Second time using Happy Paws for my Golden Retriever. Both times, I provided a picture that clearly showed the desired cut. To start off, they were - at minimum - one hour late to the appointment each time. The first time, the hair cut wasn't quite what we wanted and we let them know, but the owner more or less let us know we were wrong. The second time we used them, I showed a clear picture and requested 'not too short.' Our dog came back nearly shaved on the body and had numerous linear cuts on her belly from the trimmer. I let the owner know, and they again said I requested shorter than the picture and said the cuts were 'ant bites.' I have attached a picture of the, clearly linear, 'ant bites.' I don't expect or require perfection, but when mistakes are clearly being made I do expect the owner to be less than purely dismissive of the problems. I will not be using Happy Paws and Wagging Tails again. Week+ later I am having to take my dog to the vet today because the cuts the groomers caused, including within her ears, are still not healed and her ears are bleeding now. read more

I am not overly picky when it comes to my dogs being groomed but I do expect an even cut. Finns body and tail looks great. Face and ears are uneven and looks awful. I text the owner multiple times hoping they could fix it but no response. Not asking for my money back just want the cut fixed. I don't think that's too much to ask when spending nearly $100 (with tax) per dog. read more

Thank you to Christian for doing such a wonderful job on my baby JoJo. My first appointment was yesterday and what a wonderful experience for me and my fur baby. Much better than going to a groomer with many other dogs. Jojo is 9 and was so much more relaxed verses going to Petsmart as I have done for years. This is a wonderful place for grooming. Prices are fare, staff is professional and they don't shy away from "breeds with a reputation". They had no problem take in Jon Snow- a Chow Chow that was a rescue from the streets. My dog never comes home scared, or anxious. They took care of my Morkie baby and did a great job on trimming him. Stanley was able to book me the same day without notice. Bianca took off the right amount of hair and they both was done within 1 hour. upon meeting Stanley he immediately ask me to go check out the inside. Stay away from these unprofessional people. While the cut was good, they have ABSOLUTELY NO REGARD for the appointment time. They showed up about an hour late more than twice without ever a phone call to let me know. Once here, only excuses were given. Didn't offer a discount or an apology for the inconvenience. They didn't even show up today for the appointment. Left a message after one hour late only to hear two hours later that the groomer wouldn't be coming. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!!!!! Just awful. Planted flea waste on my dog so they could charge extra for a bath. They intentionally botched his cut, and restrained him so harshly that we had to rush him to the vet for a crushed trachea. This is a dog who never moves and totally cooperates through grooming. He's 10. He was so traumatized, it took him days to get over it. These people don't care about animals. Stay away! read more

Love this service! I have a 14.+ year old Border Collie that is blind and his groomer for the past 10 years moved so we had to find a new one. I was so excited about having a mobile groomer and willing to pay an additional $45 for the convenience because I work long hours and have meetings throughout the day. It's tough to step away to drop off and come back to pick up my boy at the other groomers. This company was fast to respond to my questions and very professional and nice through text. I sent a picture and told them my dog was 21 pound mix. They quoted me $85. The extra $45 had me questioning but I sucked it up because I just didn't have time to take him elsewhere. I received my appointment with reminders stating 1:30pm with a 45 minute window. Well, I moved my meetings to ensure I was available to hand off the dog. Waited, waited, waited, Nothing. Finally I had to reach out to them to find out how much longer. ANOTHER HOUR! So they showed up over 2 hours past my appointment time. I understand that things can happen but a quick phone call OR text saying "we are going to be running late" would have helped. I could have taken my meeting instead of pushing it later into a Friday evening. Now, they were very nice when they showed up and they did do a great job on the grooming (the nails aren't as short as my other groomers which means I'll have to take him sooner) but the rest looked good. Then comes the bill and it is $10 more. I said "I was quoted $85" and they said "well, it's $95." Now, most people would probably not tip.. I mean, they were 2+ hours late, they overcharged, but I'm stupid nice and still gave a $15 tip. So my grooming cost me $117!! I came back in and texted the gentleman again and asked why I was charged more. I received a "sorry, but your dog looked more like the size of a cocker spaniel." WHAT? He is 21 pounds. Sure with his winter fluff coat, maybe he "LOOKED" but he is no where near the size of a cocker spaniel. Even if he really was bigger than they expected (although I sent pics and weight), you'd think they would say "we did quote you $85 AND we were 2 hours late, next time it will be $10 more." I'm still so mad that I tipped now. I feel a bit scammed on this. I know it's only $10 but that took an already doubled price to even more! I didn't want to pay $45 but would have certainly said no to $55!! So nice, yes. Good grooming, yes. Reliable NO and Customer Focused: NO It's a shame because I will look to a different mobile groomer over the $10. read more

Yesterday we tried Happy Paws & Wagging Tails for our 10 year old terrier mix. She HATES to get a bath and hates getting groomed even more. I opted to try a mobile service so she wouldn't have to spend hours and hours at the groomer. Well she still didn't like getting all clean and pretty, but the service was extremely good. Stanley and Bianca seem to genuinely provide a less stressful environment for the pet and their mobile "shop" is quite the set-up: air conditioned, sparkling clean and totally equipped. Our girl looks beautiful and smells better than ever. Pricing is a little higher than a typical groomer - but the extra attention and convenience are a great value. While they did a great job with grooming the dog and trimming the coat, they failed to disclose that 3 nails were cut and bled out while clipping the nails. When I called, I was told quick stop was put on them to control the bleeding, which I'm perfectly ok with, but if we were told they were cut at the time we got my dog back, I could at least have watched the dog and monitored the paws. I went to the store and got back in 10 minutes. I have blood in ever possible room in my house. When I laid her on her side an actual small pool of blood started forming because so much blood was coming from her nail. With my girlfriend being a vet tech it was an easy treatment (luckily). When I called I was told the nails were so long it was bound to happen, and they thought it was controlled when it happened. I'm really easy going, that's fine, but once again if someone could have let us know, I would'nt be on my hands and knees scrubbing dry blood off my floors. I really wanted to have my other two dogs groomed, but I can't trust that everything will be fully disclosed to us when I get them back. I'm not a 1 star pissed off consumer, the fur trim looks great! But I can't overlook the nail issue. read more

Wow!! Just drove up from Bay City to see the kids in Richardson, Texas. Our Gracie , Min Australian Shepherd, needed grooming, so my wife, as we where driving in, went to Web and found this 5 star sight. She called , Stanley answered, we told him what time we would be at our daughters home, 45 minutes later he and Bianca drove up. One hour later, Gracie was groomed and very happy.
