Chicken teriyaki plate

Very good teriyaki, friendly staff, clean, quick service and generous portions at a very fair price.

Chicken Teriyaki

Still my favorite teriyaki spot in Renton. When I'm craving it I'm usually ordering it from here. The taste of their chicken is always fresh. I don't know if it's my ocd self but I appreciate the fact that they cut their chicken in thinner pieces all uniform. Makes it more enjoyable for me to eat. Miso soup comes with the meal too! I feel like a lot of places don't do this anymore? Sauce is bomb, salad + dressing is also. The last several times I've ordered California rolls with my meals they were disappointing. The rolls were barely together and the ratio from rice to imitation crab were off. I think service is normal. I've only dined in a few times and always order to go. Inside looks like every other mom and pop teriyaki shop which I like. A good teriyaki place to try if you're in the area!

Rarely do I ever get teriyaki but I didn't want to cook and it's so close to a grocery store. Came in for a quick to-go order and got 3 chicken bento boxes. They are so fast that when I went to the store to get some groceries (10 minutes), the food was already packed. The reason why I rarely go to teriyaki places is that it's too charred for me and the sauce is way too sweet. They have a good variety though if you're not interested in teriyaki - stir fry, noodles, Chinese dishes, etc. the portions are plentiful and enough for the next day as well. The place seems clean and lots of take out while I was ordering.

$17.99 for a Spider Roll that is burnt, 4 pieces that should be at least 6, no crab ends which is a major part of a spider roll. Absolutely terrible.

Nope. Tempura prawns with their poop shoot still intact are disguising. I won't go full Karen and drive back and ask for a refund but this is definitely going straight into the garbage.

I can't tell you how many times Nori Presto has save me on days that I'm not able to run to the store and prepare dinner due to late night work. We usually order a large kalbi, which comes with a side of salad and the large bento with chicken teriyaki and California rolls, it also comes with fried gyoza and side salad. The portions is really generous for what you're paying for. The staff here is really nice and kind, never disappoint. Pretty consistent, I will definitely come here and support this establishment and so should you, go check it out.

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki

We got spicy chicken teriyaki and shrimp yakisoba today and they were inedible. The chicken and shrimp were very overcooked and hard to swallow. The service was unfriendly and very pushy with tipping the chef before even getting the food. We ended up switching from dine in to take out.

Takeout order of tempura veggies with some add on tempura shrimp. it was sooo crunchy without being super heavy on the oil.

Ordered takeout from here recently and was soooo happy with it. The udon had some veggies and tofu bits in it that went so well with the soft and savory broth. The tempura shrimp that came with the udon and my side order of tempura veggies were so crisp and not heavy on the oil or breading. The beef short ribs and beef teriyaki did have a bit more sauce than desired but the cook was perfect and the flavors were great.

This is teriyaki sauce "on the side".

We like to try places in the Renton area because it's the halfway point between our homes. This week we went to Mori Sushi in the Renton Landing. Immediately upon walking in I felt the interior to be very comfortable, welcoming and tasteful. Our server was terrific. Very helpful since my friend isn't so familiar with sushi. He ordered a specialty roll, a Hot Dream, which he really enjoyed. I was concerned that there would not be enough food for him but it was the perfect amount. I had the Chirashi bowl--high quality ingredients. We both agreed that this is a restaurant we would return to and that is my highest rating!

Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

It's also a very, very tiny place, with a narrow 4 person counter behind the line, and only 2 tables inside. They had placed some tables outside as well for patrons. I love menus that allow me to order varied items but also basic items like sashimi, and this place had both. They make a lot of different hand rolls that are packaged individually, as well as what's called a sushi donut (sashimi layered over donut shaped rice ball. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend
