We enjoy a good dive bar and Hardtails didn't disappoint! So much that we went back the next day. It's away from the tourist hub bub main street. Tami, the bartender, greeted us as we walked in; made us good drinks. We shared the Outlaw Burger the first day .... it is a feast and Laurie (sp?), the chef, nailed it to perfection. Second day, we shared the new Southwest burger and again, delicious! Both days the chef came out to see how our food was ... very attentive. Met the new owner, Marvin, too; nice guy. Our only complaint was getting charged for little cups of sauce to go with our tots ... sauce should be complimentary. We will definitely roll into this bar again. read more

I went here despite the low rating figuring it wouldn't be that bad. Hoo-boy was I wrong! Service was horrible. I waited at the bar over ten minutes to just be recognized by the bartender who I made eye contact several times. When she served the couple who came in after me, I made a gesture and she quite rudely said she will be right with me. "Right with me" passed long ago. The food seemed to take a very long time to get to me (fish and chips) and the "chips" ( fries) were less than be desired. I had to ask for another beer and had to request my bill. I get it. You most likely cater to the locals, but on a very busy 3-day weekend, do better. read more

Friends and I were in town for several days for a wedding and made this our hangout spot each day/night. There's several video poker machines, a jukebox, pool tables, darts, pinball, cornhole bits, a dance floor and stage, and a karaoke machine (karaoke done on certain days/nights of course such as Fridays or Saturdays). They do some specials such as free pool Sundays and have various drink specials as well. Prices were great and cheap in some regards as well (compared to LA!). Definitely get the dive bar feeling here. The bartenders were great and on it (organized and professional yet fun). There's a few tables in the first room and bar seating, the second area is the pools tables area and the third is larger area with a bunch of tables. They serve food here as well for those who want to indulge in various appetizers burgers, sandwiches, salads and various entrees. read more

Went here to see a Tom Petty cover band, have some drinks and dinner after traveling 30 mins from Bend, but after arriving and checking out the menu we decided against the food. It appeared the regular menu was unavailable and there was a handwritten menu with some Costco-looking microwaveables. Unfortunately the bartender gals were in a terrible mood, and the drinks were just ok. After their obvious annoyance about whatever, I wasn't going to ask for adjustments. The Tom Petty cover band was AWESOME! Made the whole trip worth it, but I'd wait to see them anywhere else next time. The grass lawn out back is great for live music- they've got a fun spot, I just can't see why they'd be so rude to the people paying their salary... haven't met people this rude since we moved from Seattle. read more

Cool place with huge outdoor area. Inside it was kind of cool with plexiglass between the video poker/slot machines. Good service and biker bar kind of place. Good selection of beers on tap. The service seemed ok too. I will come back next time I am in town. read more

My reason for leaving a bad review is because one of the bartenders singled out one friend out of a very large group and unfortunately the only explanation was she was the only one who was not white. The other customers were super fun to interact with, so I really hate having to leave a bad review over one employee but truly it was such a strange and concerning interaction. Since most restaurants in Sisters turn out the lights around 9, Hardtails is the place to go if you're not quite ready to call it a night, or need to grab a late bite to eat. It's probably the most lively of the bars in town, if you're in the mood for a more social atmosphere. They've also got a full menu and minors are allowed until 9pm. Before you start dogging them on their food - come on folks - it's a bar and you're going to get your typical bar food! They have two pool tables and a juke box, and weekly live music and karaoke. There's a fenced yard with tables on the side, if you'd prefer to drink your beverage outdoors or puff on your cancer sticks. There's not much nightlife in Sisters, but HT's is the place to be for the most social and lively bar, after the rest of the town has rolled up the welcome mat for the night. read more

Perfect tater tots and a decent burger. I ordered a burger with bacon and blue cheese sauce and asked them to add lettuce and tomato and a spicy buffalo sauce. Very tasty. I wasn't too optimistic about having lunch here based on the reviews, but this is one place we had not yet tried in Sisters. We weren't greeted when we walked in, so we assumed we should seat ourselves. There are very few tables around the bar area, so I imagine it might be hard to find a seat when the place is busy. It was busy enough for lunch on a blustery Tuesday. This is a genuine dive bar. Locals were sitting around drinking plenty of beer and playing the poker video games. There were other video games AND a cigarette machine. On to the food. We weren't here to eat, not drink. I ordered the fish and chips and W ordered the hamburger. This is now my favorite place in Sisters for fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection and the fries were hand cut, delicious, and they tasted like potatoes. The slaw was also great. W loved his burger and fries. The prices are very reasonable. We will return! read more

Horrible service! Went in this morning to get a beer and burger. The bartender/server was the rudest I've ever seen. We eat out 4-5 times a week and both my parents bartended when I was younger so for me to leave a bad review on a server is unusual. We ordered two different tap beers, which both were flat. When my husband told her something was wrong with the beer she picked it up walked away and never said a word. She made it very clear she was annoyed. Not even a sorry?? This was a poppin' hometown bar and grill. We came in on a Thursday afternoon to play pool and have a few drinks. The bartender was nice and made me a delicious margarita... in a pint glass!! Yes!! Entertainment options are two pool tables, darts, a pinball machine, and a handful of video slot machines. There are also two horseshoe pits in the back outdoor area. We only ate chips and salsa but we were stoked to find out that they serve food until the bar closes. You people are smart! Keep the kitchen open for drunk people? Duh!! They have a new touchtunes jukebox which is fun because if the massive song library and the ability to play songs and pay from your phone when you get the app. There was also two stages, one indoor and one outdoor. The KJ, is very rude, acts like the singer is new at this, walks out when singer is singing, no other patrons listening. Do not stop here if you enjoy singing. Decent dive bar. Not much else to expect from a place like this in a town as small as sisters. Service was good and drinks were fair. A pretty large bar with plenty of room outside and two pool tables inside. I'll definitely be back for a drink next time I'm in sisters. read more
