More like UNHAPPY nails tbh lol. $42 for rushed service, uneven gel application, and them telling us we called for one color change instead of 2 (we followed up with another call asking to add a third person for an acrylic fix and when we got there they claimed we just called for a single color change). They were busy and I get it, but that's no excuse for these horrid nails. Pictures don't do justice to how horrible these nails are. Left a tip because there was a really sweet younger girl there that cared. My bf's mother and his sister also felt the artists were very rude and rushing everything. I'd rather buy the materials and do it myself than have to experience this kinda service for such poor results. Mind you I am young and understanding that if they're busy I'll have to wait and I don't mind that whatsoever, but once it gets to my turn I'd prefer my nail artist listen to my concerns and give me the respect of taking a little longer to make my nails not look like this. read more

Stay away. I called to ask about pricing and they initially said it was going to be $40 for both mani and pedi but when they finished doing my nails they charged me $73. I asked why and she said because I requested for shellac. Three people did my nails, two of which rushed and did not care if they were hurting me or not. My shellac manicure only lasted two days before they started to chip away. The worst part of all is that I showed them a picture of how I wanted my nails to look but it came out nothing alike. On vacation with my family in Maui (I'm dad). My wife and 3 daughters wanted to get their nails and/or toes done. They got me to tag along for a pedicure. This place took the 5 of us as walk-ins. Everybody was extremely pleasant, and the services were awesome. We got three mani-pedis, acrylic nails, and gel nails. Everybody at Happy was stellar and it waa definitely a 5-star experience. Meh. My lady hardly spoke any english so communication with the type of service that I wanted was even difficult. I had two people work on my gel manicure and I couldn't tell if it was because the A team was being called in or if she was using me as a teaching moment. He was very sweet but I don't think he spoke much English either. They don't have the sealed and sanitized packs of tools, they use their tools and then throw them in what looks like a toaster oven -- so that bothered me. Overall the manicure is ok, there's some bubbling and I had to dig out some polish from underneath the nail that they didn't cleanup. read more

Came in for a gel mani. We made an appointment the day before for 445pm. We arrived 10 minutes early and they took us immediately. Everything about it was fine. My nail tech was good. My nails came out uneven lengths, but I was desperate for a mani and had to leave after so I didn't have to to fix it once I realized. My wife's mani tech cut her a bit and rushed her in and out of the chair. She was done with her mani (no color) in about 15 minutes. I wouldn't highly recommend this place but it is MUCH cheaper than the hotel spas and I did appreciate them being timely with our appointment. read more

Cracked a nail on my vacation and decided to stop in real quick to get it fixed. How long could it possibly take to fix ONE nail?! They told me to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to help me...ok, no prob. 20 minutes later they sat me in a chair, a guy came over and cut the nail off and had me soak my nail in acetone for about 20 more minutes before a lady came over and filed the gel polish off and then had me set my nail back in the acetone for another 15 before I asked how much longer, I was already there an hour and my kids were waiting for me outside. Then another lady came and proceeded to yank off the rest of the acrylic, glued a tip and then shaped the new acrylic. Have they ever done nails here? I can do a better job and I'm not licensed...are they?! My nail is bumpy and not the same shape as the rest. The price listed for a nail repair is $5...that's fair. I went to pay with a $10. She gave me back $2. I asked her why and she said because I got gel polish on one nail, but told me I didn't have to tip her. Wtf?!! Gee thanks!! I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET YOUR NAILS DONE!!! They are whack here!!! And the salon is filthy and they use tools that haven't been disinfected. NO THANKS!! read more

ALOHA! After a long day I was ready to relax with a pedi. It was right across the street from the resort, I should have done research before going there, but oh well. The Price for a basic pedicure is $29 plus tax or whatever came up to $31. The basic pedicure came with soaking feet, clipping nails, sugar scrub on the calves, a 10 min leg and foot massage, hot towel. I thought it was worth it since its in Hawaii and I am on vacay, but I should done some research before going into a nail salon since I was on a budget. The lady was nice and did a good job. They took care of the in grown nail, which was starting to ache. Walked out with a brand new pair of feet so Mahalo! Have a yelptastic day! read more

I came here in dire need of a pedicure with my sister. The ladies (staff) were very friendly and knew what they were doing. They honestly told us the wait would be about 25 minutes, which felt like no time at all in the glorious massage chairs. I stupidly forgot that the now crappy remaining polish on my toes was a gel polish, but my nail technician noticed and spent an extra amount of time sanding the old stuff away. The manicure was nothing to write home about, but she at least did a much better job than I could do! We chatted about how long she'd lived in Maui, and she even gave us a bunch of recommended places to visit. She was very sweet and funny. Great experience for a great price! P.S. The number of racist comments I've read in reviews of nail salons in Maui is frankly, shocking. If you're going to be bothered by the manicurists "constant chatter... in non-English language" you probably shouldn't be going to a nail salon. If you bothered to treat them like human beings and have an actual conversation with them, you might find out they were speaking Vietnamese. read more

