Came back twice in the same week, after our first visit after completing a whale boat tour nearby. It was the closest ice cream shop. But we drove out of our way to return later that week because our boys liked it that much. Ice cream is creamy and special made. Lots of flavors to choose from. After a day on the water, we came back in time to have a Peanut Butter Shake with Death by Chocolate ice cream and peanut butter sauce. It was rich and delicious and just what we were craving. Usually I stand by my firm belief that it's never too cold for ice cream. But the rain and pervasive chilliness down by the water in Seward put that to the test during my week in Alaska. Fortunately on my last night in Seward, the sun came out and Harbor St Creamery was on the way back to my hotel. Doesn't look large from the outside, but it is pretty spacious with large colorful booths for seating and some other small tables. Staff was friendly and moved the long, long line quickly. A cruise ship had come in to port and a ton of passengers were coming in for a treat. Fortunately I just beat the rush but noted how the staff maintained their cool and stayed friendly and moved quick. They didn't bat an eye when I ordered a kid's size scoop. I saw that their small scoops were massive and it seemed like too much for me. I ordered the huckleberry flavor which wasn't overly sweet but had the flavor come out very distinctively. Really good texture and taste. Fun little dessert stop in Seward to cap off a day of adventures. read more

Lots of options here...shakes, ice cream, sundaes, etc. Definitely a great after-dinner stop! I opted for the coconut cream ice cream in a cone, and was not disappointed...flakes of coconut in the ice cream, delicious! I recommend stopping here after dinner and walking around the town. Or stop here before dinner if you're a rebel! read more

This place was delicious. They have many flavors including some unique ones: caribou caramel, strawberry cheesecake, huckleberry dream, etc... They also have a lot of toppings and sundae concoctions. They even allow 2 samples before making your "final decision" It is very reasonably priced and the girls working are very nice. We got a kids scoop with topping and 2 scoops in a cup for about $10. There is a large sitting area inside so you can enjoy the cold ice cream in a warm interior I would 100% recommend this place for a tasty treat! read more

Gayle and I had just disembarked from a tour of the Kenai Fjords and there was still a good half hour until the hotel shuttle arrived. I was bored and she was a bit "Hangary". The answer? Ice Cream! She got a dish and I opted for a cone, and we had plenty to choose from. We took our treats to a nice table and enjoyed wolfing it all down. Came in on a Friday evening around 7pm and was one of two patrons in the place. Several different flavors of ice cream but mostly just your standard fare. Moose tracks ice cream was good but I only found two peanut butter cups in the scoop and the huckleberry was tasty but sadly very icy. Price was fair and I'd probably come back if in the area. read more

It looks like just an ordinary ice cream shop, but I was so pleasantly surprised at the flavors. My husband ordered huckleberry, while I ordered moose tracks. Both flavors were unique, yet not overwhelming. It was also just the right amount of creaminess. Sometimes I have a difficult time finishing a really thick scoop of ice cream, but this one was still light! It was very very easy to finish. What I loved about the moose tracks here is that they used mini peanut butter cups instead of the usual chocolate flakes. I would highly recommend here for a sweet treat! read more

Sweet Tooth kicked in so we decided to try the Harbor Street Creamery. It did not disappoint! We had the 'Scoops in the Nest'. We each picked an ice cream flavor, I picked the Chocolate Peanut Butter and hubby picked the Raspberry Swirl. The ice cream was very good and satisfied the sweet tooth. Service was friendly, quick and with a smile. The interior is decorated nicely, with bright colors and lots to look at. Coffee was also available but we did not partake. read more

Getting off the cruise ship, we were THRILLED to buy real ice cream. Nobody tells you, but cruise ship desserts aren't good, people. I mean, if you have no taste buds, then sure. Our kids were all about this place because the options were aplenty and so cotton candy and cookies and cream ice creams were purchased and made two small kids very happy. $3 for a kid cone and lots of other options, but a perfect location with a great view of the harbor. read more

