Purchased a refrigerator/freezer combo to store breast milk for our newborn son. Delivery was great and timely. Seemed to work well. Inside of 36 hours, the freezer stopped working and the fridge was no longer cold. We lost 7 days of stored milk. For anyone that has ever breastfed a baby, that is so much! I immediately called Lowe's and they told me to call the repair folks. I called the repair people from Frigidaire. It took 1.5 weeks to get the guy here. He told me the compressor has gone out and that it is leaking freon onto my floor. It will take 3-4 weeks to get a new compressor. Order was placed. So, since I was sold a faulty fridge, I called Lowes this morning and the associate, Nathan, told me the manager will call me back today. The manager did not call me back. Nathan did. After he told me my "options", of which non were even close to satisfactory, I asked to speak to a manager. Nathan said he would transfer me to the manager. I kept being rerouted back to Nathan who was apparently not aware that the manager has left for the day. He told me that I am outside of the return window of 48 hours, even though I called and did exactly what they said to do. I have been on "hold", which is not actually a hold, for over 40 minutes. Just silence. If this is how Lowe's treats their frequent customers, I am not interested in dealing with them any longer nor am I interested in spending anymore money in their stores. I shall continue to call until Lowes makes this right. Get ready, I am no longer going to pleasant... ***Update*** I called back after being on a silent hold for an hour. Nathan answered the phone. I told him that he is just making more angry and he needs to settle this mess. Without saying anything... another hold. This time, with music. A woman named Charlotte answered. I asked if she was a manager, to which she confirmed, but she is the manager in the front of the store. Nathan seemed to pass me off to a completely different department to make sure this was no longer his problem. I told Charlotte the whole messy story. She was quick to ask who had treated me like that. I was happy to divulge the information. Charlotte began by apologizing, profusely. Then we started discussing how she can make it right. She found me a replacement fridge that is actually an upgrade and is not charging us the difference. This is how you make a customer happy! This is the closest hardware store but when I come here I waste time looking for things so I should go to the farther place. I would save money and time, just not mileage. I came in today looking for plumbing stuff. There is no banner at the front for plumbing. I found the toilets in the back, but not much else in small plumbing items. I get directed to Aisle 16, which is correct. The "Plumbing" sign is only In the middle of the store. Recently became a homeowner and I am realizing some handiwork ahead of me. I decided I needed to find a go to home improvement store near me. Having had a few negative experiences in the past with others (Home Depot) I decided to give Lowe's a try. The workers seem happier and more willing to help. I enjoyed even just looking around to adventure through the isles. There are probably a few less workers than other places I've been to, but overall I am pleased and i will for sure be back! I feel like most of the prices are pretty reasonable as well. I mean you can grab a few things at Walmart, but a specific store with people who can help give suggestions and ideas on projects, can't beat Lowe's! read more

When the Lowe's I was standing in didn't have what I needed, I fired up the interwebs and searched for it. The Lowe's website said I could come here, to West Jordan, and told me how many they had and where to find them. I loaded the address from the Yelp app, navigated here, and bought the product. We're living in the future. The product in question was vermiculite, and though they've carried it in Sandy before, they only had it in SLC, Bountiful and in SLC. The other Lowe's in question was Murray, and I came up empty handed there. It stands to reason, as I've never loved that store and their garden section seems a little cramped. Here in WJ, the yard is more traditional, although on my visit, they didn't have any doorways opened or registers running out there, so I had to haul my bags inside to the checkout. Not a big deal when it's lightweight vermiculite, but if you had a big cart of soil you'd really roll your eyes at that. I like the size of this store, and obviously, they have stuff that other locations don't and that's kind of the whole point to my last visit. But they do have their downfall, and when I needed to buy power tools, lumber, and hardware recently, I opted for the orange store instead for a lot of that, as I still find those areas superior in that area. I even price checked Lowe's and they just didn't have all the right lumber--though I did buy some of it. Side note: Lumber is crazy expensive right now. That's not Lowe's, that's weird COVID supply chain stuff, but holy cow, it's pricey. read more

