I got in a fight here (Scrappy Tea), got my hair done in corn rows here (Nappy Tea) and also tried their Peppermint Bubble Tea (Crappy Tea). But more than anything else, when the girl in the jeans in the pic insists on me taking her here, then for me and any boys (and probably girls) in the place, it becomes Fappy Tea. It's a legendary tea house because we used to come here in the middle of the night when nothing else wa open. There were times when they'd be open till 2 or 3 in the morning serving very watered-down very questionable Tapioca And Boba. They offer a lot of very questionable drinks and have a lot of very questionable items here. But mostly, it was a sexy place and a place for games and fun. That time is past, sadly. This location is one of two, neither of which is the original location, and as far as I can tell neither of which has the same spirit and joy as the original. If you take your Dad here, it's Papi Tea. If your lips are dry, then it's Chappy Tea. And if you get lost on the way here, it's Mappy Tea. Service and decor are really nice, and they are open later than most, but the products are still less good than they used to be, and they took away some of the great fun of the place like the games. I still appreciate it being here though for sure. If you don't have discerning taste in bubble tea, you might actually really like it. It still gets a five star rating, though the products are more like 3-4 stars at best. But it's open later than anyone else for boba, in an area where there isn't really any. If it were in the largest city of Minnesota, it'd be Minneappy Tea. And it'd sell sodas too. Not just small and large, but Mini Sodas. If it were in the capital of Maryland, it'd be Annappy Tea. And If Jay Z brought his own Houston girl (Beyonce) (who does not dress as hot as my Houston girl) here it'd be Rappy Tea. And I guess if we really wanna go one step further than ripped jeans and heels, then I should bring my date here with both of us wearing nothing but Cling-Film. The food is great, the staff is nice, the atmosphere is very relaxing and calm. I enjoy coming here for a quick bite or just to collect my thoughts. My husband loves the Asian dish they have their. I always grab the elote in cup, tacos or flautas...so good! They have so many choices its hard to just pick one. I visited because they have a drive-thru during this covid19 crisis. I was craving ice cream and was headed to a fast food place that offers soft-serve ice cream when I saw this. I'm taking a star off because they don't have prices in the drive-thru menu. The attendant recommended the vanilla blended cappuccino. It's quite tasty. It costs $4.50. They need to include their prices in the outdoor board. I can't comment on the interior as I only experienced the drive-thru. read more

Love the Fried Rice! If you like it spicy, they have you covered. If you don't, don't add the cup of oils and spices they provide. (It's not soy sauce, that's in packets) Either way, it's yummy! Love this place just cause they have a drive throu. The watermelon slush with mango poppers is my goto always. Especially in the summer when watermelon is in season. The parking lot is spacious. So you won't have trouble parking. I can imagine at night it looks a little creepy the decor of this place from the outside is nothing to write about but that's ok cause I'm not there for the decor. I was in the area to get a midnight snack. Then, I saw this place on my bookmark; so, I decided to give it a try. Reading the menu on the wall was tormenting. I was offered to read a smaller version in front of the cash register. I felt like I was losing my eyesight - dark images on dark background in darkness. The menu on the wall said, "From $2.99" for the drinks, but it didn't mention any additional charges anywhere. I figured I might just order it and grumble later. My food arrived without my drink. I learned that I had to pick it up from the counter. Fair to say, I enjoyed the freshness of bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwich). The bread was toasted just right, not too crunchy to scrape the roof of my mouth. For just $3.50, my tummy was happy. I also ordered a grass jelly green tea. The level of sweetness was on target. This place was loud. I had to read a few reviews to understand why some young people were so loud. I think they picked a perfect name "happy." Came here to try the fried rice that had my mouth watering here and I can pretty much tell you it surprised me on the flavor it had. Just like any China town fried rice that is cooked pretty much agreeable to the American palette this $7 for the combination plate gets a 4 star from me, would have gotten a 5 if it would have had the pieces of fried egg that many places do but it's a Tapioca place not a restaurant. I find the avocado smoothie here bland with hardly any taste of avocado here. The color was very pale green like they used 1/4 of an avocado for a 16 oz serving of my smoothie. As far as most of the other slushies this location to me makes theirs over sweet, 3 stars. Tonight I had the Green Tea with tapioca with NO sugar so I won't have to cringe with every sip and by gosh the strength of the Green Tea had me. I could have asked for sugar but I'm training myself to like Green Tea anything without adding the bad effects of sugar. The Green Tea here gets 5 stars. read more

My friend and I were in the area and needed a place to study. We decided to try this place out because it was nearby. The inside is a bit dim, but there is plenty of natural light shining in through the windows, the seats are a bit uncomfortable because they have no cushion, it's a pretty worn out place because there are visible wear and tears all around, and there is a strange stench that comes and goes. TAPIOCA CREAM TEA- with grass jelly I got the basic milk tea with grass jelly. The drink was pretty sweet and I should've asked for less sugar. It's more milky than tea and the grass jelly added a nice texture to the drink. I let the jelly stay in the drink before biting into them because they soaked in some of the milk flavor. Overall, I wouldn't study here because the music is loud and the blenders are constantly going off. The drink isn't amazing, but it's not horrendous. I wouldn't mind coming back if I was in the area and I was too lazy to drive somewhere else. read more

