ordered this last night for me my husband and our 7 year old. within an hour of eating it my husband was in the bathroom throwing up everything my 7 year old threw up all over and I joined in looking like the horror seen from bridesmaids!! iykyk! I usually love this place but after they tried to take out my whole family we will not be back! they need to check dates, clean, or do something! I went online through a sight that pulled up under the name for Machesney Park, IL Happy Wok. So I had to put in my credit card number to be able to get this order through. So I get there and the paper I print out says the order is $21.92 total. When I get there they tell me they do not have online ordering, but the funny think is they had my order written down on paper. So if they do not have only ordering then how did you get my order. Then the gentlemen came out I told him I payed with my card already he says you pay if you want food. Then funny I told him what the cost was total I had he charged me over $30.00 for my order. So I will be taking my order in showing it was done online and that they charged me way to much. I was so upset not even funny you work so hard for your money and they rip you off! I ordered dinner here the other night. I didn't feel like going out so had it delivered. I live almost exactly a mile from the N. 2nd Street location. The food was luke warm when it arrived. Tasted good but somehow I figured being that close it should be hot. I was a bit disappointed. I left a message when I ordered that it should be delivered to the side door and the young man went to the front door. I don't order that in winter. I have been a weekly/bi-weekly customer for well over 3 years. For the most part the food was okay. My last order though was horrible! I ordered General Tso's Chicken Dinner family size. My husband and I could not eat it. It was so over cooked it was uneatable. I called and spoke about this with the owner who wanted me to bring it back for a new order but I had an appointment and couldn't go back. Also, we were totally grossed out from the burnt chicken we had no appetite. So, the owner said he would give us a free dinner next time we ordered and I was satisfied. Seeing that in a month time I spend approximately $55.00 not including tips. A couple weeks went by and I called to place my order. The girl who answered the phone could of had a better attitude.. As always I ordered my egg roll, crab ragu and the General Tso's Chicken dinner. Our crab ragu was good as was the egg roll. When we started eating the General Tso's Dinner I spat it out! It was unbearablely hot! In all the years we've ordered this the food was never this spicy! This my fellow yelpsters was done on purpose! My husband thought maybe it was just that one piece and tried his. His was the same. We are well aware that this is made spicy but this was unbearablely and purposely made so hot that no one could eat this food! Yelpsters if you ever complain about getting a bad dinner from this place know that when they give you your free dinner that too will be uneatable and this time done on purpose because you complained! The food used to be really good. I don't know what happened, but the quality has been horrible. I have had the General Chicken and it has been really dry. I got the sweet and sour chicken tonight. The sweet and sour sauce seemed like it was watered down and there was absolutely no flavor in the dish. I will not be going back to this Happy Wok anymore. Had their sesame chicken for lunch and it was awful!! The few bites I took was only b/c I was starving. Didn't even eat half. The chicken tasted like super cheap quality and rubbery chicken. The 'noodles' were linguine drenched in a extremely sweet sauce. read more
