Looking for a brunch place and they have good reviews. Checked in and had about a 20-minute wait. Not bad. Deb had the quiche. Said it was one of the best she has had. It tasted good to me as well. I had the Rueben Benedict. Delicious. If you like Rueben's, you love this. Fries needed work though. I like crispy fries. Overall, a pretty solid spot for a brunch and the prices are reasonable.
The last time we stayed at Oceans we came across this place as we were leaving and decided the next time we stayed we were gonna go. That brings us to today. We had a 1030 reservation and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. We had pregamed the menu on the TV in room, but ofcourse once we got there we changed our minds We got the sticky bun to share...and glad we only ordered the one because it is HUGE! You can see the remnants of it in my picture. Perfect level of sweet served in a skillet! Let it sit a minute because it's hot. I ordered the butcher shop omelet, came with chorizo, bacon, cheese, etc. It is PACKED! it looks small in the picture compared to what you'd get at a Jersey diner but it's deceptive. I could not finish it, and it was delicious. The orange juice was very fresh also.
Very disappointing overall. The food was either completely bland or overwhelmingly seasoned. We tried to branch out and order some of the more unique items on the menu rather than sticking with the basics like pancakes and eggs -- that turned out to be a major mistake. As I walked around the restaurant, I noticed that nearly every table had the "safe bets": bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Now I see why. Since it was our first time here, we wanted to try dishes that you don't usually get for breakfast. The quiche lorraine had no flavor whatsoever. The poached egg on the mitake mushroom benedict was so overcooked it was almost gummy -- I didn't even know you could get that kind of texture in a poached egg. The mushroom and the home fries were similarly bland and under-seasoned. The shrimp and grits, on the other hand, were completely overpowered by whatever blend of spices they used. And apparently, they love crispy fried onions here, because they top nearly everything with them. In my experience, touches like that are often used to cover up poor cooking in the kitchen. Also worth noting: the cappuccino came out lukewarm. No flavor, bland sides, and an overall underwhelming experience -- especially considering the prices. We probably won't be returning. Dio, however, was an excellent server. Friendly, attentive, and warm -- he was the highlight of the visit. None of the food issues were his fault, and he truly provided wonderful service.
Harper's is a brunch restaurant inside Ocean Casino Resort. They are open Mon - Fri 8AM - 1PM and Sat - Sun 8AM - 2:30PM. Every time I stay at Ocean I make sure to stop at Harper's. I've seen a few inconsistencies with the food and service here, but overall it's a great place to grab breakfast/lunch. I'm one to try different things on the menu, but when it comes to Harper's I always order the same thing; steak & eggs. The dish consists of two petite filet mignon medallions, two eggs any style, bearnaise, home fries, and toast. Service is good to great depending on who takes care of you. Fran was my server on my last visit and he awesome. He was friendly, accommodating, and attentive from the moment I sat down. Came here for brunch Saturday with my boyfriend, a little after noon and we got seated right away, greeted by our server Stacy! Who was really informative and really sweet. We each got two eggs any style, and then we shared a short stack of pancakes. The food was good portions and really good. We also got a tasting of their daily smoothie which was mango and strawberry and it was really refreshing and tasty. We went to Harper's around 1 PM on a Sunday, there was no wait and we were seated promptly. We were immediately greeted by someone that filled up our water cups and within a minute or two our server Mike came by and promptly brought coffee over. The coffee was wonderful. We placed our order. I had the eggs with potatoes and chicken sausage. I was happy that they had an option for gluten-free toast. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. Our food was delivered in a timely fashion and looked very appetizing and also tasted great. The portion was large for me so I took my extra for later. The restaurant itself has a prime location with views of the ocean if you sitnear enough to the windows, [[HIGHLIGHT]]everything was clean and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely recommend if you are at ocean or in Atlantic City.
I had been to Harper's several years ago and had found it very over-priced for mediocre food. However, it moved locations within the Ocean Resort and seemed to take their food up a notch, while bringing their prices down one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The new space, which used to house an excellent Hawaiian restaurant, was spacious, modern, and relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was timely, and our waitress was a sheer delight. We ordered a pot of the French Press Coffee, which was rich and super strong, just how I like it! For my brunch meal, I opted for the Maitake Mushroom Toast, which started with two large slices of sourdough bread, which were topped with a hefty amount of sautéed maitakes, crispy onions, and a poach egg each. I ordered the included truffle hollandaise on the side in order to pour it on as needed, and I thought it was generously packed with truffle essence. The toast came with a side of breakfast potatoes, which were greasy, but soooooo delicious. We were very impressed with Harper's changes and would definitely return.
Excellent breakfast and service. A little pricey but that's to be expected at a casino restaurant. Had the Turkish Eggs which was a very unique and refreshingly light. It was a play on a traditional Eggs Benedict and was delicious. My wife and I went twice on our last stay at Ocean and we also had the shrimp and grits, Ocean Benedict and the quiche. All were awesome. Probably one of the best breakfast spots in AC!
Harper's made my list after doing some research on notable trendy brunch spots in AC. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess, informed them about our reservation and were promptly seated. I will say, the Ocean Resort and Casino is definitely my speed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Harper's has all the making aesthetically of the Instagram worthy brunch spot. It's open and airy feel with trendy, neat, and clean sleek decor made it very inviting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Their reservation system was efficient, and the staff were polite and attentive. However, the food left more to be desired. Before we ordered, our waiter, Nancy gave us complimentary mango smoothies in shot glasses. For starters, we had the sticky bun which was quite large but good to share with our group. Our waiter, Nancy, did warn us that the portions were large and suitable for sharing. I could tell the bun was not fresh but the flavor was decent. We definitely had other patrons looking over at our table because I think the size of the dish brought on some attention. The hot chocolate was a decent size and flavorful. It reminded me of rich flavored hot chocolate from my childhood. I ordered the egg white omelet but forgot to ask if I could replace the mozzarella cheese with cheddar cheese. In my opinion, the mozzarella cheese did not blend well with the vegetables in the omelet. The home fries and wheat toast that accompanied the egg whites were good. The whipped butter definitely hit the spot. Nancy and Francisco were a great team that took care if us! We were thankful for their hospitality.

