I was shopping with a friend in U Village, and we needed a cold drink. I got Mango Lemonade, my friend got the new Fresh Squeezed Lemon Tea. The Mango Lemonade was good, I went with 50% sweetness that was right for me. My friend said the flavor of her tea was very mild.

Most expensive Boba at 9$ Got the Taro milk tea with boba n lychee jelly at regular sweetness. Regular sweet is very sweet so go with 70% option. Usual boba tea places come to around $6 with boba but any topping is extra. At base you just get Taro milk tea which is crazy!

Happy Lemon is kind of expensive, but I think their drinks are really delicious. I usually get A11 which is the Ube fresh milk with taro Boba and this time, I tried 50% sugar and 50% ice. I honestly think that you can go with full sugar because it was very "not sweet" but it was still good to get the full flavor of both taro and Ube from the cream. I really like the fresh taro balls which are softer than regular Boba. It was super chewy and this is the only drink I get here! Ordering was really quick and we got our drink within two minutes since it was pretty empty. It also smells heavenly in store because of all the bubble waffles.

Happy Lemon has solid milk tea options - plus Bubble waffles! Cute branding and storefront at u village. Ordering was easy and staff were really cranking out everyone's orders. We didn't have to wait too long even though it was fairly busy. With their beverages, you can customize ice and sweetness levels which is much appreciated. I got the classic milk tea with boba at 30% sweetness and was happy with it. The chocolate bubble waffle was good too. Worth a stop if you're in the area and need a treat!

Disclaimer: I only came to try the wheel cake It wasn't good. The shell pieces were cold despite me actively waiting, and the pastry wasn't sealed together at all-- the moment you bite into it the filling came out the other side. A huge disappointment. (Not rating it the one star it is because I doubt most people come for this.)

The service was friendly and fast, and the drinks were super good and tasty. Highly recommended in this summer. Stay hydrated :)

I'm pretty familiar with this bubble tea spot back from NYC, so this takes me back! This one seems to be in a really busy location but the line moves fast. It was the first time seeing an Ube Bubble Tea for me, so I knew I had to try it. We ordered 50% ice and 50% sugar but it was still just a tad too sweet for us personally - but the Ube flavor was pretty decent and it was a unique option overall. I really like that they have many varieties of flavor to choose from..there's something for everyone! I was also not aware that they had Bubble Waffles! Now, I would come back for just for those waffles because they were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the right amount of sweetness. For your convenience, it comes in an adorable paper pouch - perfect for munching on the go!

I loved the Ube milk tea with Taro ball! The taro ball was like moch; soft and chewy. I liked that the taro ball was unique and softer than other boba. We went about half an hour before the closing time, so it wasn't too crowded. The chairs were already collapsed for the closure time, so we felt the pressure to leave soon. But we understood. Overall, a good experience!

Ordered Togo boba today while I was on call and have to say that the milk tea with boba, pudding and lychee jelly that I got was really good! The sweetness was just right and the boba was very chewy and soft! Definitely would recommend this place if you are craving boba!

I ordered the roasted Hokkaido milk tea hot and it was great. I would definitely stop by next time I'm shopping at uvill again.

We visit this spot almost religiously whenever we're in UVillage. We get something a little different every time, but always a drink and a bubble waffle. Fun fact -- you can split the flavors on the waffles to be half and half if you're indecisive or sharing. Honestly, one drink per person is a whole lot and splitting them between two people feels a little more manageable. Great service and we run into familiar student faces working occasionally!

This is a review for one of the desserts and not for the drinks. I was drawn in by the ad for the wheel cake. When I got it, it didn't look like the photo and it certainly did not taste good. The exterior tasted gummy and flavorless and the cream was nothing special. I would not recommend that item unfortunately. The workers were nice and it came out fairly quick.

Personally found the bubble milk tea a little to sweet but was surprised by how good the matcha egg waffle was. While skeptical at first, the matcha flavor goes really well with the egg waffle and I'll definitely have it again! Staff were very friendly & our drinks were ready in no time. Also love the posters & deco in the shop - very bright and cute!

Everything was so good here, chicken juicy, mac to the catfish... delicious, this place makes you feel like home, service fantastic, these plates makes you full before you walk out that door, coming in they got some very cool photos and decoration, feeling like the 90s. The restaurant is very clean, was greeted by two servers working, friendly atmosphere, noise level was average and it's a smaller establishment, please keep that in mind. We ordered the french fries which are shoestring fries, side of catfish, a side of red beans and rice, and a side plate of fried green tomatoes, which comes with four bite-size pieces. Being from the south born and raised, I'm a particular about my catfish and even though the breading had flavor, the catfish to me did not taste very clean plus there was a hair stuck to the breading of the catfish. It wasn't a small hair. The mystery hair either fell in the oil or it was in the batter is my guess. Because when I went to break the catfish apart, that is when it sprung the rest of it out, there was a small curl tip sticking out of the top of the fish. Unfortunately, the green tomatoes had absolutely no flavor. I will say the red beans and rice had the most flavor. I could taste the seasoning and the spice with a little bit of heat. I also really appreciate that there was some veggies mixed in with some meat as well. The shoestring fries it's either a hit for some or a miss and for me it was a miss, but I've had lots of different kinds of shoestring fries from multiple locations, and different states. It's a hard one to make. They were fried crispy and excellent. I would say it's more of the seasoning that was a dislike. The decor throughout the restaurant was beautiful to view. There are photos of the owners their family and friends. Not only could I see the love and commitment put into this restaurant, but also I could feel it as soon as I walked in. My takeaway is for the cooks to wear hairnets and if they have beards, to also put nets on their beards to further prevent hairs falling into people's food. Fried green tomatoes are not an item that can be found at most restaurants. It's easy to make but definitely the seasoning on it could be improved. Also, possibly just going simple with the seasoning like salt and a little pepper on the shoestring fries, sometimes keeping it simple is the best. A topic I want to touch on, not because I got it, but because going through the reviews prior to coming not too many people were discussing the waffles and this was a direct witness of what I could see. I did not taste it so I can't describe how the waffles tasted, but they look like they were cooked golden brown, which was nice but they are I would say more on the thinner side than what I usually see at places that serve chicken and waffles. If you are reading this review and you are looking for a place that serves you a nice thick waffle please do not come here because you will be disappointed, and I do not want people being disappointed when they are looking for something in particular and they end up ordering something that they did not want. Besides my recommendations, as I mentioned, this is a place that is full of love and commitment and I appreciate the community that has supported this establishment. It is not easy keeping a restaurant open and it's even harder these days being a person of color to even have your own establishment. As always, my friends be safe out there. Thank you for reading this review and I'll see you at my next bite *=*

We were able to walk in with a big group on a Friday during the day without a reservation and there was plenty of seating. The inside of the cafe is super cozy, colorful, and with plenty of natural light. They have coffee and other hot/iced drinks such as matcha and teas. Their food speciality is their waffles but they have other items on the menu if waffles are not your vibe. The dishes have a little Korean flavor twist which I thought was genius and worked well. I tried a matcha latte which was rich, and not sweet at all (which is my preference). I also ordered a breakfast salad which was divine! It came with a runny fried egg, some delicious mushrooms, and a very umami and soft tempeh. I'm not a fan of tempeh but they really made me love it here and wish I had their recipe!! I added some avocado for extra creaminess and smoked salmon which was of very high quality. It was definitely the perfect meal. My husband tried the savory waffle which he also really enjoyed. Would definitely come back here for brunch if I were in the area. Inventive and delicious food, filling portions, excellent service, and very lowkey!