The staff gets along well, perhaps too well. The cashier and the manager kept looking at each other and laughing, as if they had an inside joke. It made be just a bit uncomfortable as I asked questions about the menu. I wish they'd let me in on the joke. I heart laughing too. The cashier didn't know much English, but the manager was actually teaching him. It was sweet. I give the manager kudos for helping him learn English. The smoothie menu takes up a large portion of the wall, behind the counter. It is practically a picture menu, about 10 feet by 4 feet, with images of over 50 drinks. The manager recommended the passion fruit green tea smoothie, that's what I went with. No tapioca though. The interior design inside Happy Tea House (HTH) is awesome. It's like it's Chinese new year everyday. Near the entrance, multi-layered oriental lights sway in the wind. A dragon costume hangs from the ceiling. The wood carvings in the doors leading to the restrooms is elegant as much as it is intricate. I thought the low red leather couches were chic. Red pool tables compliment the color scheme of the restaurant. Heavy white leather chairs in a restaurant? How on earth are they so stain-free? The tables are clear; I had fun taking pics of the base. See pics of interior above. Like an archeologist, I excavated beneath the rice, veggies, to make out the design of the plate. The ceramic plate my Chicken Fried Rice was served on had intricate designs etched into it in beige color. This dish looks very Americanized. It was the first time I had seen green beans in a stir fry. They don't have many food options, probably less than 20 options altogether. I suppose their specialty is their drinks. I found it odd that they gave me a plastic fork to go with a ceramic plate, how classy of them. This place has late hours 7 days a week, closing at 2am weekdays and 4am on weekends. Me likey! I am sure the students who study there like that too. Nearly everyone there had a laptop. This is definitely a nice alternative to Starbucks as a study venue. The only thing that could be better is the parking spaces. Even with both cars parked correctly, I had to slide out carefully once I parked. I am glad both cars were clean, otherwise I would have been wearing lots of dirt. These lids were cool a cute ducky in color, oriental writing, and a warning about chewing tapioca was on the lid. Let me tell you, they are leak proof. I accidentally dropped my tea inside my car. The container rolled around in the floor space on the passenger side, not a drop leaked out. I was impressed! We ordered fries ($3.25), a Lemonade slurpee ($3.79), and a Jasmine Tea ($2.50). Compared to other coffee houses I've been to, the prices were very cheap. The place is very pretty and the red and white decorations make the atmosphere there pretty chill. The service was wonderful. The young girl behind the counter was super nice and immediately offered us the Wi-fi code (we didn't take our laptops though). They had some pool tables, couches and several tables for studying. Again, not confidence inspiring. The pork banh mi, while quite large and fairly tasty, is also pretty dry. Some Sriracha/hoisin/fish sauce on the tables certainly would be a godsend! Recently, I was looking for a place to meet up a friend and discuss some business. We needed a place with wi-fi and tables, but particularly the location. This spot worked out to be exactly half way from each other. They have happy hour until 5 pm weekdays. For their happy hour you can buy two and get one free drink. We opted for the red bean, green tea, and I believe lychee. I loved my red bean drink, my finished his green tea and our third drink even though it was free barely got touched. It's an interesting idea, but unless you have three people the free drink gets wasted. The place is ok they have table area and couches. They did have free wifi but it seemed like a lot of places were placed behind blocked firewalls. I wonder if they have had issues in the past? My friend and I decided to stop by before going to the movies since it was down the street. I like the ambiance of the place. And I definitely like how it's open til 2am. So if you need a coffee house and a play to study, this is definitely the place. There's board games, tables to study at, comfy couches, and even pool tables. You don't usually get all that a coffee/tea houses so I was surprise that it had all the amenities. I really liked that about this particular location and that it just has this nice comfy feel to it. The bad thing about it was that I was really disappointed in the beverages. I ordered one of my favorite drinks that I like to get a ANY teahouse, which was almond milk tea. First of all, my first sip was pretty awful. It tasted grainy and you could definitely tell it was made from powder or just not well mixed. That was pretty disappointing. I have been a fan of Bubble Teas for a little over 10 years now, and this location is one of the better Bubble Tea places that I have been to. They have a large selection of beverages, as well they offer food items. I usually get the Lyche Tea with Tapioca or the Green Apple Green Tea with Tapioca. Every time I have received my tea it is well flavored, and has just the right amount of sweetner to make it delicious. The restaurant is very nice, dressed up in a sort of asian theme. They have lots of tables, a few couches, and a couple of tables outside on the sidewalk. They have free wi-fi internet access if you want to lounge around and relax. There are a couple of pool tables, an air hockey table, and a good selection of board games to entertain yourself with. Location is great, there is a movie theatre down the block. So this is a great place to come after the movie or a great place to meet before the movies. read more

I grew up drinking tapioca tea, so I think I can give a word or two on the quality of their drinks. It is GREAT! A little bit on the sweeter side compared to tea bar, but it is what I like and used to drink. Service is good too. There's one TV, couple of pool tables and soccer game for entertainment. The vibe is simple. Not sure if I'll come study or hang out, cuz it doesn't seem comfortable for both. For studying, the tables are dirty. I saw someone threw their drinks in the trash can while spilling on the trash can. It's just awful. There's left over food on the tables, and based on other reviews the bathrooms seemed dirty too. For hanging out, it's too bright and quiet to stay long. I really like the drinks and the hours (open till 2 every day), so will definitely come get milk teas TO GO. Happy Tea House is a very cool operation! This is more of a lounge, or work space with some entertainment, and then you order drinks and even a snack while you hang out or work. There are plenty of outlets for your electronics, plenty of tables, a few couches, bar space, and then some pool tables for entertainment. There's not much to the space, but just an easy place to come relax and focus. I ordered their Mango Green Tea with Boba and loved it! I wouldn't mind dropping in here to pick up a drink on the weekend while running errands either. Great little spot! read more
