My husband and I used to come here for date nights before having kids! The cocktails were mixed well and tasted like a well blended juice! Service was great too with a very chill vibe! Five years later, I finally stopped by here again but with my little sister this time. I wanted her to try my favorite cocktail bar. Of course, SF made it very difficult to find parking in downtown with all those limited yellow markings and toll away streets. Very annoying! We happened to come by here last month when they were celebrating Asian Heritage Awareness. A lot of their specialities that night were made with pandan! The cocktails were still good but stronger alcohol taste than I remembered. It was packed too and very dim on the inside. They also have an outdoor patio for customers to chill now! P.C.H was ranked #41 on North America's 50 Best Bars list for 2026, so of course we had to check it out while in SF. We arrived around 10:35pm and there was a line that was not moving. Once it was 11pm, the bouncer started to let everybody in, so I'm guessing they only let people inside every 30 minutes to prevent overcrowding, even though once we got in it wasn't that crowded and there was plenty of open space outside too. Having to wait only gave us about an hour inside. It says they close at 12am and that is exactly when they close--you can't stay any longer than that. I'm used to bars typically staying open about 30 minutes to an hour after the listed closing time to allow customers inside to finish up. As soon as 12am hits, the bouncer starts going around and constantly telling you to hurry it up because they are closed now. The service was also pretty slow, which did not give us much time at all to sip and enjoy the drinks before they closed. We started off ordering two drinks, then our waiter came back about 10 minutes later and asked for last call so we ordered another one (this was before our two drinks even came out yet). After about 15 minutes, we got all three drinks and the waiter apologized and said he didn't charge us for the third drink since it took so long. This gave us only about 10-15 minutes to finish our drinks before we started to get told we had to leave. At least my drink (apple bottom beets) was good and I was able to chug it, but I would rather be able to take my time and enjoy a drink. Their menu is huge, and they have a wide selection of different cocktails categorized under which type of liquor is used (rum, agave, brandy). The ambiance is dark and romantic. read more

My wife & I visited SF for the 1st time & stayed at Hotel Emblem next door. We noticed so many people coming in to this place we decided to look it up & see what the fuss was about. Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service. Caveat: This review update is ONLY for the Miracle at P.C.H. holiday pop-up. I recently stopped by during the Miracle at P.C.H. holiday pop-up on Christmas Eve. There was quite a long line of people waiting to get in, but it moved relatively fast. There was a guy collecting a $10 cover fee per person via cash or Venmo, presumably to offset the cost of decorations and specialty ingredients for their holiday menu. The cover charge is exclusive to the holiday pop-up and does not apply during regular business hours during non-holiday times. Once we got inside, we saw how packed the bar was. There were no available tables or bar seats and barely any room to even stand. We were handed their exclusive holiday menus (their regular menu is unavailable during the EOY holidays), and eventually someone came by where we were standing to take our order. Since we only planned to get one drink each, I informed him while checking out that I'd close the tab. Each holiday cocktail is $20 plus fees and tax, so after accounting for fees, tax, tip, and the original cover charge, our two drinks cost in total over $70! $70+ for two drinks is absolutely ridiculous, especially considering that my drink was at least 75% ice, so I basically paid for frozen water. I came to P.C.H. because I genuinely love this bar and their unique, delicious drinks during normal operations, but their holiday pop-up is the complete opposite of a "miracle". It's an expensive, chaotic disaster. I would not have come had I known for sure their regular menu would be unavailable. Their holiday drinks don't do the bar justice. I will never come to P.C.H. again during the holiday season. It was an unfortunate lesson learned the hard way, but once is enough. I also want to note I don't think any less of the bar or its employees, who are exceptionally professional and friendly, but the burden of putting on this holiday spectacle undoubtedly puts extra stress and pressure on them. There are absolutely no net benefits to staff and patrons from this annual holiday extravaganza. read more

One of the best cocktail bars in the city. Every drink is thoughtfully and carefully crafted, not just mixed and poured. Yes, it is on the pricier side at around $20 per cocktail, but imo it feels justified given the creativity, quality, and overall experience. Coming here around the holiday season is especially magical. The entire place is transformed and decked out in Christmas decorations with from wrapped presents scattered throughout to festive details around every corner.. even the bathroom has its own Mariah Carey theme, with her face plastered all over the walls all while blasting "all I want for Christmas is you" on loop. All the cocktails lean into the holiday spirit too, drinks come in cute Santa mugs, or dinosaurs dressed like santa, they even had a Hanukkah themed glass which was a really nice and thoughtful touch. Everything felt playful and somehow still polished. The service was also great, esp since how packed the place was. each group had a dedicated server who kept the drinks coming quickly . What a hidden gem this place is. Nestled next to our hotel we walked by this unassuming cocktail bar. Once I saw the drink menu, I knew we had to try it. Once you walk in, the vibe instantly hits. Dim lighting, chill atmosphere, and great music. Super relaxing, gives speakeasy vibes. We sat at a small table near the bar (you can seat yourself), and I loved that they take your order at the table. No crowding around the bar, which is a huge plus. We both ordered the Pornstar Martini, which comes with a shot of dry wine on the side that you can use to either to mix in if the drink's too sweet or sip on separately. Honestly, the drink was so good we just kept ordering more and that ended up being our drink of choice for the rest of the night. Service was excellent. Our server checked on us often, super attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about giving everyone a great experience. Also, minor detail but they would frequently check the restroom to make sure it was clean and that's something I really appreciate especially since it was a one stall restroom. Oh how nice it is to be in San Francisco and see its recovery post-COVID. The holidays this 2025 finally made me hopeful and seeing PCH during their holiday/Christmas popup reaffirmed that. Came on a Saturday night, saw the line and decided to walk around. The area isn't ideal and there wasn't much around, but we circled back and so glad we did! Was visually striking from the outside with the lights and ornaments, but how beautiful on the inside. After paying a $10 cover/person (cash/venmo ok), we walked in and were immediately greeted by a waiter who handed us a menu. Service was great, he circled back around and after ordering gave us free will to walk around and told us he would find us with our drinks, which he did. All the drinks are $20 with a few gifts like holiday PCH shotglasses on the menu too. Quite pricey, given that for the two of us, a drink each came out to be $70 +tax/tip, but I figured it was to cover all the decor. I ordered the coconut hot chocolate since it was a hot rum drink and I love getting unique drinks that I can't find elsewhere. Was really yummy! Overall, just a great vibe, saw a lot of corporate personalities even dressed up! Four of us stoped by before a concert around 8pm on a Saturday. It was lively but we were able to walk in and grab a table right away. There are servers so you don't have to go up to the bar to order which I appreciated since it prevented lines. All cocktails are $20. I know this is normal for SF but it's definitely more than I usually spend on a drink. I did end up loving what I ordered though (Silky Street - Song Gin, amaro, jackfruit-coconut cream, sudachi, longan, pandan) and would come back just for this drink! After a dinner with coworkers, we all decided to pop into Pacific Cocktail Haven. After walking in, I knew this was my kind of vibe. The lighting, the music, the bar all caught my attention. I then realized PCH had been recognized as one of the best bars in the world. There is clearly a reason why. I ordered my go-to cocktail - a dirty martini- which came with a sidecar. It was divine. The bar was pretty busy and our large group arrived close to last call. They were friendly and while the bar was slammed, our server (I think Luis) kept us updated on the status of our drinks. It was cranberry-forward, smooth, and beautifully done -- a great elevated take on a classic.
