This place is terrible. First i had my appointment at 3:00 pm when i arrived i was waiting a few min. After which a lady greeted us and said we need to wash our hands. After washing out hands we were basically standing around until they figured out what to do wit us even tho we had an appointment. After this I myself proceeded to get my toes done( I am a man) the woman start cutting my toenails, she literally taking chunks from the side. They have no clue what they are doing and the owner is a complete clueless piece of ****. All she can do is apologize, and ask my not to swear. I had told her let me cut a chunk of ur nail on ur toe and then tell me in words how u feel? Check out the pics if u don't believe me. I like this place but today I had a no chip and a pedi. The girl did it in 20 minutes... both the pedicure and manicure! She spent very little time on my feet. The worst part was the dirty ass no chip light box thing! They have you wash your hands 2x but then I have to put my hands in a filthy box! The top of it was dirty too. And, the plastic COVID dividers are also gross!! Dusty with specs of polish and other unidentifiable spots. Everywhere I looked there was dirt. Just clean the place up!! read more

My partner and I have been looking for a new place to get our nails done. I went searching one day and found Happy Nails, The staff did not speak their native language, but instead, spoke english almost the whole time. Right there it got me to feel good because I always feel like the staff is commenting on the customers when all they speak with a foreign language. It seems like a small thing, but it's huge. For the nails, $85 for no-chip manicure and a basic pedicure. Great price. Sara took her time. She noticed spots that needed to be fixed that I didn't even notice. It took 1 1/2 hours and was worth every minute. The owners took the time to converse with me and ask me how I got there and where I was living. It was amazing. They want me to come back and get Pride Nails done......and I am. This is our new place. read more

I was so excited to try out Happy Nails new location. The remodel is beautiful and I live right down the block, so it would've been a perfect new spot for me to get my dip. Unfortunately, this was the worst dip I've ever received. I'm not sure if my nail tech was skilled enough in the dip as it took 3 "redos" for my nails to even dry. Every single one of my nails have little cracks in them, almost looks like a shattered glass look. I've gotten the dip for many years and never encountered this. I researched this reaction, and found that my dip was applied incorrectly, causing it to crack just 2 days after application. Also, my cuticles were not cleaned up after the application, which is always done. I cannot speak on other services, but if you're looking for a great dip STAY AWAY from happy nails. June and Becca have been able to grow their business over the years because of their consistent work, loyalty to their customers, and loyalty to their staff who has been with them forever (that really says so much). They have a HUGE selection of nail polish, and very talented technicians who can do anything you need. They are very accommodating to walk ins although I usually try to call and make an appointment. *UPDATE* due to response. You never disclosed pricing to me, and it was AFTER you told me I had to pay full price that I said I wouldn't be back. Prior to the phone call, I said "I don't expect anything for free, your tech said I need a new set to fix the job that your prior tech did, I'm shocked that I'm being charged full price". Keep in mind, I had spent nearly $200 in two weeks there! I even said "I plan to be here every two weeks to get fills". If you have cameras, watch the interaction back. Maybe I should add the photos of my previous set, so everyone can see? Then they come up with every google search! Let them judge the quality! I didn't, because I'm not petty, but now I'm really tempted. I hurt your feelings? What...? You did a poor job, I paid a lot of money for it, and didn't ask for anything for free. I asked for a discount for you to fix a poor job, a poor job that your tech even admitted was terrible and that I needed a new set. To be honest, fixing bad work should be free. Good lord! You refused to offer ANY solution or accommodation, and I said "if you're going to do nothing about this, I won't be back". The receptionist smiled at me and said "have a nice day". How are YOUR feelings hurt? I've never tried so hard to actually stay a customer somewhere!* It makes me so sad to write this, because I wanted to love this place, as it's 1 block from my house. I first visited 2 weeks ago for an acrylic full set, and my technician seemed like she was relatively new. When my set was done, my nails were curved upwards, to the point it was extremely noticeable. I figured I'd get them fixed next time, and wasn't in the mood to cause a stir. I mentioned it at the end, and she just sort of laughed. Not sure what to do with that...so I left. It was $50 + tip (i always tip!) for the full set. I went back yesterday to get them filled and fixed, and had a new tech. The new tech looked at my nails and laughed, then said "ohhh these are bad, they point straight up. Where did you get these done?" I said "here...". She looked over at my tech from last time and said "was it her?" and I said "yeah". She rolled her eyes and said "yeah, I know." Clearly, I'm not the first to have nails that look like a black diamond ski slope. I asked her if she could fix them, and she said "I can try, but you probably need a new set. These are so bad" She filled them, but even after, they were still bad. She said "yeah, next time just do a new set. I can't fix them" I paid $40 + tip for the fill and left. I called today and told them the issue, and asked if I could come in and get a new set, because the last one was so bad and that their own tech said I needed a new set. They got me right in, and I figured we were good to go. I showed the woman at the front desk my nails. She said "hmmmm, sometimes that happens because of your nail shape. It's not our fault" I said "I've been getting acrylics done since I was 15 - I've never has a set that curved upwards like this." I then showed her pictures of all my previous sets. She brought me to the tech and explained the issue, and the new tech (Mari) did a decent job. Even Mari said "She could have fixed these yesterday, I don't see why she didn't fix them" And guess what? Once the new set was done, they were properly shaped and not curving upwards. Guess my natural nail shape wasn't to blame after all (eye roll). The same woman from behind the counter come by mid way through and said "you know what I bet happened? I bet that as your nails grow, they grow upwards. So the nail curved up because you have gotten so many fills and it naturally grows up. So you need to be aware of that.". I said "um...I got this set put on two weeks ago. Here. And my first fill was less than 24 hours ago." She said "oh..." and walked away. Here's the worst part. I went to the register to "pay". Now, any salon that cares about customer service would have offered it for free, considering I had spent $100 in the past 2 weeks on a terrible set of nails (according to THEM). She looks me deadpan and says "that'll be $65". Yeah...randomly $15 more than my first, terrible set. No clue why. I stared at her for a moment, unsure of how to react. I said "I'm not expecting anything for free. I tipped the tech, and I'm willing to pay, but I was just here yesterday, expressed that I was unhappy, and ignored. Now, you're expecting me to pay another $65?" She said "It's not our problem that you didn't like them". I said "wow...having the experience that I did, and then charging me full price again is a really terrible experience, I don't even know what to say." She picked up the phone, and called someone, I presume the owner. She got off the phone and said "ok yeah, it's $65. Because you came yesterday and got a fill in, and now today you wanted a new full set, it's $65." At this point, I realized that this was going no where, I paid, and left. I suggest you avoid this place. Chalk this up to over $200 down the drain. read more

