0/5. If I could give 0 stars I would. Would not recommend. This place does terrible work. The owner she/he (unsure of their gender) is EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE!!!! Avoid at all cost!!! I got a pedicure with gel polish. Paid $60 for the whole thing. Asked for them to fix the polish on my nails and they started, then decided they would just refund me. I agreed and said ok, that works. The owner started getting angry so I started recording for my safety. She/him called her merchant to refund $20 of my payment for the gel polish. I'm assuming the bank said they couldn't do it so the owner became belligerent- yelling, cussing, getting in my face and being aggressive with me. I recorded the interaction and she/him. She/him then called the police and said I didn't pay for my service. I paid with card and could prove that I paid so I'm not sure how he/she thought that would play out lying the way he/she did. The manager/whoever was yelling at me- then said I'm poor and low class and that he would beat my ass if he/she ever caught me outside of the salon. The pictures of their work is posted so yall can see how poorly my toes were done originally for them to verbally assault me the way he did. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! There's a reason why this salon is empty. read more

ok nails. Wayyyy to expensive $20 for gel hands and nails a piece. Then charge a connivence fee for using your card. Did a manicure, no oil or lotion. Lady sitting in front not polite at all. Nail techs very nice. Mostly likely will not be returning and drinks water down. For almost $200 I should be DRUNK!!!! 2stars only for the nail techs!! read more

This is my go-to nail spot for the Mesquite-Balch Springs area. I tried a few different nail salons nearby and none compare to Happy Nails & Spa. There's great space so it doesn't feel crowded. Everyone is so friendly and does excellent work. I recommend an appointment or coming in much before closing time. After reading positive reviews I came to this salon to get my nails done. Everything was going good until I noticed my nails were crooked as the lady was filing them down, so I told her "hey this ones crooked" she rolled her eyes, grabbed my thumb and started filing down the sides and not the actual problem. At that point I was like fuck it I gotta be somewhere soon and don't want to delay by starting over ... she seemed to be in a rush anyways, not even checking the nails to be sure they're turning out ok... I'll add that by the time I needed to wash my hands my infant daughter got impatient and wanted out of her car seat so I held her in my lap as the lady did the final gel coat. When it was time to pay another lady who checked me out asked if I liked the nails. I said they were ok. The color was nice, and the quality felt good. The only thing was most of the nails were crooked. I mentiONed that I told the artist about one of them and she didn't even try to actually fix it. And when questioned about it, she had an attitude and blamed MY BABY for the problem when she was in her carrier during the filing process!!! Thenn she rushed out to her car and left. The lady checked who checked me out gave me a $5 coupon for the next visit, but honestly I don't want to come home and deal with filing my own nails again when I'm sure there's a salon who will do a good job while I'm there. This was my first nail set and I'm pretty disappointed that I i had to pay $35 for a "half-ass'ed" job. If I go back I'm definitely going to ask for another tech smh read more

Multiple problems with my pedicure. First of all, the young man was very nice and nice to talk to. He said he was helping out since they had been so busy. In hindsight, I wish I had asked if he was even licensed. This was my first (and only) visit. My chair was never turned on for me. I guess I should have asked about it. A piece of skin was buffed off of my foot because he was buffing so hard. My foot was bleeding. The cut edge of my big toe nail was not painted on my right foot. Fortunately I had brought my own polish, so I could fix it at home. Finally my pedicure selection was supposed to include paraffin. I did not get it, but was so flustered by by gouged foot, I was just ready to be gone read more

First timer here. Picked this place because of the reviews posted Gave it three stars because they took me quickly as a walk-in. My male manicurist gave a good foot/leg massage but don't think he has a beauty license. He didn't use the implements correctly. Of course my nail smudged after leaving when he told me they were dry. Prices weren't posted and didn't see any licenses posted. Health Department needs to spot check this place. I won't be a repeat customer. read more

Noah was so funny and made my experience comfortable and full of laughs with my friend. I liked this place when I first started going. I would get the very basic pedicures which were $25 and they have a reward program but last time I was there after the pandemic the place was much more crowded and they told me I couldn't get the $25 pedi anymore because they said that was for "babies" I guess they meant kids. This made me a little angry but I didn't say anything. So I chose the $28 pedi. Then the guy started cutting my cuticles, something no one ever had done because I don't have them that bad. (That's why I always get the simple pedi) anyway it hurt like hell and he did acknowledge that he had cut way too much. He kept redoing my nail polish because he kept messing up. I sat down around 5:15 pm and did not get out until 6:40 pm. The longest pedicure ever. My nails don't even look straight. Everyone was really friendly and they have complementary drinks but the pedi I got was not worth $28. Plus I got a cut on the back of my foot. read more

Excellent!! I was at driving around when I found this hidden gem!! The staff so sweet and nice. Refreshments were offered. Nail tech are above par. I am a difficult client that bites their own nails (I know I'm the worst) but they make my fingers look amazing!! Horrible job on nails. My daughter got her full set of powder plus designs. The nails were lumpy and the designs were not only horrible but started coming off in the shower. We returned to have them redone and they said it would be $10 to redo the design and they wouldn't redo the powder nails. We had them change the design to an ombre and all they did was paint red over black. I would not recomend this place at all. They were also very argumentative and blamed my daughter because she picked multiple colors on why it wasn't good. How unprofessional to not take responsibility for not doing a good job and blaming a child. read more

I went in trying to find a new salon to go to. After reading mixed reviews I decided to give it a shot. It was pretty busy for a Saturday morning so I thought I made a good choice. Very wrong. I asked for dip and was given limited choices. I've gotten dip enough to know that the nail should be dipped into the powder and not used with a brush like regular acrylic. I asked for almond shape and the shape ended up different on every nail. The nail tech kept going back and forth between me and another customer with preference being shown to regular customers. It's probably why the top coat wasn't applied evenly, nails weren't shaped or buffed properly, I wasn't able to wash my hands at any point to get any residue off, no cuticle oil, and the nails are lifting after only a week of having them done. They also overcharge for the quality of work they do. I've paid less and have been treated and gotten better work done where I previously lived. There's plenty of other shops in the area to choose from and spend your money. The nails in the picture look okay but they're pretty bad up close. read more

The very first time that I visited this place I sat there for 3 hours while a "new" nail tech did my nails very messy, crooked and bumpy. I Let Tiffany know , the more experienced nail tech and she offered to fix them which require another 2 hours of my time . But I really need them fixed for a huge event I has the next day . For Tiffany's sake I decided to give them another try went back and was very unimpressed again . Bumpy. Crooked.
