We stayed at Geneva Resort and ate at this restaurant our first night. We were still dressed in travel clothes and we asked to be seated on the veranda. They treated us warmly and were very welcoming. Our waitress Ju was very attentive and friendly. The view was lovely and the food was delicious. As we left we were thanked for choosing to dine with them. How lovely.

Had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night. They were quite busy. Beautiful space. Not overly noisy. We were staying at the resort so we saved this dinner for our last night. I'm glad it was so good! We started with the meatballs. The cheese included is Parmesan not mozzarella. For dinner he had a ribeye and I ordered the lamb chops. We also got the king crab Mac and cheese. I'm not a huge fan of mac & cheese, but I do like crab so I had a few bites of that, but I wouldn't order it myself. My lamb chops were amazing. I would order those again for sure. For dessert I got a bourbon ball cocktail to take back to the room. It was a very romantic evening, and I would recommend the chophouse if you are staying at the resort.

Work took me to Grand Geneva Resort and Spa this week. Craving for steak, checked out Chophouse. Atmosphere was very romantic with a perfect lighting overseeing the Lake. My server was Danielle, she was awesome and make good recommendations. Started with Lobster Bisque, wished the serving was bigger, LOL. Wagyu was only 6oz but packed with flavor and instantly melts in your mouth, followed by Foie Gras, which was amazing and very fatty. Not your everyday meal but it was so good. I finished off with the chocolate blackberry cake. Overall, meal was excellent and worth a return trip.

Had a great evening with friends. We all enjoyed the service and ambiance. Food was fabulous. Thank you, we will come again soon!

The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the filet with caramelized onions as an enhancement, and it was delicious. The service was great, and the ambiance was just as impressive. The outdoor area is especially nice -- they even have a huge fire pit with seating around it, which adds a really cozy vibe. Overall, this place was incredibly pleasant. I definitely recommend it.

Every year we dine at the Chophouse during GaryCon and this year for Founders and Legends as I am a guest of these shows We always look forward to eating here and it seldom disappoints! They accommodated extra add on's to our table reservation and also half way through our meal! The service was wonderful and everyone had a great meal! The Steak was cooked perfectly even if I didn't get a photo because I was too busy eating it! We had a table for 6 that became more like 10+ probably because we sat at the prime people watching table where we can watch them walk by but also they can see us!

Amazing service, amazing atmosphere & GREAT DRINKS! Steak tasted a bit burnt on the outside , but temperature was perfect. Which was a bit odd, otherwise everything was super good. Will be coming back again soon :).

Food was excellent. The drinks were perfect and the staff were very nice. Our waiter was efficient although there was just something a little off. He never really answered the questions almost like he was faking an oral exam in school. No worries the meal was delicious and the view was perfect.

What I like about this place is that firstly it hosts many sorts of events. We weren't here late at night but we came here the morning after check out some of the vendors being featured here. The fact that it's dog friendly was even better . I like that you're able to charge by the ounce at this place. There's even food featured here too and a pretty fair price . I tried a few of the hard ciders that were featured here since I've never had that before and I'm basically hooked on their product. Bars like this are just pretty engaging. Great outdoor seating and very clean restrooms! Great place to try an array of new drinks!

It's a fun, casual spot with a spacious layout--there's seating on the main level, upstairs, and outside as well. The self-serve, pour-your-own system is a great feature. After a quick check-in with the cashier, you're free to sample and pour what you like. The taps offer a wide variety of options, including beer and wine, which was a pleasant surprise! There was live music playing during our visit, adding a really nice touch to the laid-back atmosphere. They also offer snacks for purchase (paid at the cashier). One suggestion: it would be nice to see more non-alcoholic options besides just soda--maybe a craft NA beer or mocktail for those not drinking (like myself). Overall, it was a quick but enjoyable stop. We'd return again. I also noticed they offer bingo some nights- that's always fun.

Lots of great variety here! We all felt a little shorted on the tasting itself, as the woman leading out group was spread thin helping/educating multiple groups at once. We of course had to get a charcuterie plate to pair, and that was delightful. Best part? You get to take a bottle home of your favorite wine you tasted, which was a total surprise to us. In addition to their wines, they have tons of other drinks available at the bar. Custom cocktails, a whole section dedicated just to Old Fashioneds, plus some local brews. Their food menu is made up of mostly snack-style food, with many tasty picks from cheeses and meats, to spreads and small pizzas. After our tasting, we enjoyed their side patio - I had a lavender cocktail of sorts with an adorable butterfly ice cube. Points for presentation! I'd come back!

