Have been here twice and both times the freshness of my fried entrees did not disappoint. Something about fresh cut crinkle fries with ketchup is also soul satisfying. Even on a weekday for lunch it was a little loud and parking can be an adventure since I think someone who wasn't really a parking attendant tried to get us to pay him. I can tell you NOW, the service is terrible here like so bad BUT the food NEVER DISAPPOINTS, I MEAN NEVER! Since they been back open (April 2026), I've been 4 times on different days of the week and times, THE SERVICE IS NEVER GOOD . They need Vinny Watson from V12 in that bihhh to get the service together because the food is the only thing good going for them right now. The hookah is $45, should be $30 but not my business to run. The servers sit around in the front and look at each other while guests are in need of stuff. I'm telling you again, the service is bad! I had a great time during my Friday night visit to Harold's Chicken & Ice Bar on Edgewood before they temporarily closed for renovations. Our group of five found parking right across the street for $20, which made getting to the restaurant super convenient. Security at the door was checking bags and patting down men, which made me feel extra safe while dining--definitely a plus in a busy nightlife area. Once inside, we easily found our friends on the back patio, which turned out to be the perfect spot. The music and DJ were a whole vibe, but I'm glad we sat outside because the music inside was blasting--great for a party atmosphere but not ideal for conversation. Now for the food & drinks: Around the table we all tried the Shrimp & Chicken Baskets with fresh crinkle fries - Fresh, crispy, and seasoned just right! Definitely the highlight of the night. The cocktails - Not my favorite, but they were strong, so if that's your thing, you'll be good! I placed a to-go order. Food: Order a chicken wing dinner and I am paying for it this morning in the worse way! The chicken tasted exactly like another regular fast food restaurant's recipe, so the price did not make any sense, and my request for lemon pepper was ignored. I went here with friends after the Mardi Gras crawl for a decent meal. When we walked in, the entire establishment was packed and the music was playing. We ended up sitting out back on the patio which wasn't the best as it was cold and the heat lamps weren't working that well (after they turned them on). Our group of 8 placed our orders with the waiter. It took some time for the food to come out as it was 8 meals. But when the meals came out, one was forgotten. Omg! I had so much fun here. If you want a chill, fun, down to earth, black vibe....this is the place. I mean, I got 5 dollar Long Island (that was super strong and yummy) at midnight!
