Let me preface with the fact that this review is about the baked goods. I've never tried the other items. I ordered the cheesecake with fruit on top and the cookie pictured. The white cream on both items had no sweetness to it. The cookie itself was an odd texture and overall, the flavor was not doing it. I have had this spot on my food/drink bucket list for a while and was so excited to finally try the viral vegan smoothies. I got the deluxe smoothie which came to be $24 which was a shock to me because i've never paid that much for a smoothie and don't plan on doing it again. I will say that it definitely lives up to the hype of how aesthetically pleasing it is and picturesque as seen in my photos. The flavors were a bit underwhelming due to the larger portions of banana put on top and at the bottom of the smoothie. The other flavors barely got a chance to shine. I've been waiting all year to try this place. My manager raved about it last summer. I got to work two hours early to get there. Of course the line was long but I waited. Got inside and heard a customer say the only had two flavors left. If the woman behind the register is Zoe she wasn't pleasant. She was frustrated people were waiting in line and had to tell them that they would have to leave because they closed at 5. Such bright fruit colors, nicely arranged in your well-sized cup (I always get the large). When I'm in Greenpoint, it's a definite must-stop. Also great are their cakes. We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter last year and it's hard to explain how good the cake was - all four of us in the family were very impressed. I organized a Libra birthday (s) gathering and was happy to order a cake I can eat. Planning my cake was delightful and glad I ordered ahead as it was for a weekend pick up and they had ALLOT of weddings and other occasions booked. I went with all chocolate cake and frosting with vanilla layers with a pinch of peanut butter filling. Coco nips on top. 6 inch provided 7 healthy serving with allot left for me to eat for days after. Everyone commenting "I normally don't like birthday cake but this is delicious" and "wow this cake is delicious" or "I only wanted a tiny piece of mine but ate it all". And all of this without harming any animals and with all organic ingredients, the planet and our bodies are rejoicing! The best vegan cake I've ever had! I was looking high and low to get one of my best friends a heart shaped cake for her birthday, vegan of course. Found Happy Zoe and reached out to see if they could make a custom cake for her. They were more than happy to make the exact cake I was seeking to get for her, and were amazing with communication and being thorough. My first question to them was 'can you make it heart shaped?' Absolutely amazing cafe with incredible variety of baked goods all without refined sugar. We also tried their take on soft-serve (called frozen whip). Can't wait to return to try the sandwiches. The owner Zoe makes wholesome and delectable cakes without refined sugar and other refined ingredients. It's so nice to find cooks or bakers who believe in making food without processed ingredients. We loved everything we tried. The berry cheesecake was super light and refreshing. The chocolate mocha plum cake was so balanced. Lastly the dragon fruit banana whip super yummy. Wow!! I've only had their raw banana frozen dessert but it is absolutely delicious! All the fruit is organic and the soft serve is raw and vegan. It's better than ice cream! The texture is amazing and creamy and the flavors are delicious. I'm excited to go back and try a few of the other flavors. The inside is super cute and has interesting decor. Some of the furniture is antique couches and sofas and some of the furniture is regular tables and dining chairs. It's a fun, quirky design. I had the brownie which was okay but I believe I remember her saying they are extremely clean with their ingredients. Service was really chill and the place was cozy you can sit and read or enjoy your pastry there. I would go again to try other things.