oh my goodness first of all let's just start with how nice everybody is. Came on a weekend day for brunch and it was packed. Highly recommend reservations here. They have a modern set up and service is friendly and timely. The portions are large. 1. Challah French Toast - Three hugh pieces of toast. Could probably feed 2-3 people. 2. Service was excellent. I believe his name was Juan, my apologies if I'm not correct. I do remember he had a nice tattoo on his fore arm. He greeted us with 2 complimentary shots of a mango breakfast smoothie. Now I HATE mango, BUT whoever made this smoothie....it was awesome. Then we ordered 2 breakfast platters with bacon & home fries. The eggs were scrambled hard with cheddar. Everything was good except for his order of bacon. It was burnt. Definitely not Juan's fault but he did bring us 2 new orders of bacon. It's a little pricey but for the ambiance (the beautiful view of the ocean as the backdrop), the service, the quality & quantity of the food...it's definitely a good breakfast spot! read more

Here's the Scoop: Celebrating our Anniversary here at Oceans Resort we decided to try Harpers Restaurant in the Resort. The Calming Ambiance , low lighting but not dark. Sexy! The menu has many tasty items that will make the choosing a challenge. As you're seated a chilled shot glass of apricot nectar awaits. Something to sip on while you peruse the menu. Love it!:-) I love the breakfast entree I ordered. It was a shrimp/crab omelette with homefries and rye toast. My honey ordered shrimp & grits. Both were flavorful and a nice portions. Prices are reasonable and the service and our waitress Stacy was fabulous. She was very helpful in the ordering process. She checked on us to see if we needed anything more throughout and she was not overbearing. She was Funny and had a great sense of humor. We will definitely return to enjoy something from the lunch menu. This is a breakfast/lunch only restaurant. Make reservations because it gets crowded but they take walk-ins. Great food, amazing service, nice ambiance - will definitely return next time I'm at Ocean Resort. My boyfriend and I arrived about an hour before close (Saturday in April). It was busy, but luckily we were seated right away. Our server Debra was the best. She was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Shortly after being seated, she greeted us with a sample of their smoothie of the day. It was mango flavored; we aren't mango fans, but we loved the smoothie. My boyfriend ordered the bananas foster French toast and I ordered the veggie omelet - everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. My omelet was mistakenly made with egg whites at first and Debra noticed as soon as she came to our table - I hadn't even noticed yet! She offered to take it back (two different times) and on the second time I agreed. The new omelet came out quickly and was delicious. It was nice to have a server who looks out for you and wants your meal to be perfect. Thank you Debra! Gluten free options: Debra was super knowledgeable and guided me through what was and wasn't gluten free and what substitutions could be made. They don't have gluten free pancakes, but they have gluten free bread/toast. I got the veggie omelette with gluten free toast and a side of berries in place of potatoes, which aren't GF. read more

