10/10! I've been taking both of my dogs here for some time and never had problems here. Both my dogs are now senior dogs, 12 and 14 years old. I've had experiences where my dogs would shake when I drop them off at the previous groomers. I've switched to multiple groomers because of this but never had that issue at Happy Puppy. Happy dog eating some lettuce after a day at the groomers.

We've been going to Happy Puppy for our pup for the past couple of years! Our pup, Oliver, doesn't love getting baths, but the owner here really does a good job of helping Oliver to cope with his bath and groom. His grooms are always consistent and come out super cute! We usually get the puppy cut and like to have a "summer cut" to give some time for his fur to grow out. The owner does everything from head to toe and he always comes out looking super adorable. She also gives seasonally appropriate bandanas! The owner is currently taking cash only, but if you don't have cash at the time, she also accepts venmo.

Very friendly lady and my dog looks great afterwards! He looks brand new every time. I feel very good about leaving him here. A full makeover clean and cut is about a three hour drop off and my medium sized dog costs $90. I recommend!

I usually don't leave bad reviews and I was very happy first time I took my dog here. I took my dog to emergency right after and they told me his skin was burnt or irritated by hair dryer or some sort of tool they might have used. Be aware of this if you are taking your dog here. They lost my business today.

My 10 year old puppies look beautiful after their grooming today. The best part is that she listens to what I wanted for them. I've finally found my go-to groomer! Any dog owner will understand the relief of having a trusted groomer who you can 100% rely on to give your precious pup a bath and haircut (especially if they're a rescue dog like mine!). Pricing is reasonable and our pup always comes out clean and fresh! Would highly recommend Happy Puppy. read more

Our friend recommended this place to us and we gave them a shot. They were great and our furbaby looked and smelled amazing! Right now, they are cash only (not sure if this is a longterm thing). I've only been here twice, but from what I can tell, this place does a great job of trimming your pooch. I originally went there with my first dog, and after he died, I just couldn't go back. Eventually, though, because good groomers are so hard to find, I decided to try this one out again for my current dog. Both dogs, which are small breed Maltese and Havanese, came out looking just adorable. No nicks or cuts, no nervousness, no trembling with fear, so I could tell they felt comfortable here. The only reason for 4 stars is I can't assess how they do on ear cleaning, teeth brushing, etc. and because I've only gone twice. read more

My 10 year old puppies look beautiful after their grooming today. The best part is that she listens to what I wanted for them. Our dogs nipples were ALL cut off. Unbelievable our dog hated visiting this place and we feel so bad for having taken her to this place so many times. I hope other dogs don't get this treatment. I would stay away from this place at all cost. Pay more and go to a place where you can see through a window or at least that has cameras. Also if you took your dog here, make sure to check if their nipples are still in tact. read more

Theeeee worst ever! I took both my dogs there to get a full grooming and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my dogs!! She charged me for all these services. She shaved their whole body and left their face. The most botched cut I've ever seen!! My dog had diarrhea all day once he got home. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I paid over 88 dollars per dog!!! Never again. read more

I'm definitely coming here from now on for my dog, cookie's haircut. She was getting so shabby and we finally got a chance to make an appt this weekend. The owner was responsive and super friendly. The location was closer to my home, the price was comparable around 40-50$, but the overall experience was better than my old groomer. I used to go to blue ribbon grooming in tustin and the place was extremely dirty compared to happy puppy. I am so happy I found this new place and we instantly thought it was cleaner. Definitely fairly priced, especially considering the other locations are trying to charge $80 for a groom. We also love the extra touches: The ribbon bow at the end was so cute! All my family members loved the little bow and cookie looked so happy. I will highly recommend this place. read more

Still great! I had taken my dog to her vet to get groomed during Covid because most groomers shut down at the start of the pandemic. I should have taken her back here sooner because I was unhappy with my vet's grooming. I love how I don't have to make an appointment one month in advance. I can't stand when a groomer is run like an exclusive Beverly Hills salon where you have know someone and make an appointment far in advance. They play calming classical music, people are nice, they do a great job and I love the adorable bandanas they put on my dog. I have kept all of them. Most importantly, my dog isn't frazzled when I pick her up. read more

They are rough with the dogs,my dog was cut too short around her sensitive areas, she also scratched excessively for weeks until I gave her a bath at home. Our dog simply never liked going there, haircut was never worth 75$ and didn't last past 4-5 weeks. read more

