The only Good fish dinner for the area. Most generally good diner food. Good and friendly people I would recommend if you're driving by.

Good tasting well prepared food. Courteous and friendly staff. Won't break the bank to have a quick meal out.

Turtle Cove Resort & Marina - The remnants of a terrible and inedible lunch

My wife and I went on a little early spring drive and ended up in Fair Haven. We decided on Turtle…read moreCove for lunch... cuz who doesn't love turtles (but not to eat of course.) Okay, so early in the season the place looks a little divey from the parking lot... and when you first walk in... but with a friendly greeting from the server and a seat by the window I was reminded that a lot of my favorite restaurants are dives... Turtle Cove did not disappoint! Our server was delightful and happy to explain a couple of menu to items and chat a bit. The food was absolutely fantastic. Delicious, crispy tots and a huge flame grilled burger that might've made me tear up a bit it was so good. My wife found a veggie burger that she said was pretty great too. Never judge a book by it's cover. Turtle Cove may look a little rough around the edges but the great staff and great food make us look forward to coming back in the summer when the patio is open.

I just visited this establishment again on 7/8 for lunch, and had the polar opposite of my…read moreexperience in April. Unlike in April, when I enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium rare burger and delicious hot crispy sweet potato fries, when I walked in I could see that the kitchen was manned by two young guys instead of Lori, and I sensed that I might be in trouble. Once again I've learned to trust my instincts. I ordered the same meal, the Bacon Bourbon Swiss burger, medium rare, and sweet potato fries. The burger arrived well done, dry as a bone, grey inside and tasteless, while the fries were limp and lifeless. My burger in April also had lots of the delicious bourbon sauce, while I could detect none of that sauce on this one, adding to the dryness of the burger and the most unpleasant experience. My understanding is that the owner has many irons in the fire. My experience would suggest that he has perhaps too many irons, as there appears to be no one there to ensure that standards are upheld to enable consistent quality. I arrived highly anticipating another great dining experience, and left hungry and severely disappointed. So, next year when I go fishing and go there for lunch or dinner if I see Lori in the kitchen I will stay and eat, but if there's anyone else I'll leave and get a sandwich at the Bayside convenience store. Our server was kind enough to remove my meal from our bill, was very sympathetic and understanding and was generously tipped because of it, the only reason why I gave two stars.

I was low key having a rough time after working so late but this incredible meal turned things around: the strawberry salad was so fresh and well-balanced and I simply couldn't NOT order something from their meat case in the front, which offers local cuts. I got the tenderloin medium rare with broccolini and mashed potatoes. They did something TRULY special here. Goat cheeseinthemash. Or something. Like a blue cheese that was a goat cheese? Idk but it was truly genius. I haven't stopped thinking about it. My waitress was also tending the bar and did an amazing job, I felt so well looked after and the bar patrons stayed entertained. I only saw her visiting the various tables so props for handling that many people solo! I kinda can't wait to come back up here for work if it means I get to visit this place when I mentioned I planned to go to sackett's table for dinner, my customer immediately knew I was in for a great time. When you have such a good rep with locals and visitors, it's bc you're doing something right.

Our nar neighbor told us to get the chicken strips. They were so juicy that even the next morning the microwave didnt ruin them. Crispy, crunchy, savory. Never thought id crave a chicken tender but hey, what I know?! Nothing was regular bar food. The menu might seem like just another pub with frozen food to keep you drinking beer, but the owner wont serve anything he doesnt love. Everyone we talked to at the bar were locals and we're both a little sad some tourists found it but also they were too proud that this was their place and told us all their favorite menu items. Truly enjoyed our time and taste buds here.

My uncles and aunts who live nearby had never heard of it but we decided to give it a shot. Upon arriving, the small parking lot area was full. Uh oh. Inside, the place was pretty small, say approximately 10 tables(???) Every table was filled except one. The waitress asked if we had a reservation and we said no. She looked frazzled. We asked about sitting outside and she said we could BUT we probably wouldn't get good service. (It appeared there were only 2 waitresses doing it all.) So we waited the 15 min or so to get a table inside... Unfortunately the biggest negative was HOW LOUD IT WAS SITTING INSIDE. I'm using caps because we HAD TO YELL TO TALK TO ONE ANOTHER. It was so loud, it was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I remember wincing when a table would laugh because it was SO DANG PIERCING LOUD. Nonetheless, the food was good. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and tots. Others in my party got a chicken Philly, French dip, a salad and a beef tip special. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The server was good. Friendly, attentive despite having to MANY tables. Atmosphere: pretty small footprint/dining area. Taxidermy on the walls, numerous TVs. VERY LOUD. All in all, good food, good service but WAY too loud for us.