I wasn't expecting too much from this place because I've had my fair share of ice cream shops, but was very mistaken. This place has so many flavors! And they don't taste terrible! I was very pleased with the huckleberry flavor and would say that the extensive menu really welcomes anyone craving anything sweet. Although this creamery doesn't have a specialty per say, I would say they stick to the basics and do a superb job with making simple yet excellent ice cream. If you're in the area and want ice cream make this a priority stop! read more

We were satisfied with our ice-cream. It tasted ok but nothing special. A bit over priced but it's expected in a touristy town. There's a 8% tax in Seward which is ridiculously high compared to nil in Anchorage. I'm spoiled! The customer service was courteous but not very honest. We were in dire need for a huge trash bag so I figured I would ask them for one. I was willing to pay for it too. However, they told me that they have no such bag and can only provide me with a small plastic one. After thanking them, I walked away and saw their trash can was lined with a huge trash bag, the kind that we need, by the main entrance. Oh well. That's ok if they don't want to help a paid customer. Luckily, we found a convenient store down the road. read more

The only thing better than the delicious ice cream and coffee is the amaOnf service! We spent a few days in Seward and enjoyed ice cream and coffee from this shop multiple times! The londong fog was one of the best I've ever had. Also love the kaladi latte. My favorite ice creams were moose tracks and espresso explosion! The best coffee ice cream ice ever had. Pretty generic for ice cream. Cliche inside (which is fine, it's tourist trap) and a few benches outside. Ice cream sundaes end up inside clear plastic cups, which is kind of cool-- you can see the layers-- but the presentation is generally better in a bowl, with more room to spread out. read more

The only food place in Seward (besides the supermarket) where staff wear masks and distancing is enforced. Given that Alaska currently has one of the highest transmission rates in the country and the Kenai Borough has the highest per-capita caseload in the state, it's kinda the only safe place to eat out. Besides being socially responsible, the ice cream is very high quality and the yummy sundaes are a great value, with so many add-ons available. The perfect treat after a backpacking trip! read more

This was a very cute and wonderful spot to stop for some ice cream while visiting Seward. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Clean & efficient ice cream place. Can't complain. Not really any special favors, nothing more then you would see in a grocery. Average prices for ice cream which was surprising for being a tourist town and cruise port. Would have thought it would have been higher. Kids enjoyed it. But what kids wouldn't. Located right in the middle of everything - across from the main harbor ticketing offices. Ice cream selection was good and the value was good. I have seen ice cream retail prices spike to crazy levels recently. But, Harbor has kept theirs reasonable. I got a small vanilla and my wife got a combo with mocha and chocolate peanut butter. Lots of folks around us were getting sundaes and those seemed like the way to go... Harbor's specialty. They were open a bit later than most of the shops and restaurants which was nice. Harbor was definitely one of the two prime ice cream spots in Seward. Enjoy. read more

The only thing missing is a light show! I love that there is techno music BLASTING my ear drums while I freeze my epiglotis! Confused my senses, since I was expecting tired 50's pop music, like every other ice cream parlor. Just loud enough to drown out the sound of any one at another table, so you can glut yourself on ice cream in peace. Ice cream trivia on the walls give your mind somewhere to wander. The atmosphere is cozy, the menu is a good one, but the food was... let's just say I want to go back to Seward for the food alone again! Their salmon was delicious, the prawns too, the burgers were very tasty, everything we have tried was good. Nice service too, the food comes out pretty fast. There ware even pickles in a big drum you can stop by and get for a small price, choosing the one you think you'd like the most. I wish more people knew about this place, that's why I am leaving this review.

It was served with plain white jasmine rice and frozen green beans. Zero seasoning on the rice and beans, which was so odd. I've never been served frozen green beans at a restaurant. We ordered a bottle of reserve red blend. The wine was below average--the type that's barely drinkable at first and then becomes acceptable after the first glass. I wondered why it was possible to select such a mediocre bottle of wine from their menu. I suggest making a reservation at Rays Waterfront next door. All of the plates there are pricey, but based on the line out front I bet it's worth it.
