There was a fishing reel that I wanted and it appeared Kailua store sold the last one so I decided to head out to Kapolei the next day. There was a sales associate named Chels who greeted us as we entered the store and helped us. When she could not find the reel because they were all sold out, she asked Kiana to help us. Kiana told me that they do not have any but will check Kailua. I told Kiana that I was there yesterday and they don't have any. Kiana called Kailua and asked them to do a visual and Kailua found that there were 3. Kiana asked Kailua store to hold one for me to pick up. I went to Kailua and bought 2 reels when I was intending to buy only one. I also bought a folding cot at the Kapolei store. When I picked up my reels at customer service in Kailua, I saw that they had a zippo lighter for sale. My son told me his zippo lighter required a special lighter fluid. The nice women in customer service told me it doesn't really have to be Zippo and I could use Ronson so I bought a can of Ronson and a torch lighter at Customer Service. I am leaving this review because of the excellent customer service at both stores and the great hardworking employees that go out of their way to help you. They are professional, knowledgable, and friendly. Kiana and Chels really made me happy and this review is mainly for them and the customer sevice sales associates in customer service at the Kailua Store.

We have been going to Rainbow State Paint for years! We just found out that not only did they move their location to Aiea, but they also were purchased by City Mill (a long-time locally owned family business). Still carrying all the Benjamin Moore paints that we have come to trust for the durability. You pay a little more, but you get what you pay for. Hopefully the paint job will last for many, many more years! Probably the kids will be taking care of the next paint job in the future. The staff has been there for years and are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The store has everything you need for all your painting needs.

I took my two cans of paint that was approximately 4 years old. The lid was very rusty. They sell replacement cans for approximately $7 each, but I took two large plastic containers with lids. I paid for two strainers approximately $2+ each since I had different color paints. Galen strained the paints from the old cans to the containers I took in, made replacement labels with the original information to adhere to the containers. I would definitely go back to this location for my painting needs. I've been using Sherwin Williams for over 6 years and with my phone number Galen could locate my purchase history, including while I was living on the mainland. We even had the original Sherwin-Williams paint can with the specs on it. You'd think that would make things simple. You would be wrong. Home Depot tried several times. To their credit, they at least noticed the color was drying wrong. But after enough "close enough" attempts to make me question my sanity and my walls, I finally went to the Sherwin-Williams on King Street. That's where I met a younger Polynesian guy with an incredible afro and the energy level of someone who actually enjoys helping people, which frankly feels rare these days. This guy spent OVER TWO HOURS trying to get the match correct. Testing, adjusting, remixing, checking the dry-down, trying again. At one point he literally told me, "I'm still not happy with it, give me a little more time." Which is exactly what you want to hear from someone matching paint, and not from your surgeon or airline pilot. The best part is I wasn't even buying some massive contractor order. I needed ONE quart. One. Tiny. Quart. And he still treated it like a mission of national importance. Eventually, he nailed it. But honestly, the thing that stood out most wasn't just the paint match. It was the attitude. The guy was smiling the entire time. Super upbeat, super patient, never once acted annoyed. And weirdly enough, everyone else there seemed genuinely cheerful too. Management included. The whole store felt relaxed and positive, which was especially noticeable after dealing with the emotional support zombies at their auto paint counterpart store recently. Sherwin-Williams (on King Street), seriously: you've got a keeper. Give that guy a raise, a promotion, or at minimum his own reserved parking spot. Excellent service. Excellent effort. And finally, walls that don't look like they were patched using leftovers from three different dimensions.

Then we looked in the clearance section and it wasn't there. And then we looked in the last known place on her zebra where it was last and the date said Dec 28z The inventory was wrong and it said Negative two but in my app it said six in stock. So I really drove there for nothing. I just wanted to praise Makaylah on her customer sevice and attitude even though I walked out empty handed. Disappointed on the accuracy of the app.

I first contacted the company for an estimate. The owner, Bryson, responded quickly and within a few days, he came in person to give a free estimate. He was thoughtful to suggest ways to keep the cost down. His experience was apparent when he detected seemingly imperceptible differences in the undertones of white paint in different rooms. When I had follow up questions or any question, he was a responsive, timely, and good communicator. I had him repaint 2 bedrooms because the walls had been heavily marked with black streaks. I also had him paint a wall behind a toilet, a strip of wall in a stairwell, and a bright blue powder room which I had him change to white. I also needed him to patch holes caused by a metal rack screwed into a bathroom wall and a chain lock screwed inside a bedroom. He did the job quickly and thoroughly. Everything Bryson painted was beautifully done and looked brand new. You would never have guessed the bright blue powder room he painted white could ever have been anything but white. I will be using this company for all my future painting needs.

Located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center, you'll find City Mill towards the opposite end of the mall (from Safeway) as the store is just next door from Petco. Like any hardware store, you'll probably find whatever you need here for home improvement, and I even saw that they carried some pet supply items, too!
