    Jameson...Friday cheers!

Harbor Town Pub in Point Loma is one of the places my friend likes to go to because it's casual, offers food/drinks, tv monitors throughout and music blasting so loud you can't have a conversation which is perfect since he's not there to talk. The place is dark, dank but looks clean enough approachable. There's a room with arcade games which attracts adults and children. This pub is also dog friendly. All the female staffers are not friendly and not helpful, despite the fact my friend is a regular..is NOT good service. The polar opposite effect from the male staffers who are friendly helpful and cool. There's limited spaces at the back for free parking. After parking and upon entry from the back door, you order and prepay for your drink and food from the counter before finding a place to sit. The staffers will bring your food and drink, no table service after that if you're in a booth. Service at the bar isn't any better since the one bartender seems to get overwhelmed and service falters :( My friend is a typical swm: single white male who likes beer, whiskey and bar food to his health detriment. He finds this place tolerable and it's one of his hangouts. This pub can be considered a dive to some or just a cool get away pub for others. The menu does have some edible foods: Brussel Sprouts, Fries and Poke nachos all of which I've tried, when I had a minute to seat and stay. My friend has tried nearly everything on the menu but his favorite are the burgers and the fish and chips. Good service is sadly inconsistent but Harbor Town Pub has been here for years and it's a community anchor located close to the harbor. Caveat emptor!

Did somebody say Happy Hour?!!!!! HTP never fails, and my recent visit was more of the same. The music is always bangin', the food is always delicious, and the crew is supremely awesome. Here you'll find delicious burgers, fresh salads, and beautiful fish (relying on my +1's for that part). Came out for an afternoon lunch that ended up spilling into a beautiful Thursday happy hour, 3pm-6pm, experience. For lunch, I enjoyed a spectacular, juicy, and deftly seasoned burger with chopped bacon, pickled jalapeño, and you guessed it, BLUE CHEESE BABY! This 1/3 lb burger, $15.95, was thick, cooked to perfection (the standard is medium so if you don't like medium just tell them your preference), and served with beautifully crispy fries. I'm more of a 1/2 lb burger man, so I should have added an additional patty for about $5-6, but I still had my fill. But as lunch waned on, happy hour kicked up the excitement with a straight plinko style showcase that included a recurring drumroll and a rotating highlight of a different special every 30 minutes. Let's gooo! This created a vibrant shift away from my delicious, yet dwindling burger. Can you say $3 whiskeys, with a $2 upcharge to make it an Old Fashion? Or how about $3 Pacificos, or $5 Moscow Mules? Each of which were one of the highlighted specials during the 6-30 minute specials during happy hour. Accidentally or otherwise, I indulged in several, whilst making new friends at the bar-Heyyy Grant and Claire! I really enjoy this kind of happy hour experience and they definitely knock it out of the park with this one. Shout out to bartenders BEN and NINA who not only provided 5 star service, but consistently kept the vibes on 10! Did I mention they play good music hear, from older hits to hip-hop classics, I often find myself singing along to hits from yesteryear. I didn't play any games, but they've recently expanded with even more games and seating. If you're into to pinball or those pop-a-shot type basketball games, this might be your go to spot for food, drinks, and fun. Many thanks to the cast and crew at HTP! You guys rock! Note: If you like Waterfront in LIttle Italy or The Hills in La Mesa, you'll be happy to know they're all under the same ownership and share a some similarities. Enjoy!

This place was such a pleasant surprise! Completely unassuming from the outside but right when you walk in you're welcomed by the fun decor, great energy, plenty of games, and tons of TVs. You order at the window and they bring your food to you. We shared the wings and I got the Chinese chicken salad. Both were good but I would probably try different things next time. The waffle fries looked really good I was eyeing the persons food next to me. Will definitely be back again!

Gotta admit that the food here always hits the spot each time I come in here. You really can't go wrong with whatever is on their menu as each item is flavorful. I got the Jalapeno Burger and a side of garlic fries, if you're a fan of that you already know what you'e getting yourself into. We also got the Cali Burrito which the meat was highly bomb.com Super cool vibe, friendly staff and food came out in a timely manner. Will for sure be back.