WORST GROOMER EVER!!! They don't deserve any stars, however it is required to give at least one star in order to submit my review. Happy puppies is definitely not the right place to take your dog(s). And when I say this, I strongly mean it. Recently, I took my healthy two yr old dog to "Happy" puppy and it turned out to be one of the biggest regrets I have ever made in my life. When I picked him up from the groomers, he was acting unimaginably strange and not his usual self. He was not eating well, he wasn't running, he wasn't playing with his favorite toys, and he spent most of his days sleeping. This was the first time my dog acted like this and shocked me completely. Instantly I knew, something wrong happened at "happy" puppies. I checked with them and asked them politely if anything happened, or went wrong there and the groomer made a great deal of excuses and false vindication. And on top of all her deceptions, her attitude is what surprised me the most. In spite of the fact that I still remained calm, the groomer continued being audacious. After the next day, I woke up only to find out that my dog was not properly walking. He was dragging his feet languidly and repeatedly falling over. Startled, and appalled, I quickly rushed my dog to the Emergency. And after many hours, we found out that there was something wrong with his spine and leg. Yesterday, he just had a long and excruciating surgery. Watching my amazing dog go through this, made my heart hurt awfully. IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR DOG PUT AT RISK, PLEASE FIND A SAFER AND KINDER GROOMER. HAPPY PUPPIES WILL ONLY MAKE YOUR DOG SAD. ( 100% honest ) read more

They do a good job, but only if your dog is well behaved will you not get a lecture. Not all dogs are well behaved, especially at the groomer's. Instead of working with your dog and being assertive with your dog establishing the pecking order, they complain to you about your dog. They will also charge you more. read more

My dogs came home smelling great and looking super cute with Christmas scarves on and Christmas bows in my female dogs hair. I absolutely love this place because the employees are caring and friendly. I've been going to a different groomers in Lake Forest for 2 years ... they told me they were fully booked the other day so I was forced to try Happy Puppy. I'm so glad my other place was booked up because I found a better place to take my dogs. I'm a happy happy customer and my dogs really liked the treat bags we were sent home with! read more

Grace is the best. We recently moved to this neighborhood and was looking for a new groomer. I have three medium size dogs. The woman running this place is so sweet and patient. Took our mini labradoodle in for a full groom as all the usual groomers were booked before the holidays. Our doodle was pretty matted from the rain and wearing a lil' sweater for awhile (totally my fault). She let us know that the cut would be pretty short and we were ok with that. She did a wonderful job and our pup seemed to be happy with it as well. Her rates are cheaper than most places. Plus, our pup had a cute scarf, bow on, and sent home with a lil bag of treats. This place isn't far from MY house and I was sick of commuting back and forth to Cerritos for her groom days. I called and got an instant answer and set her appointment. When I walked in it was nice and clean and she was very welcoming. She asked what kind of cut did I desire and in an hour MY baby was done which I thought was great! When I got her she was in good spirits, smelled good, and looked adorable. She had a ponytail and a cute pink hair clip. Her cut looked a little choppy in one area but not too bad. Overall I loved the service and will definitely be taking her back when she's due. read more

I am a regular at Happy puppy and I just wanted to say that this groomers is by far the best place I've taken my dog. First of all, when you first walk in, the shop itself is very clean and you feel welcomed. The shop has a doggie gate attached to the door which ensures me that my dog won't be able to run away. Grace is very sweet and she is very thorough in asking how we want our dog to be groomed. I have a toy yorkie and she often gets her hair tangled and dirty because she's outside a lot of the time. But Grace does a wonderful job grooming her. She always comes out fresh, clean and happy with a cute bow! I really recommend this place! read more

I took my two Chihuahuas there for the very first time for a nail trim. It was very clean inside and the girl at the front was very nice. There was no wait and the price was very reasonable- Less than Petco. When they were done they came walking out wearing gingham bandannas.... so adorable!!! I will definitely be back again read more

First time ever bringing my new pup to a groomer ever. I was more nervous for him since he still not use to strangers but when I came back to take him home, he looked great! I was looking for a groomer for my lil TiTi and found this place on yelp. So glad I did. My lil girl is very energetic and high energy!!! And they handled her very well!! Also they did everything I asked for and kept her eye lashes long which I love! They truly set the standard for what a great grooming experience should be -- not just for the pets, but for the owners too. My dog is a very anxious pup, especially around new people and noises, but the team here has always treated him with such patience, care, and kindness. They really take their time to make sure he feels comfortable and safe, which means the world to me. Every time I pick him up, he looks fantastic -- his coat is soft, clean, perfectly trimmed, and he smells amazing. You can tell they take pride in their work and pay close attention to every little detail. What also stands out is how easy and stress-free it is to book appointments. Their scheduling process is super convenient, and MJ and Neda are always so accommodating when I need to make changes or fit in an appointment last minute. They're genuinely some of the nicest people you'll ever meet -- professional, kind, and clearly passionate about animals. We've been bringing our pups to the Jamboree location for quite a while, and up until the beginning…read moreof this year, we had nothing but positive experiences. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

I mean they take care of all animals , so a little common sense would tell you that it will smell like animals. And I can re assure that all the occupied rooms had bedding and water. The lady answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable with leaving my dogs. The place is small and there isn't much to it but it feels homie. They send pictures every day. Also the owner and staff reply really fast and there's good communication. For pet owners that just need simple and chill care this place is for them. Wow! Finally a groomer whom I can trust and my dog enjoys! The groomer here was absolutely amazing and I can tell by how happy my puppy was after her grooming. She always got sick and threw up after grooming due to stress, but once I switched to this groomer, she is perfectly fine, even happier!
