I am not going to write anything negative, however, I would like to make a suggestion. People go into nail salons to get some "me time to relax." If possible, please don't ignore your client and continue to converse loudly with two other people, especially when some languages, such as mine, might sound abrupt or loud. Also, rather than tap on my foot to give/indicate directions (i.e: tap on foot tp place it into the tub or over the footrest), please use verbal directions instead. read more

Mehh. I'm pretty disappointed. I needed a full set of acrylics badly. After my last fill, my nails were pretty wrecked and 3-4 of them had fallen off. This place is close to my employer so it was convenient. The lady who did my nails was very kind but soft-spoken. She was also incredibly rough on my cuticles and even the tops of my fingers. She was filing them so roughly she ended up cutting the top of my finger open with the file. My cuticles got nicked a couple times as well. The top of my finger was bleeding a bit and she didn't seem to notice. She did do my nails a little short too. I asked for medium length and they're a little too short for my liking. And finally, this place was pretty overpriced compared to what I'm used to. I paid $55 for a full set with shellac polish and it took way longer than it should have, I felt. Also, they do not accept tips on cards. I felt terrible for not being able to tip the girl after she took the time she did on my nails, but I just don't carry cash. Pros: The interior is gorgeous and it's well-staffed. Tons of color options and fancy tables with UV drying lights built into them I'd come back if I couldn't make it to my usual spot in time (which was the case tonight) but wouldn't go out of my way to come back here & spend more money. read more

Made an appointment for three of us for 10am. 2 of us started at 10 I was started at 10:30. So I passed up my services so I could finish with my friends. My nail tech was rude because i said just a polish since I was making everyone run behind. Then she puts me at dryer station for my toes and does not turn it on. The customer service was horrible there chairs were uncomfortable and everything was 10$ 20$ 30$ more I asked for my acrylics to be round she said extra 5$ like it's not that hard to shape them different and she put me on a lock with the chairs because I was moving to much like who does that and so easy the paint came off and they charged me extra horrible never coming here again don't come here! read more

The worse nail salon I've ever been to... I came in on a busy day with an appointment. They paid no attention to me, were overwhelmingly busy with no room to walk or sit, and still kept taking homecoming walk in's... If you can't focus on your current clients, then I don't know why you're still taking more walk in's/appointments. I would've happily came the next day or another time if I was told they were busy. This wasn't the main issue, but probably the reason as to why their service sucked this day. I did a new set of dip with tips - 2 days later 2 nails completely break off.. I assume it's something I did wrong, maybe I was too rough with them? Even though I didn't do anything to break them. I come back on that Saturday to fix my two nails, my appointment was at 1 and they didn't take me until 1:40. I don't understand why it's hard to do a nail fix - I spent more time waiting then I did actually getting my nails fixed. I still tipped the girl that fixed my nails since she worked on them - only to leave and 2 other nails break a day after. I called and asked for a refund, but the owner who was passively aggressive and rude, said "no - we don't do refunds - you can come back and we can fix it, but no refunds, maybe you took care of your nails wrong" .... Why would I come back for a third time & why are you blaming me? 0/10 service, 0/10 job, and never returning. read more

Clean and skilled technicians. They don't Dremel your nails to the point it hurts. like other salons. Had my artificial acrylic nails for 2 months to allow my natural nails grow in. Never once did my nails break. Just routine maintenance with full ins. Nails grew in and they were able to remove the artificial nails without having to drill them down. Was able to get a dip manicure and made my real nails beautiful and strong. read more

The chairs are comfortable and they're relatively inexpensive ($28 for a gel mani) tons of colors to choose from- they have DND as their primary brand which is fine with me. I have been here a few times for pedi. My previous experiences had been good, but this last time (09-01) was really bad. The person at the entrance was rushing me to check-in and anxiously hurrying me. My technician also seemed to be in a rush, which meant she was quite rough on my feet. At one point it was painful and when I complained, she spoke to one of her colleagues and they both laughed as if making fun of me. I did not appreciate that treatment. read more

I was recommended Happy Nails by a friend. This was my 2nd pedi experience after about 6 years. I called two days in advance to make an appt so I wouldn't have to wait. I ended up waiting 40 min. Come on now... The pedi seemed like it was normal stuff. I put my feet in blue water and there was an iPad mini in front of me which was cool. After waiting a long time, someone finally came. She seemed to have done standard stuff to my toenails, clipping and filing. Now came the scraping part. She for some reason decided to scrape the back of my leg behind my ankle. My freakin skin came off. There was no sensitivity or recent wound or anything. So yeah that sucks. Now it's 11 hours later and there's a raw wound on the back of both of my feet. I walked uncomfortably All day today. What the hell? Is this what pedicures are like? Anyway, I'm judging based off my experience and it flat out sucked. So 1 star. Waste of time & money. read more

The service was good, as was the color selection. Salon was pretty clean. However, the gel I got was unevenly painted and sloppy (top/ base coat all around my fingernails). I even got some strand of something stuck on one of my nails. The file looked like it had been used before, and they also filed my nails after the gel was on which actually breaks the gel seal and doesn't make it last as long. Pretty disappointed. read more

She was extremely gentle and attentive. I got a French Shellac manicure and she went above and beyond making sure everything was perfect. I am beyond ecstatic with the final results!!! New to the area and came here trying to find a new nail salon. First, i told the nail tech, Lina, to please not make the shellac layers too thick. I had a bad experience at the last place i went and thought i should just mention it. She laughed at me about how stupid it was to mention. I brushed it off. Finally when it was time to pay, i paid with credit card. I didn't know tips were cash only and asked if i could include it on my card this one time. No problem. I did the math on my calculator (15% tip because I was annoyed at her rudeness) and told her to add $4.50 to my card in tip. She laughed at me, made fun of the amount, told me to keep my 50 cents and INCREASED THE TIP to $5 without telling me. Now, 50 cents isn't a big deal monetary-wise. But the sheer audacity she had to take money from my card that wasn't offered to her while mocking me was unbelievable. I'll admit, i was in shock and running late so i didn't make a scene there. But now i regret not canceling the whole tip. I recommend finding a place where the nail techs don't mock you for genuine requests and take money from you without you authorizing it. The Troy area has a lot of options, don't waste your time here. read more

I had my nails done today for the first time at this salon. Mia did them and also waxed my eyebrows. She was so personable and chatted with me the entire time, which was so refreshing! My nails look amazing and so do my eyebrows. I've traveled a lot for work and had my nails and eyebrows done in some of the top rated salons in the country and have NEVER had a job done as fantastic as she did. Even the salon at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Ave in Washington DC can't compete with the service I had today (and it cost me twice as much at the JW).