The mansion was built in 1856, making it the first mansion in Lake Geneva. The estate has been completely redone but charming details were kept. Along with a mansion where you can book a room, Maxwell also includes beautiful gardens, lounges, outdoor fireplaces, a heated pool, croquet and bocce ball. There is also a separate area in the back with motel rooms. Like I said, I was there for a lil' drink. There's a bar inside the mansion (Apothecary Bar) with all kinds of medical and druggist paraphernalia, with the space being a tribute to Dr. Philip Maxwell. A friendly helpful bartender, explained all their creative cocktails, shared the pub food that they offered, and answered questions. We ordered a flatbread pizza and a spinach artichoke dip as well as a couple of cocktails. They served us at a table where we sat on a couch in a room just across the hall and were quite comfortable. There are other rooms where you can go - not much seating in the actual apothecary bar.

One of the best restaurants in the Lake Geneva area is a hidden gem on the upper level of the resort, Ristorante Brissago. My wife and I made a reservation for Sunday evening to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted at the door by the hostess. We asked if we could get a table by the window and she graciously accommodated our request. Our server, Tanya, greeted us and asked if we wanted to start with a bottle of wine, or cocktail. After a brief review of the menu we decided to start with a beer. My wife had a Peroni, Nasto Azzurro and I chose the New Glarus Spotted Cow. The bus server brought us a basket of warm bread, olive oil, and shredded Parmesan to get us started. Tanya returned and we decided that a cold night warranted a hot bowl of Minestrone Zuppa soup. The soup was made with vegetables , pasta shells, parmesan, broth , and pesto. A great start that brought the right amount of warmth to the beginning of our meal. Tanya was exceptional. She checked on us periodically and did not rush us to order the next course. I mention this because a lot of restaurants have adopted a policy to seat you, feed you, and rush you out the door. Thank you Tanya and staff for understanding that dining out is an experience to relish and take your time to relax and cherish good food and company. For our entrees I was deciding between two dishes and Tanya suggested the Roasted Branzino. It was prepared with a Potato Fennel Puree, Pomegranate Beurre Blanc, Orange Herb Gremolata. Perfection. It was the most flavorful fish I've eaten in many years. Thank you Tanya for your expert opinion. Bravo! My wife ordered the chicken cacciatore. Her dish was prepared with Roasted Cornish Hen, Cacciatore Sauce, Roasted Potato, Chives. Lighting doesn't always strike twice. Her chicken and potatoes were a bit under cooked. The presentation was beautifully executed; however the dish was good, not great. For dessert we were debating between an espresso martini when another cocktail caught my eye, the creamsicle martini. Amazing martini. It was strong, flavorful, and garnished with a slice of orange. Best cocktail on the menu. Wonderful, sublime, and tasty. Tanya surprised us with a slice of New York cheesecake with a candle and a Happy Birthday placard made with chocolate. Thank you. The cheesecake was amazing. Thick graham cracker crust and a rich New York cheesecake drizzled with Carmel and a side of whip cream, blackberry, blueberry, and strawberry. WOW. Loved it! I'm reminded of an old Irish proverb "Laughter is brightest where food is best". Thank you for bringing laughter, love, and great food to the table.

Ambiance: Ambiance and restaurant decor was one of the highlights of the night in my opinion. Lots of neat items and decor - interesting glasses, art, couches/chairs, leather menus, etc. Food: We had the Peruvian chicken wings and the wagyu beef tacos. I thought the Peruvian chicken wing dish was quite good - 9/10. The chicken was very flavorful and the salad was a decent size and tasted good. The wagyu tacos in my opinion was underwhelming for sure. It really tasted like pretty bland meat and the tortilla chips on the side were almost guaranteed straight from a bag (Aldi blue corn tortilla chips if I had to guess ). I wouldn't personally recommend the tacos. If I were to go again, I'd get the chicken wings again, and get the hangover salad instead of the tacos. Drinks: We had the coconut cocktail, the cucumber cocktail, and I had a beer from Nicaragua. All were tasty, albeit definitely lacking punch, i.e. I couldn't actually tell you with a fact if they contained alcohol. The Nicaraguan beer was super light and I liked it. There was a beer from Czechia but it was out of stock.
