Unfortunately a lot of the games here have seen better days, and while it's a bit dank in here, it was fun enough that we've gone two years in a row. It's still cash only after all these years, so know that going into it. We lucked into a surprise happy hour and basically got half off our entire bill which was welcome! Staff was friendly and each time they saw my daughter's bday crown, they offered a piece of cake and this year a cookie. But back to the games, my daughter actually fixed their broken skee ball game. None of the balls were coming out and they told us it hadn't been serviced by the third party company in some time. She climbed up there, tossed a ball in hard, and it jarred everything loose. It was still working a year later so that's good. Was bummed to see the shuffleboard table gone, that's my personal favorite of all of them. The burgers still hold up and are delicious. Shrinkflation hit the fries though, I could count how many we got on two hands. Sounds like they do a lot of fun things like trivia night and karaoke, so worth looking into if that's your thing. We showed up around 2pm on a Friday and the place was relatively empty, with the exception of a gentleman setting up karaoke for the evening's festivities. You order food and drinks at the bar, and can eat at any of the first come, first serve tables throughout the bar or gaming areas. We both opted for the original classic, the Flea Market Burger, a 10 oz. ground chuck patty from the local market (McGonigle's). I opted for an ice tea, while my girlfriend ordered a Diet Dr. Pepper. Within ten minutes, my name was shouted in the amplified megaphone near the pick up window. The burgers are prepared however you wish (Medium), with the condiment station fully loaded and ready to go near the pickup window. The burger was pretty tasty. Quite large and cooked to perfection. Some good seasoning as well. The crinkle cut fries were frozen, nothing too spectacular here. I did like that the super friendly bartender gave me an individual pitcher of ice tea to refill as needed, but alas, not for the sodas. However, she did come out to check on us and offered refills. The space itself is like a flashback in time. The bar itself has a couple of TVs but the main draw is the amount of varied games and attractions here. About a dozen pinball machines, foosball, shuffleboard, pop a shot basketball, video games, pool, Photo Booth, punching bags, you name it. The space is large and has lots of little nooks and crannies filled with tables and chairs, TVs and games. The bathrooms could definitely use some work as they were a bit dirty when we were there. Parking can be difficult on the surrounding streets, especially during peak hours, but you should be able to snag something within walking distance. Tons of daily specials as well. Definitely a great burger and experience, but in a city with so much great food (especially in the smoked meats department), you have other options. Glad to try a piece of local Kansas City culinary history.

Service has always been really good, the rotating beer taps always have something new to try, and the food is consistently top notch. Opting for anything other than a burger should be illegal, but some folks swear by the fried fish. All of the appetizers are high quality, though slow your roll on the fried shrooms or you'll burn your mouth. The "My girlfriend isn't hungry" is more than a cute suggestion... it's basically a perfect kids meal or a great add on if you're a bodybuilder.
