My young children purchased a gift card for me at the beginning of April for my birthday, and just a few weeks later, the business was sold with no notice to customers. When I tried to use the gift cards, I was told they would not be honored, with no exceptions and no grace period. While I understand that ownership changes happen, it's incredibly frustrating that a business could purchase an existing business, and would refuse to stand behind purchases made just weeks prior. There was no communication, no transition period, and no effort to make things right for customers who supported the business in good faith. The new owners stated that the other Milano locations would honor the gift cards - that is not true. All are independently owned. At a minimum, a short grace period would have shown respect for loyal and LOCAL customers. Instead, this experience left me feeling taken advantage of and unlikely to return.

I've never been to a nail salon that cuts so many corners when it comes to dip powder services. Proper dip application requires removing the old dip each visit, yet I was repeatedly told that if I chose a dark color, I would need a completely new set the next time. That simply doesn't align with standard dip nail practices. I was also surprised to be charged extra just to trim my nails -- something many salons include as part of basic service. Over time, the focus here seemed to be more about speed than quality. What truly ended it for me was my most recent visit. The technician did a very poor job on my nails, and instead of correcting the dip properly, the manager placed shellac polish on top of the dip powder as a quick fix. The polish began peeling the very same day. I walked out extremely disappointed and will not return. Luxe Nails -- quality, integrity, and professionalism matter far more than speed or cutting corners. Customers deserve better. Tu really disappointed me and management doesn't take concerns seriously.

I've been coming to this establishment since they first opened over 3 years ago. I had a previous…read morerun-in w/ the manager Ken after he intentionally kicked my shoes to the side during a pedicure session. I called him out, but he tried to act oblivious so Vee apologized on his behalf. Reluctantly, I allowed her to convince me to keep coming. Today, I waited an hour for an appointment made yesterday. About 30 minutes into my session the tech informed me of a "new fee" for buffing. I asked for Vee and explained that I shouldn't be assessed this "buff fee" since I wasn't informed when she scheduled my appointment for the exact same service I've always gotten; in addition to the extended hour-long wait. She indicated she would speak to Ken, but when I approached the register he wasn't willing to wave the additional fee. When I reiterated the fact that I waited over an hour for my appointment he suggested that I was exaggerating until another customer spoke up on my behalf. Afterwards, he only offered to wave half of the extra "buff fee." While ringing up the other customer they tried charging her an extra fee for using her credit card; something they've done from the beginning, which is why I pay cash. She stood her ground and stressed that it's illegal to add a fee simply to offset the charges they're assessed by the credit card companies. Ken's blatant arrogance is easily remedied since I'll no longer frequent this establishment... But brazenly charging customers more for using credit/debit cards by calling the *cash price* a "discount" is criminal behavior that should be investigated.

Tuscan Villa has become my go to nail salon since moving back to the west side of town. I had…read morebrowsed salons on Yelp before deciding to try Tuscan Villa. Once again, Yelp did not steer me wrong. They prefer for customers to make an appointment, however they will take walk-ins. The first time I visited, I walked in and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes (probably because it was at lunch time on a Friday). I've scheduled appointments on their website as well as on the phone. The site is pretty straight forward to use and it will send you a reminder of your appointment. I usually get pedicures, but I have done a basic manicure as well. Tina is my preferred nail tech. She's very sweet and gentle. She hasn't cut or knicked my cuticles. I personally prefer a more quiet experience when I'm getting my nails done and Tina keeps the talking to a minimum. She always offers me a beverage too which is nice. They have a decent sized waiting area with adequate seating. The waiting area has never been crowded when I've visited. They also have a full bar. Sometimes, the staff will offer snacks like nuts, cookies, or crackers. One time they even had Jello shots lol. The staff is always so friendly and professional. This is probably one of the best nail salons that I've been to in Pearland.

The service itself was going to cost $75, and I already spent $24 on transportation to get here. When I arrived, I was told that the nail technicians had already left because no customers were there. I find this very unprofessional. If the business is open until 7:00 PM, I would expect at least one or two technicians to remain available during posted business hours, or the business should indicate that it is no longer accepting customers. The open sign was still on, which made it appear that services were still available. To make matters worse, I now have to pay for another Uber to travel to a different nail salon, adding even more unexpected expense and inconvenience. As a business owner myself, and someone with a background in management, I believe business hours should be honored and customers should be able to rely on the hours that are posted. I wanted to share my experience so others are aware. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning
