Inside is pretty spacious with plenty of seating that can fill up fast. There was music in the background but it's not too loud, so it's a nice place to socialize in without yelling over any noise. I forgot to take a picture of my order, which was a taro milk tea with boba and 50% sweetness. Flavors were decent. It wasn't anything too special but it was satisfying. The location also sells egg waffles, and a number of people ordered that and their takoyakis which are available only at this location. As I entered I was surprised that no one was at the reception desk. I figured since LA Fitness is a membership gym they would want to verify if someone has membership when entering but no one was there. Behind the circular desk there were a few other workstations. There was a gentleman at one of these computers who just silently stared at me as I wandered to find Emerald City Smoothie. He didn't move, smile, nothing. His eyes just followed me. Kinda feeling odd by this point I saw the Emerald City Smoothie to the left tucked in. You can't see it when stepping into the space and the one sign is on one wall eye level. But I guess they don't really need to advertise. One young woman was alone cranking out smoothies. She was diligent in her job treating her smoothies like someone on an assembly line. She spoke little and moved fast. There were a few people in front of me and each was served quickly with no commentary. Made me wonder if they should just install a kiosk where customers could put in their orders and she could just make them with no interaction. Parking around the streets touching here and the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is not advisable since it's very limited. There is a paid parking garage near the Hyatt you can use, or you can use the nearby Coulon Park parking lot and walk over here like I did. There's no seating inside here; instead there's tons of treats, merch, tea bags, gummies and other products on tables and shelves filling up the right-hand side of the interior. Up at the front counter to the left-hand side of the entrance are two kiosks you can use to punch in the drinks you want. The menu is also up behind the counter as well. The tiramisu foam ayer was large enough that when I stirred the whole drink in, I could taste the tiramisu's slight coffee-like, earthy hints throughout. The milk tea itself is very strong as I could taste the bitter undertones of the tea easily after just one sip. Also love how they put their drinks in a plastic container shaped like a can! As for their boba, I actually don't mind them being much smaller than many other boba places. They're both small and very chewable, and still look very good sinking to the bottom of the drink in case a photo op is needed. Regular size boba would take up too much space inside the can anyway. Overall drink was a tad too sweet though. This is one of the few places that come to mind for me when someone asks me what boba places there are around the Renton area, as I've gotten great drinks here for every visit since 2021.
