The lady I spoke with on the telephone did everything she could not to have a technician come out to check on what was going on with the dishwasher. I contacted Home Depot and spoke with an associate at the Oakbrook Terrace location and they called and spoke with someone with Allstate Protection Plan and made an appointment for a technician to come out June 02, 2026 between 1pm and 3pm. No one showed up or called. I will ask Home Depot to refund my money I paid for the protection plan because it is simply not worth the purchase if a consumer cannot get a technician to come out a look at the appliance.

They have a pretty impressive selection of soil, soil amendments, and fertilizers amongst garden decor and other sundries. If you're here for the first time as I was, it was honestly a little difficult to find the right entrance to get to the garden center/ outdoor entrance. When I had the items I needed, the outdoor registers were all closed at the time, so I had to wind my way back into the store. Not a huge deal, but just a head's up. They had some mini potted herb gardens for sale when I went, but all of the plants looked a little wilted or had seen better days. I can't speak too much on the other areas because I didn't need anything from hardware or cleaning supplies to name a few. However, I do know that they use a ton of mail-in rebates if that's of interest. Check-out was a little confusing: I remember that I had to maneuver a little differently with my cart since their process was different from most other stores. Not terribly difficult and the cashier was friendly about it. There was just no clear way to know how to navigate the register for the first time until you chat with the check-out clerk. Parking is generous but a little busy in an expansive private lot.

I continued walking looking for who could help me and finally decided to just wait for the employee who greeted me at the door. As I was waiting (I know George saw me) I watched him approach a customer who had just walked in. He greeted him and asked him what he could help him with. At this point I was annoyed because I had been waiting at least 5 minutes for the other employee to finish up. After about 10 minutes the employee was done and helped me. Now, I have two things it could have been. I'm a woman and I'm not white. This stuff usually doesn't bother me this much but today it did, hence the review. If you're a person of color I'd avoid. Blower was returned to the owner of the Ace Hardware JT Weiss. I requested either a new blower of a full refund. Mr Wiess refused either, also called Toro the manufacturing Co and they refused a full refund. Mr Wiess offered a repair but I would have to pay up to $500.00 and Mr Weiss would pay the remainder for a new snow blower Mr. Wiess requested full price of the blower. It id now August 10, 2026 and I have not heard from Mr. Wiess nor the Manufacturer. I do not have my blower nor do I have a refund. The biggest scammers in the village of Glenview. Stay away from this store. The Manufacturer stated I have a 30 Day warranty, but I do not have the blower, nor a refund, nor a new blower its been SEVEN (7) MONTHS .