We stopped in yesterday for brunch . Boy were they busy . We had no reservation and told there was a 25 minute wait . We got seated about 45 minutes . Next time we will make a reservation. I heard that you were given a complimentary smoothie . We did not get one and saw others receive one . It was probably because our server seemed that she was doing community service . More about that later . French press coffee was so good ! Had to flag down a nice gentleman filling water glasses for some sugar because after asking our server we never got any . My husband got pancakes and i got banana foster with NO BANANAS !!!!! The server never came back to check if everything was okay until we were done eating . I saw what I perceived to be a manager but no interaction with the customers. I will come back however , I hope we have a better server ! read more

I did a weekday brunch with my family here during spring break. It was ok! The restaurant itself is very pretty. My husband had the chicken and waffles. My son had the buttermilk pancakes. And I had the eggs Benedict. I'll be honest, there was nothing on the menu that really sounded out of this world. They had some twists on classics and some basic classics. I will say some of the sweet dishes did sound good, I just wasn't in the mood for that. My son's pancakes were hard and dry. He didn't seem to mind too much, but, I think they had been sitting for too long, likely waiting for the other meals to come up. My eggs Benedict was pretty good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the Canadian bacon was smoky and thick and the English muffin was pretty big. It was a well executed breakfast classic. My husband said his chicken and waffles were just okay. The chicken was all way over cooked, and the waffle dry. I had seasonal sangria and that was also just okay. It just tasted like cheap red wine. We did get complimentary smoothie shots upon sitting and they were tasty. My son drank all 3 and didn't order a drink, lol. Our server was great. Very friendly and prompt. Maybe I'd try another meal at Harper's but I'd like try other choices before retuning here again. read more

This place is found inside of Oceans Casino, I made a reservation because sometimes it does get busy in there. It's definitely a nice brunch place specially if you want to gamble. Super convenient. Great service. Great presentation. When I saw the BLTA - Hickory Smoked Bacon, Smashed Avocado, Heirloom Tomato, Baby Arugula, Saffron Aioli, Grilled Country Bread that came out to the table, I thought this place is awesome! However, the sandwich was way more watery than it should have been. Maybe the arugula wasn't dried enough after being washed? Also, the bacon, yes, the freakin' bacon seemed somewhat tasteless. How is that even possible? Overall, the experience was all icing and no cake. read more

Went for a Saturday brunch. Pretty good menu with huge portions. The prices are a little on the high side for just breakfast items however there are bigger portions. Meat Omelette: so much meat and great cheese ratio; potatoes were roasted perfectly; and the toast was good. This is an overpriced place for basic breakfast. I had a horrible experience...sat down at 11, food didn't come out until 12. People all around us was getting their food before us. Not sure if the food wasn't put in, or the cooks just kept making other peoples food before ours. Positive note, they decided not to charge us. When the food finally came out it was underwhelming. Salmon Benedict - hollandaise sauce looked warmed, and looked like it was the last of the batch. Taste was good. The poached eggs were over cooked, the yolk did not run. Meat omelette with "aged cheddar" - lacked flavor. For all the meat it should at least taste good. The cheese was sliced cheese and had two strips. See in the picture it was not cheesy. Home fries - the food that saved them. They weren't bad, especially in ketchup lol. read more

We made reservations for brunch before heading to Exhale Spa and were blown away by the great service and delicious food and cocktails. The restaurant is right across from The Park with views of outdoors and the ocean. Our server Deborah was incredibly friendly and our food was out within a few short minutes. read more

I've stayed at the ocean casino many times but never have I tried Harpers. First time trying and it was definitely a hit ! The avocado toast was absolutely amazing , if you're a fan of avocado toast I can guarantee this would be the best . I also had the steak and eggs that come with a side of home fries. They also gave a round of free smoothie samplers that were also amazing. Food is fresh and staff is friendly . If you happen to be in the area of breakfast or brunch , definitely give this place a try . 10/10 experience . read more

I recommend driving to Ocean casino self parking lot. Parking is $15 per car for non members and $5 for a signature card member (Signature member is a basic new card holder) Just go to the 6th floor (casino floor) and join the membership, it's free…
