Bookmark to try their cardamon bun while vacationing in NY since I do enjoy trying them ! It was a bit dry for me so I didn't care for it !

    An assortment of treats.

Otway Bakery in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, has some really tasty baked goods! Everything we tried was delicious. We had the savory twist, ham & cheese croissant, Portuguese tart, and kouign-amann. Each one was fresh and flavorful. The service was also really nice and great. We had a wonderful experience!

Came on a Sunday at noon and there was a short line inside, but it moved quickly. Morning bun is absolutely perfect - 5 stars for that alone. Cardamom bun is also great!

I've walked past this bakery many times and usually see a line outside so I was curious to see what it's about. I was lucky not to find a line there today, but would totally queue for those scrumptious pastries in the future! They have the yummiest selection and while I wish I could have tried them all, I had to choose and opted for the Tomato and Ricotta Danish along with the Cardamom Bun. Both were exquisite!! I was particularly excited about the Tomato Ricotta Danish. I love savory pasties but generally feel like they're not as widely available and often tend to be try/underwhelming. But not here! This little danish was soft, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Extra brownie points for good coffee and allowing my dog inside while I order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This might be my new favorite bakery around here!!

Everything at otway blew us away! We shared the savory bun (it had cheese, mushrooms, and onions that morning), the cardamom bun, and the morning bun. The morning bun is a must get!!! The texture is incredible and it is so wonderfully flavored w a nice crunch from the sugar - such a treat! The other two items were also fantastic. I was also very much a fan of the coffee, which had a nutty flavor and just the right amount of strength. Can't wait to come back!

Definitely one of my favourite bakeries in America so far. If you see a line outside, don't sweat it. it moves fast and it's totally worth it. My boyfriend and I love love love the kimchi savoury bun the most. Didn't see these too often on days I have visited, but if you bump into a cruller donut there, GET IT! To die for!

Cute little bakery on the corner. There is only a front of shop and the line forms out the door. I've heard they sell out quick, so you need to get there early! Clean interior with a partially open kitchen visible from the front desk. Multiple pastries on display but there were more on a baking rack....definitely ask if you don't see it at first! Ordered 3 pastries, the Pain Suisse was our favorite. Cardamom bun close second. Strawberry danish still delicious!

Otway Bakery has a delightful selection of baked goods! The cardamom is what brought me here, though it leans a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. Still, it's quite enjoyable and crafted beautifully (chefs kiss!!) I also appreciated their Middle Eastern-inspired treats, like the zaatar focaccia, which was packed with flavor and perfectly baked. Everything is made in-house, which really adds to the freshness and quality of what they offer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bakery has an open layout so you can even see them making all the fresh baked goods they offer in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Someone recommended id try their baguettes so I will be back for them and to explore more of their menu. A definite must-try for anyone who loves creative, well-crafted pastries!

Yet another amazing bakery in Downtown Brooklyn, more specifically in Prospect Heights. The place is small but has pretty hefty variety of savory and sweet backing goods, some of which are pretty unique. I really liked from the savory offering kimchi bun and from the sweets is peach Danish. The croissants are one of the most delicious that I was ever had. Also they have seriously good coffee, I mean like really really good with a bold flavor without being overturned. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is quite popular so expect some line standing especially in the morning, especially on a weekend[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I definitely will be back for more.

    The crueller was very delicious!

Came in on a rainy Sunday and most of the pastries were sold out. We ordered the crueller, hot chai latte and the special of the day (brioche french toast with raspberry jam and almonds crust). The crueller was deliciou - super soft, well glazed and melts in your mouth! It was so good we ordered some more to go. The special of the day (brioche french toast with raspberry jam and almonds crust) was good too. It tasted like a french toast croissant fusion. The hot chai latte was good too - tasted more potent if u stir it more.

My neighborhood bakery! There is almost always a line out the door, but the best feeling is grabbing some pastries when the line is short. Recently, they've been having a ricotta-tomato-basil danish....man I dream about it all the time. They do a good balance of savory and sweet pastries, including the Parmesan nori twist, the cardamom bun, savory danish, mini babka, kouign amann, and others. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a small, cute bakery and i love that you can see the bakers in the back of the shop working hard to make delicious treats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not sure if I would wait in long lines for the pastries, but it is definitely a delicious treat!

Otway is by far my favorite bakery in the city and honestly the place I spend the most money. I've tried most of their sweet pastries and they are all soooo good and reasonably priced for the city. I usually devour them before I can take a picture. Some of the pastries are regulars, but others like the sticky bun seem to be sold on rotation so when I see them, I have to get one. If you don't get here somewhat early (before 12pm), most of the good pastries will probably be gone. Also, I've noticed long lines on the weekends but it's usually not too bad on the weekdays. The one downside is sometimes the iced lattes have so much ice that they're gone in seconds but that's also the case with most cafes I suppose. In terms of service, it's gotten much better. The baristas before were not the friendliest but the ones there lately have been nice :) Overall, I'd 10/10 recommend if you're in the area!

I really wanted to love and support this bakery. The presentation and facade is so wonderful, but unfortunately the service and treatment of customers is deeply disappointing. I spent a couple hundred dollars supporting their Kickstarter campaign to launch. The promised thank you was a brunch for 4. I never received the brunch, so I reached out to Otway by phone and email. After a few emails, I was told certificates were mailed out. I said I have not received mine, but since then I have not received any response despite multiple emails and calls. I would be happy to update this once rectified, but in my eyes, any restaurant that is so disrespectful to its initial backers deserves a poor review.

First time coming in person (I have been spoiled and a fantastic coworker would bring in different…read moretreats from here on occasion). The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.
