    Sesame balls
    Tiffany S.

I've been going here for 15+ years. It's a staple in the community but the customer service leave little to be desired. I went in for sesame balls but they didn't have any so I ordered their Chè Đậu Trắng (Black Eyed Pea Rice Pudding) and she was hesitant because she said it's to hot to put in a container. I noticed other pho like containers and asked nicely if could put it in a thinker container, looking confused she shuffled slowly over to help another customer then got a container, told me $5, I agreed and she filled it up and when I paid with my debit card it ended up being $6.05. Beware ya'll

Local spot for a quick bite. There are premade food for purchase and Vietnamese sandwiches you can order upon entering. A lot of viet traditional food and sweets. The service is good the lady at the register explains what's inside the dishes if you ask. I ordered a sugar cane juice which was a little too sour? Not sure if it was because it wasn't fresh. Overall, decent experience.

    Q. Bakery only $3.25 for 5

I came here 14 years ago and in recent years I have occasionally stopped by to buy a few desserts I won't comment on other dishes, although they are also expensive, but today I will only talk about the unfilled bread that I bought today for $3 not much money but more expensive than other places including Safeway or anywhere else. . I bought a 1 pack of 5 at Q.Bakery for only $3.25 Serving here, the staff just stands around selling things and talking privately, not caring about the customers, they just collect money

This is my first time eating at this establishment and it's A-ok. I tried 2 different kind of rolls -shrimp and the pork (nem nuong). The shrimp one was your typical summer roll - lettuce, basil, rice noodles, shrimp halves (4 of them per roll). I'm glad to say that the shrimp is not black like the previous one I had in Oregon. The lettuce is cut up. The peanut hoisin sauce was more runny than what I usually like it. It made it messy to eat. Also, since the lettuce is all cut it, it kept on spilling out whenever I dip it. Also, my little one likes to eat it in the middle so that gets messy really fast. It's not so much of a complaint as it is an observation. I like the pork one which had different filling. It does not have rice noodles. It has the nem -so garlicky, and a fried egg roll wrap for crunchiness, and lots of lettuce. Maybe next time we will try their banh mi.

Quick and tasty, fast and efficient service. First time there today. Ordered combo (dac biet) banh mi & charsui shrimp salad rolls. Both were satisfying. Will be back.

Great little hole in the wall. Great selection of food other then just banh mi! There's pastries, snacks and other Vietnamese food.

    Taro bubble tea, sans boba
    Randy F.

The sandwiches are solid, but what really bumps this to a 4-star for me is the bubble tea and the baked goods. We've been in three times in the past month taking different people to have the bubble tea and everyone is in agreement it's the best of this style we've had in Seattle. Taro and jackfruit are our favorite flavors so far, but we've yet to have a bad one.

Old eggrolls they refried - dry as burnt toast
    Teresa L.

Wow. I can't believe this place actually refried their OLD eggrolls and sold them! I took a bite and it was incredibly dry. Had to spit it out immediately. Also, when you look at it, you can see how dark it is. I'm disappointed since I was told this place had amazing eggrolls.

    It's the Tammy special.

My cocktail was a pho broth washed shot of Jameson and it came with a pho broth chaser. Hope I got that right but I almost don't wanna drink Jameson any other way now. The parking lot was packed but there's a paid parking lot around corner so no problem. It looked packed but I think a lot of people were at the larger pho Bac sup shop (which is associated w The Boat, but The Boat had plenty of seating at 6:30 on a Sunday night. I think what I appreciated most was the service- we had a person who seated us and answered questions about the menu- my partner has some preferences and shared them with the first server but then the second server came by and already knew what my partner had shared with the first server. That's real dedication. Definitely coming back.

