Too many croutons, not enough lettuce and chicken (which was dry). Dressing is creamy, not anchovy based. Looked better than it tasted.

I was so excited to eat outside by the Riviera and lake on a gorgeous day. But the cars parking directly next to dining tables and driving by was more like a city than Lake Geneva comfort and beauty. Service was bland. But she refilled my water, so she got a bigger tip. Caesar salad was small and lacking taste, too many croutons and not enough lettuce. Creaming dressing was decent but chicken was dry. Cod sandwich was ok, next time wouldn't bother with the dry bun. Fries were average. I will return to give it a 2nd chance with a burger or chicken sandwich. But they need to do better.

Pretty good bar food, nice waiter, nice price. I ordered the pretzel which was okay!

We walked around 5 miles throughout the day and stopped here for a drink before heading home. Our server was good and attentive, I got a shirley temple and my aunt got a long island. Both good and refreshing, not too strong. My cousin got a small ice cream, see attached photo - it was HUGE. We ended up splitting it and they were happy to bring us another bowl and spoon. Would come back.

We took a ride to Lake Geneva on one of our last cycle rides for the season. We stopped here for lunch because it looked friendly, welcoming and had a good view of the lake. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was ok. My hubby ordered a hamburger and was underwhelmed at the first bite. He said it look and tasted like it was made with frozen patties. We left wishing we would have ordered the bratwurst. Three beers and mediocre meals were $50!

As you can see they put guest count as one, then put in gratuity as (6 guests) which there was only two of us and our pup.

Good food, burgers and fry's where super good. They robbed us of our money though. They put guest count as 1 but said the gratuity as 6+ guests when there was only two of us and our pup whom got no food. It should've been $35 bucks without tip but they added an extra $10 even though we would tip, when we got the check back they asked for another tip. It was very confusing but it definitely didn't make me happy.

Security team was absolutely horrible to one of my friends here. They were absolutely disrespectful and almost put hands on one of my friends. We were only here for a drink or two. The security team let us in and checked all of our IDs. Yes our friend was only 20 but he let him in anyways. He was not drinking he was in a corner and after 20 minutes he decided to get up and scream at him and demanded to see his idea again thinking that we provided a fake ID for him of some sort. We're all old in our early forties. This is on him not us. The team here was nice but this was a terrible representation for our experience. We were really upset about it and we never bothered checking out the other places that we wanted to check out. Instead we just hung out and went back to our hotel , bought drinks and had fun when we could have probably had it at the bar with one person being sober who never planned on drinking anyways. An apology could have gone a long way and been more personable than taking matters into your own hands

There are restaurants you visit once for the occasion, and there are restaurants you return to…read morebecause they have quietly become part of how you move through a place. Barrique Bistro, tucked into the easy rhythm of downtown Lake Geneva, has become the latter for me. I have stopped in several times now, never with a reservation and never, it seems, at a quiet hour -- and yet I have left satisfied on every occasion. That consistency is harder to achieve than any single dazzling meal, and it is the truest measure of a kitchen that knows itself. The room is small in the best sense of the word. Quaint is a word critics tend to deploy as faint praise, but here it is earned honestly: the interior feels considered rather than crowded, warm without trying too hard, the kind of space where conversation softens and an afternoon stretches comfortably past where you intended it to go. Step outside and the appeal sharpens further, with a view out toward the water that does a good deal of the work a more ambitious dining room might strain for. On a clear day, there are few better places in town to sit with a glass of something good and let the lakefront crowds drift by. And the glass of something good is, properly, the point. Barrique is named for the wine cask, and it wears the name well. The wine-and-charcuterie board has become my fixed order across every visit, and it has not faltered once -- a genuinely top-tier assembly, the cured meats and accompaniments chosen with care and pitched perfectly against whatever the staff steers you toward by the glass. There is an art to a board like this that is easy to underestimate. Done lazily, it is a plate of supermarket components at a markup. Done well, as it is here, it becomes a small, generous argument for slowing down. Pair it thoughtfully and it is all the lunch, or all the late afternoon, you need. Service throughout has been prompt and attentive in a way that suits the setting -- present when you want it, unobtrusive when you don't, and unflustered even when the room is full, which it reliably is. Busy rooms can fray at the edges; this one doesn't. The staff seem to understand that they are not merely turning tables but tending to an experience, and they tend to it well. If I have a complaint, it is only that Barrique is no secret, and you will rarely have it to yourself. But popularity here is a verdict, not a warning. This is a near-perfect stop in the middle of a day spent in Lake Geneva -- a place to set down whatever you were hurrying toward, order the board, let someone pour you something interesting, and remember that the lake was the reason you came. Highly recommended, and I expect I'll be back before the season turns.

The food was fantastic and they had wine for $5 a glass. We had ordered a soup flight (bisque, chilli), flatbread with burrata, crab cake, lobster roll and a poke bowl. The only dish that disappointed me a bit was the rice bowl - I had a poke bowl in mind, but you have to order the fish separately, which defeats the entire purpose of a poke bowl. There was more rice than toppings, and the dish overall felt a bit dry. Everything else was pretty good. No complaints. Service was good. Overall a decent experience.