We just happened to get a "lemon." Nope, 2 1/2 months later the same awful noise came from the new fridge. The manager did not care. He said that he would check into things, but their policy is after 48 hours that we need to go through our warranty. So, my question is this...who is going to pay for my rotten food and the $500.00-dollar prescription that my insurance would not cover and that had to be refrigerated and is no longer good. He didn't care and he certainly didn't care about customer service or the fact that I spent thousands of dollars in his store. He did not care that I would have to deal with this problem every 2 months because they sold me a defective appliance. This Lowe's is hit or miss with their customer service. If you go on Saturdays or busy hours they have enough employees and you can get the help you need. If you go any other time you're on your own. I have been sent in circle trying to find a single item by associates who had no idea where I need to look but just typed in their best guess and sent me searching. I also got a ratchet set here that busted the same week when I used it to change my spark plugs. They did take it back but it was a headache to have to go back and forth for a ratchet I could use once. read more

I was very disappointed in Lowes. I ordered an above stove microwave online that needed installation. After placing the order, I continued to wait an additional two weeks before I was notified about an installation date. After confirming my installation, I had to take a day off of work to be available for the installation. After waiting the entire day with no sign of the installer, I contacted Lowes to see if they were still coming. I was told the installer called, and I told them I did not know about any installation. Which was an outright lie. The then offered to do the install the following week. Like I got all kinds of days to be taking off work. I immediately requested a refund and canceled my Lowes card. Love training my dogs here. The staff are super nice and always wanting to say hi to the pups. For a while they were even recognizing us! Definitely a great place for dog training. It isn't the usual use for a home improvement store, but it's a huge necessity for the dog training community! I had my plumber install a new water heater from Lowe's. I bought what Lowe's pro recommended a AO Smith 9 year 40 gal. I had both of you on the phone within 24 hours of installation. It howls or makes a hellacious harmonic scream. It's intolerable. My plumber now has two like this. You guys want me to be satisfied with a repair now. Because as your customer service guy told me " it's a long way from the mfgr to Utah. That's a crock. I don't want nor will I accept a repair. If I had wanted a refurbished model I would have bought one. I wanted a dang good water heater. I told my plumber I don't want the cheapest one I want a good. Should have went with Home Depot. This Lowe's has everything you'd expect to find at the home improvement warehouse AND a whole lot MORE! This store is literally massive, easily twice the size of any other Lowe's I've been to. In fact, it's probably too large. They seem to have about double the inventory of a regular Lowe's store. Although I must admit I was shopping for patio furniture when I visited this Lowe's and their selection was very disappointing. Don't have much else to say other than that I usually prefer Home Depot's product selection, but Lowe's has some great product too. read more

Lowes usually has whatever I need for around the house. On my last visit I was a little disappointed that they didn't carry as many BBQ accessories as I have seen before. I needed some replacement lava rock or the ceramic bricks for my grill and they didn't have any. Customer service has always been good here and when I ask an employee a question they always have an answer and know right where an item is on an aisle. I'm usually at Lowes every couple of months and often tell family to get a Lowes gift card for Christmas if all else fails. read more