Best pub grub in SD The Spicy Chicken the best anywhere I get the Argentinian, which is a lightly marinated steak with arugula, cheese and chimichurri sauce. Super good. They're hamburgers are among the best in San Diego. This place definitely knows how to make pub grub.

Great beer, vibe, arcades and staff. We came here on a Sunday for the arcade and enjoyed a couple drinks and some really tasty food.

Beets, Brussels, Bleu cheese salad, absolutely delicious.

Picked up food to go tonight and was wonderfully pleased by the filet o awesome sandwich that I got as a lettuce wrap, garlic fries, and beet, Brussels sprouts and blue cheese salad. Everything was really delicious and it was blessedly quiet in there. The lady that helped me was amazingly friendly and positive also as it seems they almost always are these days.. I really appreciate that.

This place is fun!!! Firstly, they have a popcorn machine and you can serve yourself popcorn, so I was already very happy. Full bar, and the food is SO good. We were a big group so the pics are just what my friend and I shared. Ahi Tuna Tostada- they give you a good amount of Ahi and it was very good and fresh! Buffalo Cauliflower bites - super tasty! Jalapeño Bacon Burger w sweet potato fries- easily 9/10. A little salty but sooooo tasty and the perfect amount of spice. Will def be going back, and will actually try to place some arcade games lol ALSO they give the ENTIRE bar a round of shots. Big win

What a fun spot! We came here during a game and the place was full of energy. Loved the selection of arcade games for kids and adults alike. Lots of room for a big group as well! I was very happy with the food. Brussels sprouts were such a large portion, and the seared ahi salad was fresh and delicious! Definitely a gem of a spot.

    Wings

Can't go wrong with the poke nachos and wings! They don't skimp on the poke nachos. This spot is very casual and has good service.

Festive, lots going on, variety of food and beverage, open air, game area, family friendly, TV for sports. Ready for St Patty's day.

What I ate (and I did eat 95% of it because I was starving and didn't dare wait another 35 minutes for another option), was overcooked, and since it was fried that meant blackened crusties and rubbery dried out fish, all served on a burnt bun. I get it...kitchens get backed up, sometimes staff doesn't show up, sometimes you have a newbie. But I did offer to pay for my drinks and cancel my order long before it arrived...but instead was forced to wait on this, overcooked and burnt (the irony). Waitress gave a heads up they were backed up...that was a plus, two tables ahead finally got their food...but then there was nothing else coming out of the kitchen, and those tables had now had enough time to consume their food and were lounging and relaxing. So I went to the front to cancel the order and a fella hopped out of a booth from behind on over to the register. I say it's been over a half an hour let's just cancel the order. His reply was to look up the order time, and then tell me it has been "33 minutes" as though that was a logical rebuttal and I was being unreasonable. He refused to let me pay for the drinks telling me the salad is done and that we were waiting on the sandwich (never crossing his mind that perhaps he could at least offer to wrap it up to go). So not being permitted to pay and cancel I went back to the table and waited. The same guy delivered the food. When the waitress immediately came over after, I had already had a chance to see the burnt piece of fish and burnt bun, and sadly, waved her away...what was I going to do? There was nothing to say. I couldn't complain, I couldn't ask for a replacement, I was forced to wait for burnt food. I had plans, was late and had to make alternate arrangements. Not life altering but annoying...I survived. What was insulting was the waitress brought over a card after I had paid...a free round on the house. First off, nobody was drinking. Second, could have spared me the wait time, and could have just not forced me to pay for burnt food. Host, manager, owner? Not sure what his role was...but missed an opportunity to just cut the losses. I heard the salad at our table was good, crunchy buffalo chicken. There were lots of ads for specials so they do try as a community bar to keep folks interested and engaged. Games on one side for the kids (or big kids). But having driven 90 minutes, wouldn't go out of my way to come back (too many other options). There was a guy on a bench outside who was sipping on a soda, looked like he was passing through with his backpack, so I gave him the card, go in, have a soda, watch a game...hopefully they honored it. I would not say don't go. but I would say to the register gatekeeper...do better. And definitely appreciate your staff, they at least had attentive servers. P.S. Need to keep dogs on the patio. My SD was tucked perfectly at alert under me, and on three separate occasions in the one visit had to physically block dogs from coming under the table (passerby's with drunk oblivious owners). In one instance had to shove my leg out pushing the dog back (ironically this same dog had been sitting with the register guy, so likely a local regular)...I repeatedly told his owner, "no, No, NO!" So that didn't help my experience either...all that after I had to get up and stand and argue about cancelling my order (which the quick position change and standing resulted in an episode with my blood pressure and heart rate). It was just a hot hot mess that should have been better handled.

