I just visited this establishment again on 7/8 for lunch, and had the polar opposite of my experience in April. Unlike in April, when I enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium rare burger and delicious hot crispy sweet potato fries, when I walked in I could see that the kitchen was manned by two young guys instead of Lori, and I sensed that I might be in trouble. Once again I've learned to trust my instincts. I ordered the same meal, the Bacon Bourbon Swiss burger, medium rare, and sweet potato fries. The burger arrived well done, dry as a bone, grey inside and tasteless, while the fries were limp and lifeless. My burger in April also had lots of the delicious bourbon sauce, while I could detect none of that sauce on this one, adding to the dryness of the burger and the most unpleasant experience. My understanding is that the owner has many irons in the fire. My experience would suggest that he has perhaps too many irons, as there appears to be no one there to ensure that standards are upheld to enable consistent quality. I arrived highly anticipating another great dining experience, and left hungry and severely disappointed. So, next year when I go fishing and go there for lunch or dinner if I see Lori in the kitchen I will stay and eat, but if there's anyone else I'll leave and get a sandwich at the Bayside convenience store. Our server was kind enough to remove my meal from our bill, was very sympathetic and understanding and was generously tipped because of it, the only reason why I gave two stars. read more

We ordered chicken wings only 5b, the raspberry steak salad it was the size of side salad ($18.50) which had maybe 3 oz of steak, and the margarita flatbread ice cold. We waited 40 minutes, the food arrived cold, and the quality was terrible. Stay away. read more

My wife and I went on a little early spring drive and ended up in Fair Haven. We decided on Turtle Cove for lunch... cuz who doesn't love turtles (but not to eat of course.) Okay, so early in the season the place looks a little divey from the parking lot... and when you first walk in... but with a friendly greeting from the server and a seat by the window I was reminded that a lot of my favorite restaurants are dives... Turtle Cove did not disappoint! Our server was delightful and happy to explain a couple of menu to items and chat a bit. The food was absolutely fantastic. Delicious, crispy tots and a huge flame grilled burger that might've made me tear up a bit it was so good. My wife found a veggie burger that she said was pretty great too. Never judge a book by it's cover. Turtle Cove may look a little rough around the edges but the great staff and great food make us look forward to coming back in the summer when the patio is open. read more

When they're on point, everything is very good. From the food to the service, everything is outstanding. The trouble is consistency. It tends to be hit or miss on whether you're going to catch them on one of their good days or not. We can usually tell when it's going to be a bad day immediately by the friendliness of the server. You can never go wrong with their haddock dinner or sandwich. The fish tastes fresh and they always give you a generous portion. The location is perfect for outdoor dining in Fair Haven so it makes it worth the gamble. read more

On the water in the bay with Marina so cool and relaxing vibe on the deck lots of seating. Inside has tables as well but beautiful day we headed outside on a late August Sunday afternoon. Everyone greeted us along the way and waitress acknowledged us right away making us feel welcomed and happy to have her as our server. Such a positive attitude happy to do what she does gal she took our drink orders told us the specials and checked periodically as we decided what we wanted. As for the drinks they were perfectly made, fun options, good, and reasonably priced. I ordered the triple decker smash burger with onion ring bacon cheddar cheese pickle pieces and special sauce on a brioche style bun. So yum and filling with chips I made it through half and gave up. My lunch pal got the chicken cordon and on and on bleu. Wow what a Sammy! Whole slice of Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese slice and a hand breaded chicken she too could not finish with the seasoned and crispy fries unlike the usual found in CNY with a side of horseradish sauce cuz that's how she rolls. I was surprised the wine and slushee offerings were Hazlit from Seneca Lake only with none from Colloca literally next door but we liked the specialty drinks we ordered, will definitely return and are thinking a mini getaway at one of the cabins some time. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and a nice vibe including live music. It's unfortunate that shortly after we were seated a neighbor from the Marina office across the street came to our table and let us know we had to move our car out of his lot. As we were processing his request he snarkely asks us if we are upset that he asked us to move. We were just trying to process his request and wondering how he knew knew to walk thru the restaurant onto the back deck up to our table. Aside from this rude neighbor we enjoyed our meal and found this quaint little restaurant to be worth the hassle we had to go thru. The only negative is there is not ample parking here. read more

The food was not at all what we expected. The baked beans had ground beef and multiple colors of beans which we found very strange. The view was nice but close to half the meal featured loud boat noises. The service was pretty good and they had outdoor dining and reasonable social distancing for the pandemic. read more

Genuinely I wanted to like this place, it's cute and one of our party members recommended it. 3 of us get there around 3:30, Not busy at all. We are informed that they have no haddock, no big deal at all. Their truck wasn't in yet. So I order nachos, our table also orders an order of wings and a chicken sandwich with a couple of hard ciders on tap. The food comes out, my nachos are unfortunately pretty cold when it comes to the cheese sauce, but I'm not picky. When I ordered, I specifically asked if it came with jalapenos and the waitress says "Yeah, big ones" and I go "Oh great, I love jalapenos. Perfect." My Nachos had 1 jalapeno stem. My boyfriend asked for no tomato and out comes his sandwich with a tomato which he simply just took off, but he did indeed ask for no tomato. The wings our 3rd party member had were fantastic! Highly recommend the wings. If you come here. I then order three things to-go. Chicken Caesar Salad (I am informed that they don't have parm cheese, not a big deal, I'm taking it home and I have parm at home.) but I ask to add onions to the salad, a Reuben meal, and then also a side of mac and cheese. We get the take out orders, get home, no normal side of fries with the Reuben instead the mac and cheese is in its place. Truly this just might have been a misunderstanding. BUT THEN, I open my salad and there are no onions. Like... C'mon guys. It's as if they were taking a stand against "The customer is always right" or their chef just straight up ignored any variations to the orders he is making. Any variation we asked for was not met, which was a shame and the number of times it happened was ridiculous. Mac and Cheese is some of the best I've ever had though. Overall: Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, sub-par food, bad service. I'm happy that other people had great experiences, but I can't say I'll be back. read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by the managers of the bed and breakfast I was staying in. We liked it so much, we ate dinner there two nights in a row. Sitting on the deck, watching the sun set, listening to the waves... it was awesome. The food was delicious. I had the Fisherman's Platter, which was a HUGE broiled haddock filet with shrimp and scallops. I would post a picture, but it was so good, I ate it before I even thought about getting the camera out. The service was great and the drink were tasty. Went there on a Saturday evening for dinner with four adults and two children. We all had a drink and put our order in. The poor girl was waiting tables and bar tending at the same time. She never put in our appetizers. When we got our meal after about a fortyfive minute wait everyone's French fries were room temperature and we paid an up charge for them. My grandsons chicken tenders were burnt. Our burgers that were ordered med. and med.rare were well done. Didn't say anything because we had another engagement and didn't want to wait any longer. This was my second bad meal there and won't be back for strike three. They just announced that they will be open year round. I'd be surprised if they don't close for good soon as they need to be managed a lot better. Won't be going back for dinner ever again. read more
