This is absolutely the worst place in Lake Geneva to eat. Trust the reviews. Service is incredibly poor, manager response is, "it's busy." People who sit after get their drinks and food before others, food is poor, servers appear to hate their jobs. Really an unenjoyable experience over all. Way better options out there. read more

I was so excited to eat outside by the Riviera and lake on a gorgeous day. But the cars parking directly next to dining tables and driving by was more like a city than Lake Geneva comfort and beauty. Service was bland. But she refilled my water, so she got a bigger tip. Caesar salad was small and lacking taste, too many croutons and not enough lettuce. Creaming dressing was decent but chicken was dry. Cod sandwich was ok, next time wouldn't bother with the dry bun. Fries were average. I will return to give it a 2nd chance with a burger or chicken sandwich. But they need to do better. read more

We walked around 5 miles throughout the day and stopped here for a drink before heading home. Our server was good and attentive, I got a shirley temple and my aunt got a long island. Both good and refreshing, not too strong. My cousin got a small ice cream, see attached photo - it was HUGE. We ended up splitting it and they were happy to bring us another bowl and spoon. We took a ride to Lake Geneva on one of our last cycle rides for the season. We stopped here for lunch because it looked friendly, welcoming and had a good view of the lake. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was ok. My hubby ordered a hamburger and was underwhelmed at the first bite. He said it look and tasted like it was made with frozen patties. Table was dirty when we sat down. Waitress set menu's down right in the smear of jelly that was on the table. No offer to wipe down table from anyone. Salt and pepper shakers were sticky. Ordered omelets. Mine was bland, at best. Used the ladies room. Disgusting and no paper towels to dry hands. Our original plan was to go to Egg Harbor, but for some odd reason they were closed for the day yesterday. So, we thought we would try someplace new. The only thing that the Harbor Side has going for it is the location and beautiful views of the lake. But, just keep walking, because I'm sure there are other breakfast spots that you will be happier with than this one. read more

Waiter was very polite, but the management and cleanliness of the restaurant leave MUCH to be desired. The baskets that the food was served in were stacked on top of each other (touching the food directly) as food was being taken to customers. The tickets that orders were printed on (and sat all over the kitchen) were placed directly on top of food. The owners daughter has no customer service skills whatsoever, and became aggressive with my girlfriend and I when we were stating that we were not happy with the service there. She then called law enforcement on us for stating that we would not pay for a meal that was unsanitary, and the overall experience (her and the sanitation) made us lose our appetite. The owner came over to us and didn't even ask us what happened- just demanded that we pay for the food (which we didn't eat at all). It's a shame that the employees of the restaurant say that they will not be returning next season because of her. What a waste of a fabulous location on Geneva Lake. read more

The only reason I gave one star is because I feel bad for our server. He was legitimately fast with our drinks (coke and apple juice). We got there on a Saturday morning around 10:15am for breakfast. We sat outside and ordered two plates of breakfast items. It took the restaurant at least 45 minutes to serve our food, and part of the order was wrong and they food was mediocre at best. Good food, burgers and fry's where super good. They robbed us of our money though. They put guest count as 1 but said the gratuity as 6+ guests when there was only two of us and our pup whom got no food. It should've been $35 bucks without tip but they added an extra $10 even though we would tip, when we got the check back they asked for another tip. Food was pretty good, tables and bar was stick and dirty. Waitress was messing up our orders gave people the wrong food. After that it was pretty good, until the check. We had a group of 5 we were all paying separate, instead they made it one big check. All of our food should have been $20, turned out to be $150 put an automatic 23% tip on there was not happy. Would not split the check. Just trying to get more money from people. read more

We went here on a very crowded Saturday afternoon. It was a long wait but they were very nice and we understood. Sat outside, so nice out. Our server was exceptional. I forgot her name, sorry but she was quick and attentive. She suggested a drink -Creamsicle-she is the one who told management to serve it, it was so good! We had burgers. There were supposed to be 1/3 pound but there were so very thin. No way before cooking it was 1/3 pound. Onion rings were very good! Also ordered shake, not great and they menu said $4.95 and they charged us $5.95. We had a wonderful lunch, service was perfect, she was really quick to bring out drinks. I don't know that I've ever actually eaten here during any of my times in Lake Geneva but, based on the reviews, that's probably a good thing. I popped "in" for a Bloody Mary, chillin' outside and looking at the lake. The view is awesome and is killer for people watching, too, but the Bloody was terribly mediocre, as was the service. $8 for a Bloody wasn't a bad price though. read more