I was left with a pleasant surprise and understanding of the hype of this place, because the chicken was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The place is right next to their sister location, Pho bar, and share a parking space. It is nice and clean on the inside, and like the name the restaurant is shape like a boat! So far I have been here twice and would definitely come back for a warm meal. The staff were helpful and pleasant! It was roughly a 30 minute wait for the food, but that is to be expected considering this is not a fast-food Restaurant (:

It's a bit pricey for the portions, but overall we enjoyed our meal and I really liked trying dishes beyond the typical spring roll/pho/rice place. Here's what we ordered: - Baby clams with rice cracker: Generous portion of clams, paired nicely with the crunchy cracker. - Braised fish pot: Make sure you eat this with rice as it can be a bit on the salty side, but super flavorful. - Tamarind tree soup: A great combination of sweet and sour with lots of veggies. Wish there was more protein. It's located in a bit of a sketchy mall, but it's one of the nicer restaurants located within the mall. The food took a longer than we were expecting, service was a bit more short, but overall it's a nicer sit-down Vietnamese restaurant in the area!

We ended up choosing a place close and were not disappointed at all. This restaurant is located off a busy street but it luckily offers a parking lot which can be hard to come by in Seattle. Because we came on the earlier side, we were seated quite quickly :) The space is pretty large so I don't think I would worry about a wait on a weekday. We were very impressed by the options provided. I usually don't find Bun Bo Hue on the menu often which is what my partner ended up ordering. I ordered the Bun rieu which is even harder to come by. We also ordered the crispy butter garlic wings to share which was a perfect choice. The service was very fast and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly our stuff came out after placing our order. The portions were also HUGE and we both had enough to take home for a second meal. The Bun rieu was super tomatoey and had a rich flavor which the crab. My mom makes Bun rieu at home and I was very much happy with this bowl too, reminded me a lot of how my mom makes it! The Bun Bo Hue was not super spicy but we appreciated being able to customize. The garlic wings were SOOOO good. So crispy and seasoned so well, we would 100% get these again they were so good. We left very full, warm, and satisfied with this pick. We likely will be back in the near future!

The custard duck egg is an excellent starter, with a rich, savory broth that delivers a deep, yolky umami punch. The rau ram oil and herb is such a creative twist that adds the perfect herbal dimension. The radicchio pudding was light and offered a clean, almost grassy brightness without being overwhelming in flavors. Great option for any vegans at the table. The wagyu beef tallow fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. Ultra-crispy, perfectly thick-cut, and deeply flavorful with beef notes shining through, without being too heavy. Like many of the dishes here, perfectly balanced in flavor. The grilled eggplant with whipped tofu and crispy sun chokes was another standout. The tofu whip was so smooth and should be considered a worthy sub for mayo. The eggplant was soft, creamy, and perfectly charred. The garlic rice was incredibly savory and maybe my favorite version of it yet. Packed with the perfect depth of garlicky flavor and seasoning. Finally for dessert - I thought the durian fruit cup was decent, it's great for durian lovers but next time I will be back to try their other desserts. The hollow bread is a must-try. It's fried to perfection, the inside is steamy and the butter it comes with is perfect but the bread alone is so good that it doesn't need it. The perfect touch of roasted sesame. Slightly sweet, it's a delight in textures and perfect in cold weather. The oyster on half shell in happy hour is also a great standard oyster, very fresh, with a nuanced Viet twist in the sauces. Vegetable dip is pretty standard and also delicious, great if you're looking for a healthy starter. Coffee rubbed ribs were fantastic as well and an incredible deal for the size. Very savory, a little sticky sweet, but not too much. Service was also friendly and the food came out in a reasonable time. Easy to eat and flavorful on its own but dipping it with Chinsu added spice and more flavor. Bot Chien had a crisp to it and egg was cooked well. You have to dip it in the fish sauce or else there is no flavor. Just something minor but I wish the pickled veggies were more separated. It had the cut lines but not fully cut so you had to separate it yourself. The com tam was alright. All of the components you would usually get for a broken rice dish. The meatloaf was really good. The pork on the other hand was a bit too salty for my liking. And you only get one thin piece... soup on the side was good and was a good way to cleanse the palette. Overall good modern/fancy spin on Vietnamese food but overpriced. Would probably be nice to go during dinner time for some drinks as the ambience seemed better for night time. Good amount of seating. Street parking around the area was easy to find.