Food was good, servers, bar tenders were amazing and chill, relaxed atmosphere. You can sit and chill and watch the game or get a little competitive. Dogs are welcome which I love. The only downside is that they have carpet inside which is great to walk on but not so great when our fur babies have accidents :( May be time to switch to tile or something else. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the space which was exactly what was needed to start the weekend.

With that said, let me start with my high hopes of Jimmy's based on Yelp reviews from fellow Elites. We came here with a large group to celebrate my son's birthday. Reservations were made in advance knowing we had a large party of 13 and this places seemed like a pretty popular spot. I chose this place to celebrate my son's 23r birthday for their burgers & location (right off the Marina). The hostess was cordial when accommodating my reservation. She even asked if I had other needs and just mentioned I have a dad with advanced Alzheimer's so they are aware of a guest need. Upon arriving, hostess was pleasant and expectant of our arrival. We sat down pretty promptly on the outdoor patio. Our waitress greeted us as we got settled. Mentioned all their food comes fresh. Proteins are not frozen and fish caught local. This got us all excited. She took our drink orders and soon after our meals. Things were good. Until it wasn't. Our reservation was at 6:30p. We still sat at our tables 7:51p with no food yet. Our waitress was very hard to find. My dad was getting very ansy. We had to flag down another waitress who was serving another table of 13 who arrived after us and was almost finished with their food. Food finally came out after 1.5 hours!! We were so disappointed by 1) getting our food in late 2) our food was cold!! My husbands mashed potatoes, cold. My son's gf short rib, cold, my fries, soggy, and my fish sandwich, hard. They offered to replace our food but after waiting that long, and with a dad who needs to get back home, we said no! The manager did offer her apologies and asked what we needed, I honestly couldn't give her an answer. The experience was just awful for all of us!! My brother had to ask 3 times for a box for his leftovers. The bus boy was seriously clueless. To top it off, there was a man in the women's bathroom when my sons' gfs were in there. What is going on here???? Why 2 stars, instead 0? because honestly the Manager, Danielle, tried to do her best to make our experience better. If it wasn't for her and me feeling bad for such an unbelievable disappointing experience. It honestly took me aback. Manager tried her best to make it up with comping desserts. I was told the Brookie was good. She took $100 off our bill and gave 2- $50 gift cards to come back. I honestly don't think I'll be using them. Caution, but you may have a better experience than our family.

Another love our party had the whiskey drink. The appetizer choices were good including: a choice of pea soup or arugula salad. Both were delicious. The main course choices were Seabass, fillet mignon, pasta with shrimp, ravioli. My fillet was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The sea bass was a little bland and the pasta with shrimp was good. They served warm bread with dinner, which was tasty. The dessert choices were: a creamy red velvet cake, and a passionfruit option. Both were good, but I didn't taste the passionfruit coming through. The server Joanne was excellent. She even offered water to go for the concert. Though we didn't get a view window the ambience was still nice

The view of the harbor is pretty and the restaurant is decorated nicely. We then waited about 15 minutes for a server. She was very nice, the food came out timely. The quality of the food did not match up with the pricing. We paid $200 for guacamole, a salad with unchewable steak and a piece of undercooked fish. We did not order any alcoholic beverages, just a soda and an iced tea. There was a wedding going on in a room adjacentto restaurant with people going in and out through the restaurant to use the bathroom. Every time they opened the door the music was blasting and we had to keep stopping our conversation until we could hear again. Not the "nice dinner" we were hoping for. The concert venue looks like it would be cool and the hotel grounds were very pretty.