I ate breakfast there on July 25. Friendly staff. Was able to sit outside with a nice view of the lake. Food was standard breakfast food, nothing special. For me a key point was that the staff was taking precautions for COVID-19, so I felt comfortable eating there (I had tried another breakfast place that was crowded with no control). read more

Ahh! I stopped over here yesterday to grab some food for myself and my parents so we could hop on the boat and cruise the lake with something to eat. Bad idea! I walked up to the Take Out window and was immediately face to face with a disgruntled employee complaining with another employee about taking a break. Already a turn off. Anyway, I eventually got to order my food. - 3 cheese burgers - 3 fries - 3 cokes This order took about 25 minutes to prepare, and it was still horrible! Besides the quality, these 9 simple things were $33...and that seems a bit excessive. Anyway, to sum up the food quality - I heard about 4 or 5 times that day from my Dad about how bad of a hamburger they made. It was burnt, and was clearly grilled on a dirty, charred grill. The fries were okay at best, and the coke seemed quite small for the price. All in all....go to the Subway down the street instead! You'll save a boatload of money...and you probably won't get a stomach ache. read more

Not the greatest place in Lake Geneva. Does have a great view of the lake. Burgers are OK, service was good, but nothing really stood out. The counter behind the bar is completely filled with every machine you can find. I think they are having trouble with a brand or direction. Maybe Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible should stop in for a make-over. Bathroom was nasty and to get to it was a bit weird. Had to walk behind some old dirty coolers. Tight squeeze to say the least. I think the owners need to step back and take a look at the restaurant. Define their brand, spruce up the place, clean up the joint and rework the menu. Is this place called Speedo's? I don't know, there were signs everywhere saying Speedo's. But I know this is the place we stopped in at. I dunno, confusing. Came here because someone told us this was a bar and open. We walked up and it seemed, just like everywhere else in Lake Geneva, it was closing. We went in as an employee out front said it was still open but we should have just gone with our instincts and kept walking. Sat at the counter and had a choice between maybe six bottles of liquor at best off of some rickety shelving. They did have beer, beer taps. I only knew they had beer taps as an employee sitting at the counter who must've just gotten off shift kept helping herself. Anyway, we were ignored for a mighty good long while which was quite a feat considering we were sitting at the small counter and there was oh, one other table with two people. Plenty of employees milling about, but they all acted like we were not there, hoping maybe we'd go away? I dunno, weird. Finally someone paid us a bit of attention and she was actually pleasant. Thankfully she told us other places to go..... Which we went to because the owner of this establishment was in attendance and yelling at everyone. The cooks, the busser kids, anything on two feet and breathing. He'd grumpily eat a few bites of his burger then get up, snap at people, shake his head, point and sneer then sit and eat. Then repeat. I ordered "Speedy's Famous Burger", which comes with guacamole. It arrived with maybe enough to fill a thimble. Seriously pathetic and obviously no care taken in making the food. My girlfriend ordered the walleye sandwich; also very sad excuse regarding presentation. Two small pieces deep fried in heavy batter, served on large dry bun with no dressing or sides, with exception of lettuce on side and small take out, tear-off-top tartar sauce. The service was okay, although our watiress disappeared for a while. She brought our check without asking if we wanted anything else - and we did want a couple more drinks. By far one of the worst breakfast experiences I have ever had in my life and I would highly advise anyone looking for food in Lake Geneva to avoid this place like the plague. After a nice weekend in LG, a few of my friends and I thought we would stop in for some brunch at a place we thought looked like a neighborhood staple. Considering the awesome location and view it didn't seem ridiculous to expect that Harborside at least make their own food from scratch. Upon entering Harborside we were not greeted or seated. We sat down at the biggest table we could to accommodate our number of people but were almost immediately told to move for "fire escape reasons" while they had a table set up exactly how we were sitting but situated directly in front of the door. Not sure how that made sense but we moved to two separate tables to be accommodating. We then sat for about 20 minutes before having water poured for us or getting any drink orders. When we did get the drink orders in and got our water another 20 or so minutes had passed. The menu had about 8 total menu items. When we did order the food, any deviation from the incredibly simple and unimaginative menu was met with a lost and/or very flustered look on the part of the waitress. Onto the food...(40 mins later) One of my friends pancakes were completely undercooked and looked like a mushy mess of doughy crap. My girlfriend had a Denver omelet with undercooked eggs topped off with what looked like some crappy processed American cheese (I don't even think they sprung for the Kraft singles). Another friend of mine also got undercooked eggs in his omelet. My omelet, a specialty omelet, (basically a Denver omelet substituting bacon for the ham) came as just green peppers and onions. I asked for it to be sent back and make a new one WITH bacon. What I got back, literally 30 seconds later, was the same exact omelet I was just served with a single slice of bacon jammed into the middle of a torn up omelet. Needless to say, I sent that back and didn't ask for anything else as I was disgusted. I did, however, ask to speak with the manager or owner who was on staff. The waitress, with tears in her eyes, replied that he had already yelled at her about my order and that he would not be happy if she asked. I told her to ask anyways and the owner refused to come out of the kitchen to greet and answer for the filth he cooked up and served to paying customers. Based on this horrendous experience, I will never be frequenting the Harborside.... I don't know what to call it because it certainly was not a restaurant. I strongly encourage anyone and everyone who reads this to avoid this place at all costs. Any restaurant owner who serves undercooked food, refuses to greet his customers and verbally abuses his staff over his own mistakes will never get another cent of my money and I hope no one else will contribute to this slop hole. This place does have great location though and I am looking very forward to the next restaurant owner who purchases this lot once everyone comes to their senses and stops giving this place money. read more

