The space is bright and open.

You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Other than that, we got our drinks pretty fast since it wasn't busy near closing, which was when I went.

There was a large selection of caffeine free herbal teas. The teas are all lined up on the counter allowing you to smell the sample jars. I decided on a cup of West Cape Chai and a slice of lemon cake (one of their many pastries). The chai is a nice and polite balance of sweet and spicy flavors. After ordering, I went to the lower level to find seating. It was upon entering this room that I was greeted by a sweet meow from a little cat. Her name is Miu Miu, and this is her house. She promptly followed me to my table and after testing me out, made herself comfortable in my lap. This series of events was so unexpected, yet so welcomed. As for the lower parlour itself - it also serves as a museum, giving history of this landmark. It has an authentic antique charm with comfortable furniture and decor that invites you in. This tea room doesn't try to be anything it's not, and that's what makes it so special. I lost track of the time I spent here enjoying my tea. The barista reminded me twice that I can get more hot water for my tea whenever I was ready, so I did, getting the most out of my loose leaf tea blend. There are only positive things to say. The bathroom was clean and spacious, the interior might surprise you in a good way, the prices were more than reasonable, and it's a place to find peace. As part of the Uwajimaya food court, it's easy to get in and get out or grab a drink for the road, plus there's validated parking. They also have sandwiches, soup, and donuts. I'd stick to just the drinks though. Plenty of other options in the food court. While I thought some drinks were good, I thought the overall experience was average. I ordered on at 5pm on a weekday and noticed the "Happy Hour Specials" so I decided to also snag a sandwich. Well, that advertisement was a lie. Their menu advertises 20% off for the combo of a sandwich and a drink while their digital screen shows 10% off with a soup (without the limited happy hour). In the end, I paid about $20 with tax and tip for a sandwich and a drink so they clearly did not honor the happy hour. It's not much at the end of the day, but false advertisement is a bad user experience. Overall, the service is very mediocre. Menu does not make it evident that sugar and ice levels can be adjusted and the employees cannot be bothered to ask. Same with any milk substitutions. Once you receive the drink, it's evident that sweetness can be adjusted at least, still unsure about the ice. Plus the experience with the combo showed apathy. Turkey Grilled Cheese Sandwich - I had ordered food before but saw the happy hour and went for a sandwich. My other food was ready quickly while this grilled cheese took close to 25 minutes. My drink was ready 10 minutes before so I was just left waiting. It's a solid sandwich with a strong amount of cheese but lacking in the protein. Not worth the price. Uhi Empress Milk Tea w/ Boba - first of all, boba is pretty solid. Flavorful with fair sugar coating and chewy, only lacking a bounce. Uhi is another purple yam like ube but originates from Hawaii. Flavor is very similar, so ube and taro enjoyers will appreciate this drink. Jardin Pink Milk Tea - as one of their signatures, I knew I had to try it. The flavor is a watered down lychee jelly and while lychee jelly as a topping tastes fine, this liquid form just tastes off. Not very sweet as a drink but also lacking flavor. More like water with mashed up lychee jelly without the texture. I would honestly never get this drink again, but the others were good. Banana Breeze Milk Tea - good old fashioned banana milk! If you've ever had the little cartons or banana milk tea from a spot like Boba Guys, this is very similar. Banana is flavorful and sweet but the tea helps prevent a sugar overload, so the drink is balanced.