I utilized the curbside pickup but this was a major disaster. The item that we were told was in stock was not. Then they denied saying that it was in stock. We ended up canceling our order. If i could give zero stars, i would. Customer Service is at the bottom on their list. I went in there today because i needed a special type of bolt. I walk in there with a positive attitude and left without one. Walked up to a gentlemen named Tim and a lady named Heidi. I asked the lady if they were busy and she answered very rudely "yes!" I was confused of the answer because i was not sure if she was busy or if she meant the yes as in yes can i help you. Tim kept talking over me to Heidi and i wasn't sure if Heidi was willing to help me or not. I was waiting politely for them to finish talking to each other but instead, Heidi rudely starts somewhat yelling at me, asking me "CAN I HELP YOU?!!" "YES?!" "ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ANYTHING?!!!" And i didn't say anything because i was SHOCKED at the way i was getting treated, there was also a family looking and looked as shocked as i was. she walked away from me and thankfully Tim was very helpful. As im following Tim, i overhear Heidi talking/venting to another co-worker about what just happened and i was very upset. Unfortunately, i didn't find the bolt i was looking for, i asked Tim the lady's name and he gives me her name(Heidi) i told Tim she was being a bit rude and he commented that she was helping another customer, i said that wasn't an excuse to treat a customer the way she did and it was unacceptable. Buying the appliances we purchased akd spending the amount of money was simole and easy. Scheduled the delivery for the following weekend and was promised a morning delivery. Was told we would get a phone call about the delivery that never happened. I called the store to complain and was told I could complain to corporate but they turn it back over to the store. I asked and was told that whe it is turned over to the store and I had already complained it would do me no good to complain to corporate. So I am very frustrated with the costumer service from Lowe's. I bought a bathroom vanity and had it reserved for pick up date. When trying to pick up my vanity it took over an hour for the employees to help us and we had to leave and were unable to pick up on that day. I talked to the general manager and he said he would arrange for a free delivery the next day. So I called on the day to confirm that the delivery was arranged and they said that it was confirmed, so I waited for most of the day with no notice from Lowe's. So I went over to the Lowe's and my stuff was sitting there and they said that it was not going to be delivered but had to be picked up. They had never arranged it to be delivered and told me that it had been. I am very angry with the manager(Jeff)and The customer service I have received. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!! DO NOT USE FOR INSTALLS!!!! This has been, by far, the worst customer service experience of my life. I can't believe I spent my hard-earned money to have my home left in worse condition than before this whole nightmare began. We chose Lowe's for carpet install because we wanted the Stainmaster Pet carpet. From the very beginning, just trying to inquire about the carpet was like pulling teeth. No one knew how to help us. We weren't asking to re-invent the wheel, we just wanted to inquire about carpet. Apparently there is only one person in the store who knows what they're doing in carpet, and if she's unavailable or not working that day, well too bad! No one will be able to answer your questions. So from the beginning it was rough. So the lady who made and then later confirmed our appointment for the install kept saying our appointment was for 8:00 AM. I've never had carpet installed before, so it would have been nice to know that 8:00 AM really means 9:15 AM. She said it would take 4 hours to complete. It took almost 8 hours. They sent 1 guy to do the whole job, and his work was terrible. The seams are noticeable, it's lumpy and wavy in several spots, and there is a random hole the closet where there is no carpet at all! Not only that, he chipped the tile in 2 spots and said nothing about it. Oh wait, there's more . . . there's so much more. So he knocked a framed photo off our wall, and then PUT IT BACK UP ON THE WALL BROKEN and didn't say a word to us. If you break something in my house, just be honest about it, don't try to hide it. That's called dishonesty. So after he left I was pretty upset with the whole experience. I tried calling the store 5 times and I kept getting hung up on. The person would "transfer" my call and then it would just disconnect or keep ringing and then disconnect. Finally I became irritated enough that I just drove down there and spoke to them. I had to make an appointment to have someone come out and assess the damage. He assured me it would get taken care of. Ok, I'm starting to calm down now. Well then I was informed we had to make another appointment to have someone else come out and assess the damage as well. Um, ok, not sure why that's necessary, seems like a waste of my time, but ok. The guy assured us that he would get it all taken care of. Keep in mind, the manager I spoke with and both of the guys who came out to the house agreed the work did not look good. We make ANOTHER appointment for, what we *think* are the repairs. The guy arrived and said that no one told him he was here to fix carpet. They just told him to screw down a couple metal threshold bars. No mention of the carpet. The guy looks at the carpet and says, "I'm going to need more carpet to fix this, do you guys have your leftovers?" No, we don't have them, because apparently it's Lowe's policy to have everything hauled away after install, even the leftover carpet that I already paid for. So we get in touch with the install people again to say, "Seriously?!?" and apparently no one even put in an order for more carpet when the second guy came out. He knew what needed to be done and he knew we needed to order more carpet because we had a full conversation about how I didn't have any leftover carpet. So the ball got dropped AGAIN and now I have to wait another couple of weeks to have more carpet delivered. And then I have to have a FOURTH person come out before the actual problem is solved. This is ridiculous because they promised me they would make it right and they've only made it worse. This will be the 4th time we have to take off work to be home so someone can come out to my house to get this fixed. I've told all my family and friends and everyone I know on all my social media accounts that Lowe's is the absolute worst for install. Do NOT give them your hard-earned money. read more