I should have checked everyone's reviews before coming here. The service was horrible. We waited about 10 minutes to get seated, the inside of the restaurant was empty.....no one ever came to seat or greet us, even though 3 waiters saw us standing there so we took it upon ourselves to find seats inside as there was only 2 tables left outside and we wanted to be indoors as it was hot outside, then a waiter Finally came up to us and said "someone will be with you shortly" about 10 minutes later, we hear him argue with the other waitress to see who's going to wait on us, he finally came back and took our order, took another 25 minutes to get our food. The only time they where fast was when it came time to pay...surprise surprise. The only reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars was when we finally did get our food, it was fresh and hot. Wasn't enough to make up for the service though. I will not be coming back to this restaurant. read more

Utter disappointment on every level. I hate to leave this review but it looks like it's the popular consensus. The food was really bad. I mean REALLY bad. My $24 steak was smothered in some kind of teriyaki sauce and covered in canned mushrooms. My friend ordered the $18 mahi mahi and was presented with fried fish sticks and three packets of Kraft tartar sauce. No exaggeration. Exactly what we were served. Our server was very gracious. We reluctantly decided to give the lake Geneva location one more chance. This so called restaurant is consistently disappointing! Overall service and food is a disaster. All the bad reviews are 100% correct. I was in the food business for years. I would be so embarrassed with all these horrible reviews. But out of town people are just fooled because it's "Egg Harbor" and they have no idea how bad this place is. Stay away hungry diners. -5 stars here! If I could, I would give it a zero. So sorry I didn't look here first. The service was slow, and the food was lousy. I asked the waiter what was better, the gyro or Salmon burger. He suggested the Salmon. It was canned salmon. I asked for cheese on it, and that was all it had on it. They did not give me the standard lettuce, tomato and onion. I had to ask for it. I also had to ask for mayo. He brought me out mayo that was old!!! Skin formed on top of it! Yuck! My daughter ordered a BLT and it had 3 slices of bacon on it. All for the low, low price of $27+ for 2 sandwiches, one fry and one ice tea. Never again!!! read more
