Superb food, great service. We ordered (takeout) the goat curry that came with rice and peas, plantains and a delicious spinach side. The lady also gave us a little salad with our choice of dressing (how sweet!) and we found two candies in the packet when we fit home(even sweeter ). We were happy with everything and would go back in a heartbeat. Tip- they do not take orders on grubhub, only via Ubereats and DoorDash. This is a little gem in the middle of Allentown, you will not be disappointed in anything you order here, the portions are fantastic and the spices are blended together perfectly in all the dishes and trust me we purchased one of each of the main dishes the oxtail and the chicken stew are so good but the sides of rice and veggies were some of the best tasting meals, it's a real small Very Clean place with some booths we definitely want to go back and try some other things. The sandwich was exceptionally delicious and the oxtail was the best oxtail i have ever tasted. Easily the best food I've had in awhile. I got the jerk chicken, white rice with broccoli and peppers and it exceeded my expectations!! I have bad luck when I go out to eat, so I was grateful to have chosen Happy Sandwich, and I left with a great experience. Ms Carol is an angel and she runs this place all herself, so I know the food is consistently delicious. She gave us complimentary pineapple juice & apple cider she makes herself, and some fried potatoes too! We found this little gem by happenstance. Ms carol makes delicious home cooked food. Her own special take on traditional dishes. Her salmon and perfectly cooked jerk chicken taste great. Ask for her homemade heat as well as her creamy garlic dressing. I am not one to post reviews but Ms. Carol at Happy Sandwich deserves the kudos. On a 10 day road trip and quite by accident ended up at this eatery. Doubles and Happy Grapefruit juice were amazing. We were able to sample the doubles, because the rokis were sold out for the day. (We did arrive after 6:45pm.) in the future I would go out of my way to return to this place. Amazing food. We had the curry chicken and the meat just fell apart as you pulled it off the bone. All the sides, rice, chick peas, potatoes and sweet potatoes were delcious. I went here today for the first time. It was Friday around 1 PM, and a group of 5 of us went since we were done work early. We were probably there for an hour and a half or a bit more. Had the full experience, hospitality, music, samples, great food, very tasty pineapple and grape fruit juice. Although, I started off with a Ting, since it reminds me of my days of living in the Caribbean! There are a lot of cool specialty items like other people have mentioned. I had a chicken roti, which was good, but I wish I was a bit more adventurous with my palate. Two of my friends ordered ox tail and another had a shrimp roti. I hope to try the ox tail or maybe the shark next time, and will definitely get some of the home made juice right off the bat. This is a family business with a store across the street too, and we met the chef's daughter while we were there. I was in the mood for some Caribbean food and after hearing the great reviews about this place I was excited to try it. I called to place an order for delivery and I believed the owner who is a women answered the phone. She asked if I'd be willing to hold for one minute and I agreed. She didn't place me on hold, she just sat the phone down and after 8 long minutes I assumed she forgot about me. I could hear her conversation with other customers who were in the store and as she took other orders.
