For the vehicle safety inspection, I didn't have to make an appointment.  It was fine to do a walk-in. When I visited Emily's Garage, there was a customer who was pretty upset with the repairs and the cost.  I was able to hear what the customer had to go through but I would not comment on that as I have limited information. From my experience of getting my vehicle inspected, I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to complete the vehicle inspection.  It was done in less than 2 minutes, and I paid over $50 for that service.   For comparison, when I had my vehicle inspected at Les Schwab Tire Centers in Portland, they spent over 20 minutes to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and the cost for the inspection was only $20.   Will I re-visit Emily's Garage for the vehicle inspection?  Probably not but if the state requires me to get the vehicle inspection done, I will probably have no choice as there are not that many shops that offer the ASE-certified inspection.

He didn't have the brake pad for my '09 Miata, but placed an order and got it delivered within 2 hours! Total service time was 3 hours and he gave me a free drink from the cooler for the inconvenience. To top it off, this cost only half what it would have costed if I got my brake pads replaced at the Mazda dealership. If this guy sold gas, he'd put Costco out of business. Highly recommend!

This was in February. They investigated and found a lot of parts they wanted to replace. My car being older (2005) I wasn't totally shocked by this but I asked for assurances that this would fix the problem and that the car would be reliable. They assured me this would take care of the issue. It cost $4200. Less than 300 miles later the car again died on me (intermittent stall) and I brought it back to GP Automotive (They hardly remembered me and misremembered the make and transmission of my car). They called me after a few days, said they were unable to reproduce the issue (so, no fix), and that I could pick the car up. I told them to take pride in their work and to please resolve the issue, reminding them that they had already charged me more than $4,000 and that the car was still not fixed, and that I was well within my rights to leave them a less-than-stellar review. They quickly agreed to redouble their efforts. They had the car from mid-May through to the end of July when they finally decided to replace two additional parts (they could still not confirm what the cause of the issue was) for an another $600. In that time frame I reached out for updates 15 times. They reached out to me three times. Again, less than 200 miles from pickup, the car died on me today. I will never return to GP automotive. You should never bring your vehicle there either. P.S. I would like to personally call out Nick for being extremely unreliable with updates, unrealistic on timeframes, and inaccurate in his quotes.

My car is a 2011 and I have had it for 10 years and only did the minimum to it (oil changes). I dropped my car off to GP Automotive and they did a thorough check of all that was required. I was not happy with the quote (cost) and we worked to figure out the minimum of what needs to be done now! After reviewing what has to be done and what can wait I decided to have all the work done. $4,408.01 was not in my budget but GP and I have a plan to keep my 2011 Chevy Cruze running for the next 5/7 years!!! I am hoping that my plan works out!! Their customer service is incredible as they keep you updated on what is happening and I was able to talk to Eric about the repairs. I'm still not happy about the cost but that is not GP's fault, my car needed all the work and I'm grateful that GP Automotive was there to help out!!!

On a fixed income, I knew it would be a "pretty penny" and going to affect my summer budget. After five quotes in the Everett area, 1 a quick guess, three from looking up the cost from the " book" and one from a place I've used over the past few years who I knew was competent, but also on the high end of the cost scale. Fortunately, the last place, found online, was City Auto Repair. Not only was I impressed to see that it was owned and managed by a woman, but when I met Liz and finished hearing about how her company developed a quote, I was satisfied! She and Craig, the mechanic servicing my car, literally showed me all the old parts and explained exactly why they weren't working anymore and explained step by step how a new conditioner would operate. Then they gave me a quote and it was four hundred dollars less than the lowest of the quotes I had received. Three days later I drove home with working air, though this summer thus far hasn't required much of it yet. Kudos to Liz and Craig for their thorough, personal and very caring work. Kudos!

First it's the clutch and then oh by the way 'we didn't know' but it's your transmission...uh are you NOT a transmission shop? Do you specialize in this area? Okay fine..do it and I'll pay for it. I pick my car up (oh by the way a WEEK after it was promised) and drive it about 3 miles when I realize that my clutch is vibrating to the point where I can't drive it....bring it back and magically it's now the pressure plate. Replace that and I pick up my car and my front end sounds like it's going to fall off...so I GOT SMART and took it to another mechanic where they told me that AAMCO forgot to tighten my sway bar bolts. The day of my appointment I came in and met Evelyn who is FANTASTIC! The technicians, Evelyn, and (I believe) Steve were all friendly, communicative, and transparent. Taking my car into the shop can be intimidating but Evelyn was so friendly and kind, I felt totally confident the crew would take care of me and my car. They thoroughly tested my car after making repairs to be certain there weren't any outstanding issues. I came by here a few days ago to get the oil changed on my wife's Volkswagen golf R. I had to wait…read more10 to 15 minutes due to people in front of me, but the employees were quick with their cars. The employee that talked to me first was named Kenny and he gave me the heads up about the wait, which was cool. I also spoke with another employee that had an unique name and I don't remember how to spell it. But it was a cool name compared to my overly common generic "Mike" name. I told him that I wanted an oil change and because it was on Black Friday I also wanted to take advantage of two of their specials they were running. One was for a fuel treatment and the other was for a rainX windshield treatment. I wanted to get my transmission fluid changed, but they said that they weren't comfortable with the car because it had a DSG transmission and they didn't feel it was safe. But they referred me to go somewhere else in Lynnwood which was helpful. I attached a picture of the business card to this review for the shop they referred me to. The only complaint I have is that they left a dirt grease smudge on my fuel tank door, and the windshield treatment left a bunch of streaks on my windshield that you could only see if the sun hit it a certain way. And so I had to wipe it off with rubbing alcohol. All in all, it was a good visit. The employees were friendly and I appreciate the free fuel treatment and windshield treatment. They have specials so thank you for those Jiffy Lube! And thank you guys for taking care of my vehicle. I'll be back.

Estimate was $204.09. Dated 8/03/2026. Worker order 21. I was surprised. Maybe it was just clogged. I asked another certified Honda mechanic. He told me it was just unplugged. Fix in minutes. $20.00. These guys should do a better job. Not trying to over charge customers.
