Classic old school bar room... Not fancy but welcoming

My wife and I went on a little early spring drive and ended up in Fair Haven. We decided on Turtle Cove for lunch... cuz who doesn't love turtles (but not to eat of course.) Okay, so early in the season the place looks a little divey from the parking lot... and when you first walk in... but with a friendly greeting from the server and a seat by the window I was reminded that a lot of my favorite restaurants are dives... Turtle Cove did not disappoint! Our server was delightful and happy to explain a couple of menu to items and chat a bit. The food was absolutely fantastic. Delicious, crispy tots and a huge flame grilled burger that might've made me tear up a bit it was so good. My wife found a veggie burger that she said was pretty great too. Never judge a book by it's cover. Turtle Cove may look a little rough around the edges but the great staff and great food make us look forward to coming back in the summer when the patio is open.

    Scallops. Delicious

Everyone enjoyed the beautiful outdoor table with the surprise appearance of the Swan family. Our food and drink selections were served with warm hospitality and sincere attention . We had a delicious and delightful experience .

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and a nice vibe including live music. It's unfortunate that shortly after we were seated a neighbor from the Marina office across the street came to our table and let us know we had to move our car out of his lot. As we were processing his request he snarkely asks us if we are upset that he asked us to move. We were just trying to process his request and wondering how he knew knew to walk thru the restaurant onto the back deck up to our table. Aside from this rude neighbor we enjoyed our meal and found this quaint little restaurant to be worth the hassle we had to go thru. The only negative is there is not ample parking here.

    Bringing friends together.

Nice setting and friendly service. Food was not. Could be we were there in late September and close to the end of the season.

Foods great, you can sit inside or outside on the deck by the water. Staff is friendly and service is usually pretty quick

Amazing fish everytime! It's my favorite on the menu. Not overly breaded like some places

Love the place. Friendly, great fish and chicken wings plus only establishment with Myers Rum in Fair Haven!

We arrived to a busy atmosphere that quieted down throughout the night. We started with cocktails which were strong and delicious. The brussel sprout appetizer was to die for, who knew that brussel sprouts go well with blue cheese! I ordered the salmon dish which was incredible. My friend enjoyed the Greek chicken dish. We were disappointed we didn't have enough room for dessert so we'll just have to come back! Other notes: the service was friendly and there was extra parking across the street if necessary. I can't wait to be back to try their specials and seasonal menus

I read up on the menu and discovered they offered lamb chops which is one of my absolute favourites. A taste of home for me! Friendly and efficient staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back. Oh well, you live and learn...

There was live music in the back room, so we opted for a booth in the front room so we could have quiet dinner conversation. Alisha was great. She explained the menu, the Mac & cheese, and the dairy bar in the adjacent bldg. We ordered dinner and it was out quickly. Hubby had the entree of brisket & pulled pork with a side of veggies and the Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese is so, so good. We ordered some to take home for my son! My balsamic chicken entree was delicious - I loved the side of carrots & zucchini- very fresh & unique! Great dinner, no hesitation to come back here. And, we did have to wander over to the dairy bar and check out the ice cream too! On the way, we noticed lots of outdoor seating and maybe a little stage too. There is live music regularly! Hubby got a shake & I had a dish of hard ice cream. It hit the spot! Thanks so much!