Getting a mani/pedi should be a enjoyable experience that doesn't leave you feeling annoyed. Well we know where this is going I just used enjoy and annoyed in the same sentence. After a long and annoying flight on United and not being able to check into our hotel that was supposed to be ready I thought it would be nice to get a mani/pedi since I didn't get one before leaving home. It was great to be able to drop in and get a appointment right away. It was great that all the ladies were nice and talkative and even offered me and my lady friend some bottled water. Great start right? When sit down to the massaging chair and the foot bath with massaging water; I had a tub full of cold water. I asked for more water twice and announced that the water is cold. I got a ok. I said it again and one of the other lady patrons said "hey his water is cold" so I just ended up being the only forgotten man in the shop after all the what color you want jokes. I got a cold foot scrub that was barely a scrub and a extra poor cuticle treatment that I should have just done myself. So you can see why I'm pretty annoyed. The mani didn't get any better and I had to change seats to get my mani. I was just unhappy all the way through. The girls were nice and was happy to talk to me and ask me about my lady friend and a few not so appropiate questions but it thats cool because it distracted from the bad service experience. read more

I take a yearly trip to Maui and. frequented the nail salon last year with good results. This year I expected the same and was disappointed with the service. I requested a gel manicure for $35.00 During the process my nail cuticles were cut too deep and bleeding occurred. She continued with service without any acknowledgement/towel etc. My nails were susequently painted and of course the machine was used. she did not set a timer and the machine became quite hot. I would try and take my hand out of the machine telling her that it was too hot to no avail. At last the nails were completed with surprisingly no burn insight. She put lotion on one hand (no massage) and said she was done. I guess the other arm would have been an extra charge. The cost was $43.00 which in my opinion a huge overcharge for the services that are provided. Needless to say I won't be coming back. The over heated machine was enough to keep me away for a lifetime. read more

This was the closest nail salon to our condo, so when I munched my toe riding the scooter, I came here to get it fixed. I had gelish polish done at home, which probably saved my nail from getting torn off on the road and was stoked to see that they offered it here too. For those of you unfamiliar with gelish, it is a gel polish that needs to cure under the UV lights after each coat. There were no clients when I came in, so the gal started on me right away. She fixed my big toe and touched up another and did not want to charge me at all! I was not going to walk away without giving her any money, so I just gave her $10 and left a happy girl! Went here last year and was pleased, returned this year and was disappointed. It is relatively clean and easy to get in (no apt). 2 stars because I like the gelish shellac they did, and I like how hey removed my old one with acetone soaked cotton wrapped on each nail with tin foil-- this kept my fingers from drying out. Cons- mani/pedi combo is 40, but separately mani is 18 and pedi is 29. Gelish is 35, so I assumed pedi would be $22 or at least less than $29 since I was still doing a combo. not the case. Male mani/pedis are extra, which is absurd. We asked them why this was, and they said the massage for men was stronger... Not true and lame excuse since most men don't get polish. I've never heard of salons charging sales tax but this one did . Maybe Hawaii is different? Pedicure was pretty crappy and polish job sucked. Chipped within a few days, and I was hardly I the water. Looking for another option. Saving $20 bucks is defeated who the pedi only lasts 4 days (normally my $23 pedi lasts a month and even then it's just because my nails grow). read more

My daughter was extremely excited to be able to pick Dolphins for her nails and turtle for her toes as opposed to the typical flower designs (which I opted for). I ruined my pedicure on the first day of my trip, so wanted to go get one while I was here. Should have just bought some nail polish and did it myself. I paid $40 for the deluxe pedicure. I don't know what was deluxe about it! The lady that did my pedi was really nice but that was the only nice part. She did a horrible pedicure. She kept cutting my cuticles SO close -- one of my toes even started bleeding. NO GOOD. The foot rub was a joke. My 13 month old could have given me a better foot rub ;) Seriously though, it was a waste. The put your feet in bags with paraffin wax in them at the end which I was looking forward to. WORST PART!!!!!!! She literally burned my feet. HORRIBLE. I kept saying, "Ouch, that's really hot" and she just kept putting it up over my feet. This wasn't the kind of "ouch, that's hot" like when you get in a hottub. It literally burned my feet. I wanted to complain, but they didn't speak good enough english to warrant trying. read more
