Took the long drive from Kailua to the only store on da Island that had the adapter I needed for my outdoor faucet. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the clean organized layout of the store and the great Aloha vibes from the employees here. "Claire" was the definitive 5-Star Standout on this visit! Her relentless search for the parts I needed for my sprinkler repair was way above and beyond my expectations. I was about to give up when she urged me to hold on, and came through with the successful resolution to my problem. I also roamed the pristine isles of this hardware haven and also found a modern kink resistant modern hose and a few planter boxes to finish up my honey over do list! At check out, I received a military discount as a veteran and that extra Aloha that made me feel like a valued customer! Hardware Hawaii lived up to " Customer First!" Five Fabulous Stars for *Service *Selection *Extra Effort *Savings & * Da Kine of Aloha that puts Customer's First!

Looking to replace your framed window screens? Well, look no further as I would highly recommend the screen shop at Hardware Hawaii Kapolei. They are highly recommended for your replacement framed window screen needs. Simply take your measurements before calling Clint to place your order. He'll provide you an estimated timeframe for pickup and cost to produce. Clint knows his stuff when it comes to making screens so if you have any questions... Just ask. One great thing about this shop is they use quality materials. Not the DYI kits you find at some hardware stores. Clint uses heavy-duty hardware to withstand Hawaii's harsh environment. Their cost is fairly reasonable, especially if you're needing to replace a bunch of framed window screens.

2020.05.27 Just got quoted $180 per screen door. Material and design look a lot better then the doors I currently have. Honestly I was expecting around $100 a door. I'll give this a chance. Let's see if the screen shop stick with that cost overall. Seems very steep if you ask me but I'm sure an itemized receipt of the work will explain the cost. If not I'll just build them myself and drop the rating to 1 for the store. Mainly because I avoid Hardware Hawaii, there is no incentive. They are always the more expensive option on island. Honestly I don't know who comes here first when looking for building material. Home Depot, City Mill, Ace, and Lowe's always seem better priced discounts or not. Perhaps they will surprise me. DIYers shop around always.

$24.99 generic 40 oz. Hydroflasks. Exactly the same as the brand label Hydroflasks. Sorry, heart sticker not included lol.

City Mill is my hardware store of choice! Now don't get me wrong..........I do shop at Home Depot & Lowes at times when I am looking for something that City Mill doesn't carry, or if I am on da cheap where I wanna save a few bucks! Lol! I was working in Ewa Beach this past week, and I remembered I needed to buy something, as I was fixing something on our garage. Luckily, City Mill was in the same shopping complex on where I was working, so I decided to pop on in to check it out! Located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center, you'll find City Mill towards the opposite end of the mall (from Safeway) as the store is just next door from Petco. Like any hardware store, you'll probably find whatever you need here for home improvement, and I even saw that they carried some pet supply items, too! Got what I came here for, and I even noticed their prices for the item I was looking for was even cheaper (lower) than Home Depot, or Walmart! Stephanie was courteous and efficiently handled my request after matching the model numbers to ensure the product was the same. I also mentioned Lowe's was advertising a Lowe's gift card for online orders, so she verified and took care of that, too; and she advised me to wait for notification when my order was ready for pick up after making payment. Received notification on 1/20, and went the next day. Checked in on the app as I waited in the Customer Service line; and Kimmie, in Fulfillment, came forward a short time later with the item in a cart ready for me to take. I told her about my concern that I might have been charged twice since early that morning, I saw a charge come through again. Exceptional customer service from her with my item and answering my question. After putting the item in my vehicle, I remembered the bath fan was now on sale, so decided to check if I could get the lower sale price. The Customer Service representative who helped me (unfortunately, I didn't get her name) was able to give me the lower price, and the refund was reflected back on my card later that day. I also checked my credit card transactions and noticed a credit negating the double charge. Impressed with customer service on 1/14 and 1/21 at the Waipahu Lowe's store. Mahalo to the team for a positive experience!

We bought it 1 week ago and figured exchanging it due to defects should not be a problem. We brought the item back at went to returns and exchanges customer service. We were greeted and told it would be faster if we take ourselves and grab the new item then come back to do the exchange. We did that, then were told at the register by the same worker, that the item was not eligible for an exchange due to it not being purchased and returned within 48 HOURS. We bought it 1 week ago, brought it back in original packaging and with the receipt. What's the issue?? She called her manager MARIA to assist and possible get an override. We waited some time for MARIA to show up, and at this point we had a long line behind us. When MARIA showed up, she disregarded the customer in line including myself and husband. She spoke very disrespectfully to the other worker and asked if she could use a register. Which then she logged on and said "what's wrong with this one" in a rude tone. She did not help assist, and visibly looked like she hated her job and did not want to be there. In my opinion? You can leave sis. Don't show up to work in customer service everyday if you obviously hate your job. We were told we need to go through the manufacturer themselves and get the "approval" before we can come back and get our item reissued. This is bullshit lol and the workers here are a legitimate joke. For future customers? I would stick to city mill and Home Depot. You'll get top of the line service at other companies with the same quality of product.

The other hardware stores did not carry Sherwin-Williams paint and I found out that there was a S-W Paint Store in Kapolei. This store is tucked away in the Kalaeloa Industrial Center of Kapolei and next to a Bikram Yoga Studio. All I had were the names of the colors and was easily overwhelmed trying to find the particular paint swatch. I figured it would be easier to ask CASEY (the only employee in the store at that time) to help me find it. He took down the names and quickly tracked them down and gave me the paint "swatches" in a very quick manner! No waiting at all! He was so thorough and courteous! I even had him looking for a color that I was certain was a Sherwin-Williams brand only to find out that it was a Benjamin Moore product. When asking about how effective those apps are that give you an idea of how a color will look in your room is he informed me that colors change throughout the day, depending on how the sun or lack of it hits a room and hence, that app is probably not the best way to decide on a paint color. He suggested buying the smallest size paint and having them tint it to my specifics (the paint was only $7-8.00 a can) and then applying that color onto the wall in a medium size patch and see how I liked it at different times of the day. Great advice!! I made the "mistake" of painting a wall in my house three years ago without a sample paint and I haven't been happy with it since then. Hubby isn't thrilled either since I'm asking him to re-paint that wall again. Either that or go with one of Sherwin-Williams's preferred contractors (listed in their showroom). Either way, I'm pretty sure I've narrowed down my color choice down to 3-4 colors and I'm a ba-zillion percent sure that THAT is the right color. Again, SUPER GREAT customer service from Casey!!