The person who eventually helped me was on her phone and never looked up, even when she finally spoke to me. The place was cluttered and dirty. The technician cut me twice. Terrible. Called the day before to get a dip manicure with design and was told it would be no problem. When I got there I showed the nail tech a picture of the flame design I wanted and asked if she could do it just to make sure and she said absolutely. Just left two hours later with the worst manicure I've ever received, no color, no design, terrible shape. Repeatedly told her the shape was off but got to a point where I just needed to leave and get out of there, there was no fixing it. $55 and 2 hours waste of time and money. read more

Awful experience. I went to get a full set of hard gels with a gel polish and it was not at all what I asked for. Nail length and shape were terrible to the point where it looked like I had lumpy claws. I went home and cut everything off and reshaped my nails. I got drag in here not by choice. My Kids' pediatric clinic just moved into this plaza so my wife discovered this salon. She had me go in here with her before lunch at the Italian restaurant several doors up. At first only my wife was going to get her nails done. But since whatever she was getting done would take a while, I decided to get a pedicure. It was not my first time getting a pedicure, however, the experience was totally different. The girls in here are funny! They are so open and talkative it made it less awkward for a guy to be in here. The lady who did my pedicure also didn't rush through it like some other places. My wife's nails turned out beautiful also, according to her. We will definitely come back. Summary: Nice, quiet atmosphere; great massage chairs; quick, though slightly rushed service; decent prices. Tipping on credit card would be great. Details: I don't usually get my nails done professionally (I think the last time I got a manicure was 15 years ago), so I'm not a salon connoisseur. That said, the service I got at Happy Nails was satisfying. Pedicure/massage: I had left a dentist appointment next door and noticed my nails were looking a bit ragged, so decided to stop in after checking out the reviews and pricing. I went with a mani-pedi, which was a good choice because I got to sit in a massage chair and have a nice back massage. Mary was my technician. I like hard, deep tissue massage, but the chair was going quite hard and I was worried that I was shaking too much for her. But she seemed to not be affected by the vibrations. I regularly do my own grooming, so there wasn't a lot of dead skin to scale off. But Mary did an excellent job attending to the cuticles and cutting the nails close without causing any pain. I was grinning when I saw she used a Dremmel to buffer down the nails (if only mine was as low powered, I could use it!) Manicure: The manicure, however was not as pleasant. Mary seemed a bit rushed and went over my nail bed several times with the filer. I was also surprised when she didn't wipe away the dust first before applying the various ointments and lotions, though in the end she wiped everything off. The salon was not very busy and there was at least one technician idle at a time, so I'm not sure why the sudden change in her speed and caution. Payment: When it came time to pay, I used a credit card because I didn't have enough cash. Unfortunately, I couldn't pay the tip with my card as well, and ended up giving a much larger tip than I planned, though in hindsight, I should have just asked for change. Mary did give me a loyalty card to stamp for future trips. Atmosphere/decor: The woman at the front desk thanked me when I left (she was on the phone when I arrived and briefly greeted and directed me when I first entered). No one was rude or impolite, but it wasn't super friendly either (which is fine with me, just an observation). The interior is hard to describe, but I'd call it a mix between Victorian elegant, and shabby chic: gold and crystal chandeliers, dark wood trim, sky-painted ceiling, inspirational phrases on the wall, and chalkboards for prices. It was clean enough, u didn't feel disgusted when I was there, though I noticed some nail clippings under the manicure table that got caught in a corner. All in all, it was a good experience for me. read more
