She did ask if I was ok, twice but I at least expected an apology from her. Her response was "it wasn't poisonous." Good food for an airport! I had the Harry and Izzy combo ($33) - 3 cocktail shrimp, 2 filet sliders and a house salad. Shrimp cocktail sauce was incredible! If you like horseradish, this is IT. I liked it so much, I bought a bottle to take home. Sliders were good but way undercooked. Ordered med rare and they very rare, blood red majority of the meat. I had a flight to make or I would have sent them back. I took them to go and cooked them on the grill when I got home, perfect! Wait was prompt and friendly, food was slow to come out. Yelp Fam! It's me again! I've been to the airport more times this year than I'd like to admit, but I'm grateful for the adventure. Today, we're back in Indiana, but this time I'm reviewing Harry & Izzy's at the airport. I've seen this restaurant several times during my travels to Indiana, and each time I told myself I was going to try it. Well, that day finally came, and I did! I grabbed some food at the airport and took the rest home to enjoy for dinner (don't you dare judge me... lol). This review will be pretty quick. I opted for takeout and sat at my gate--the area is always a bit crowded, so I wanted more room. I took a look at the menu, and as much as I wanted to order seafood and steak (because I love a good meal, chile), I opted for the St. Elmo Prime Rib Sandwich. It was delicious! I'm not a fan of cold fries, so I ate those and saved the sandwich for when I got home. The service was amazing and attentive. Even in the short time I was there, they made me feel like a welcomed guest. I definitely recommend trying this place out. When I'm back in Indiana--and I know I will be--they'll see me again to try more items on the menu! read more

We started off with some Sun King beers on tap (Wee Mac and cream ale) and 4 shrimps in the famous St. Elmo's cocktail sauce. My nose hair still hasn't forgiven me. Then our main dishes came out: Steak burger w/ fries and a fried chicken slider. The burger was good, I've had better but then again had worse. The chicken slider was what was underwhelming, again just ok. However, I thought the fries was what popped the most. Traveling is what it is but I'd eat here again no problem. The staff was great and we even got to see a rainbow as we ate. All in all this was good Airport food and hey, sometimes you just want a cocktail or a beer which they have. Great for a Pre-Flight Bite I was at the airport about to catch my flight back home. Luckily enough I had a delay and had time to grab a bite before my flight. I looked around for a few places to eat and settled on Harry and Izzy's mostly due to its reputation. Since I had a little more time, I settled on something that I knew would come out fast. My Meal on this visit, Beer Lobster Bisque The Wedge The ber was a little flat (see pic ) but cold, and the soup came out pretty fast. I enjoyed the Bisque and although through my travels I have had better, this one was okay, and great if you're in a hurry to catch a flight. The Wedge was as you can imagine, a wedge of lettuce, sprinkled with bacon, with chopped tomatoes and served with their creamy gorgonzola dressing. I admit there was a bit too much dressing for my taste so I f I ever have this again I will ask for 'light on the dressing'. The positive take on Harry and Izzy's airport location is...If you're at the airport and getting close to boarding, order the easy-to-make things on the menu and you'll be okay. if you have time then order something more elaborate. Note: This is for the airport location It's a good thing we had plenty of time before our flight because the service was slooooooooow. The table next to us sat down after us and ordered after us, but received and FINISHED their meal before we even got ours! We were both parties of two that ordered an appetizer and an entre each. My party of two had only ordered one appetizer, a club sandwich, and a salad so it was nothing that would have been time consuming to make. As for the food, I'm divided. The salad and club sandwich were great. We got calamari for the appetizer and it was horrible. It was cut so thin that you couldn't taste anything but the batter. So, a landlocked state has the best shrimp cocktail in the whole entire USA? Yup. The not-so-secret ingredient is fresh-shaved horseradish. The fries were crisped to perfection and the peppery Smokey BBQ sauce the waiter brought out paired to perfection. This restaurant is located in terminal A of the Indianapolis Airport. It is one of only a few restaurants in the airport and one of the better ones. The staff there is very friendly. They serve you typical pub food including steaks, burgers, and chicken. They also have a full bar with spirts, beer and wine. They have bar and dining room seating with a few televisions around. The drinks are a bit pricy, but the food is a little more reasonably priced. I ordered the prime steak burger which came with fries. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. The burger was picture perfect and I got a ton of fries. I got a margarita to wash down my food of course. The burger was a bit messy, but was still tasty. This restaurant is a decent spot, especially considering that there are not many options past the airport screening. I would not recommend it if you do not have a lot of time until your flight though. read more