Prado offers an open seating model with plenty of seating options to include everyone's preferences. They were lit by a mix of artificial and natural light. The music was just loud enough to enjoy, but soft enough to hold a conversation over. At Prado you can order via a QR code or your server. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. To drink I had the Jolly Roger and my husband had the Shipwrecked. Both drinks were visually stunning. The Shipwrecked was decent but the Maker's Mark overpowered the other ingredients. The Jolly Roger was well balanced and refreshing. It brought the tropical island to you with every sip. To eat, I had the bacon cheeseburger without onions and my husband had the steak sandwich. The bacon cheeseburger without onions was perfectly cooked to order (medium rare). I could tell the patty was made to order and was hand formed. The burger was well seasoned and juicy. I will say it was a bit greasy for my liking but the burger was so good it did not deter me one bit. The steak sandwich was cooked well and the balance of meat to veggies was spot on. We were slightly disappointed in the lack of seasoning of the steak. The fries that came with the meals were delicious! They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and beautifully seasoned. We definitely will be visiting Prado at the Airport again when we fly through the San Diego Airport.

The first time I just stopped for a quick pre-flight beer. They have solid choices and I was pleasantly surprised that their hazy was delicious. I believe it was a Sierra Nevada beer. Service was great and kind my first visit. The second time I came here I definitely needed a bite to eat after a packed morning and had a hard time choosing what I wanted, but I went with the Tortilla Soup. I gotta say I definitely chose wrong. The flavor was decent, but the soup was incredibly watery and for some reason I expected there to be chicken but it was literally just broth. Thankfully I paid extra for avocado for some added calories, but paying like $15+ for a bowl of just broth is crazy work. Again, it wasn't awful in taste, but the quality of the dish in general could've been much better. Drink choices were still on point and I sat in the same spot as my previous visit which was comfortable and had an outlet for me to charge my phone. For that soup, 5 stars is kind of high. But the saving grace was the bartender/waiter I had the second time. We had great conversation and he was incredibly nice - I think his name was Peter! Halfway through my beer he slid me a notebook and I asked what it was and he told me "whenever I get a cool vibe from someone I offer up this guest notebook for them to share whatever they wanna share." I read through past entries of people sharing where they were coming from, where they were going. Funny entries, sweet entries, you name it. I felt seriously so honored to be "picked" to share something in this fun little journal that connects a lot of strangers. It just goes to show small acts of kindness like that go a long way. Peter deserves a raise, and Prado will always be my stop because of him (and next time I won't get the soup tbh).

This location is inside the Sheraton Hotel at Harbor Island, SD. My experience went well overall. Upon walking in, you notice how colorful their decoration is and very attractive to the eyes. I have tried their beers in the past; usually when I shop at trader joe's. So, I was familiar with this brewery once I noticed how close it was to me. Staff were attentive and polite to my needs. I was seated by their TV displays and noticed lots of sports going on. They had baseball games and soccer at the same time. I ordered a flight of beer: four types to be exact. I chose two west coast IPA's "slap and tickle" and "slap and tumble" a Hazy IPA "Dictionary Roulette" and a hard seltzer "watermelon lime" All beers and seltzer tasted amazing and refreshing after being out in the sun prior. My favorite out of the batch were the west coast IPA's the tickle and tumble. Once again, if you are indecisive about what beer to pick, get a flight and try a few. 5/5 For my food, I went with their fish sandwich. The presentation was nice; it reminded me of an upgraded Filet-O-fish, respectfully. This one tasted amazing, it was just the right size and was also served with French fries. Food did not take too long to come out either and I enjoyed every single bite. 5/5 In conclusion, this is a nice brewery to visit when visiting harbor island in SD.