My #1 spot on the list of stores to NEVER VISIT AGAIN! I say this with the understanding of it being close to closing time. I came in to get a few power tools for a project I am trying to get done before springtime is over and camp season is fully upon us :) I was looking for saws of various performance and I repeatedly asked an associate for help finding the blades I need and he made me feel out of place, awkward and uncomfortable. I left with 2 saws because I didn't know which one I needed for my project and the associate was of no help. I am very disappointed in the service I received by the unknown associate at the Lowe's store in West Jordan by Jordan Landing. The faucet that the builders put in is shit! We have wanted to replace it since we moved in. We got the wonderful (being sarcastic here) opportunity to when it started to leak when the hot water was turned on. Well the faucet I found that I liked had to be special ordered at Lowe's, which is fine we can deal with turning off and on the hot water for a while. It was supposed to be there today, even their website said it was "ready for pick up", however come to find out it wasn't there and they don't know where or when its supposed to be or why the website says it is, which I understand but... when I got there to get it, I was treated like shit, because they hadn't received it! I have been working with Lowels for 3 months on a complete remodel 2 bathrooms and a kitchen , the cabinets were delivered the first week in October so I started the demolition . They ordered the wrong size cabinets and had to reorder and rather than putting a rush on them Kattie put on the paper work that I changed my mind on the size so it took another 4 weeks so it has now been 2 months with no kitchen . Got the cabinets all installed and now West Valley Granites turn . One top is 1/4 inch out of square and the other has a chip in the sink did not drill the hole for soap dispenser has a crack that is 4 inches long in front of the sink and then continues to the back and goes all the way to the wall . They tell me it is fine that it is reinforced on the front and back . NOT the point it is broken ! A complete list of problems below 1- paint had lumps in it 2- they sold me twice as much trex as I needed for deck 3- I have 9 boxes of tile left from my fireplace that they measured. 4- 9 weeks with no kitchen 5- cabinets measured wrong 6- Counter tops that are cracked and not square 7- they tried to deliver 1100 feet of carpet on 1 roll and wanted to put it in my garage on top of 23 boxes of cabinets . 8- took 3 weeks to get carpet guys back to finish . Only 1 crew to do all of the stores . 9- Cabinet person sold me 2 panels 3x7 to BUILD a laundry shoot product has been cut up and put in place and looks horrible , they now want to try and use 1 of the other cabinets they have taken out and convert it to a laundry shoot . This whole process has been anything but pleasant these stores should not be in the business to remodel . My General contractor can not believe the lack of urgency or professionalism on the part of the store . DONT WORK WITH LOWES read more

It will be worth your time to ask for him and wait paitently if he is busy with another customer. There were problems with other store employees that crossed the line of rudeness and lack of desire to assist if there was even a hint of a problem but not true with Mr. Phelps. He stepped up and went over and beyond every expectation I had to make certain my shopping experience with Lowe's was well represented and that I would want to return for future purchases. On a 5 Star rating he is a 25! I justify this rating by stating I believe it would take 5 other employees, each with a 5-star rating (equaling my 25 rating) with varying skill/experience/salesmanship levels to be equivalent to what this one employee can do. He is indeed an asset to this store and a life size portrait of him at the entrance greeting you would well represent the Customer Service that Lowe's is capable of and which certainly they would surely like to see their other employees emulate.
