The food is great for airport food. Prices are pretty high but what can you do when you're at the airport? Everything is expensive. This time service was good - my waitress asked how I was doing numerous times when I was there but I had to ask for a refill for my water. I thought it was a given to refill a nearly empty glass of water. Food: I had the fried chicken app. It was fried to a nice golden brown and the chicken was still juicy. The batter was seasoned nicely and it came with a ranch and bbq dipping sauces. I would order again. For my entree I ordered the prime rib sandwich with a side of cole slaw. Meat was nice and plentiful, and came with au jus and horseradish dipping sauces. Overall it was a good sandwich. I would order again. Overall it was a good place to eat, until the waitress made it awkward. Before I sat down I noticed my coworker and grabbed a table right next to him. He eventually paid his bill and left while I finished my food. I paid my bill and the waitress came back and asked if my company (I was on a business trip so I paid using my company credit card) didn't allow us to tip more than 15%. I asked why and she said my coworker tipped 15% and I also tipped the same. It was coincidence we both tipped 15%. I was going to stay a little bit to get some work done but she made it awkward. If I feel like you did a great job, I will gladly tip 20% or more but it wasn't superb service. Asking if my company doesn't allow us to tip more than 15% was just tacky. There must have been a reason my coworker and I tipped that much, you were not great. read more

This is an AIRPORT restaurant. That's not why I gave it the lukewarm rating. The rating is because it seems the people who work there don't understand these logistics. Several people were rude to us about our luggage - what do they expect? Maybe have a space for luggage? It's the AIRPORT. It seemed my group was the only one singled out for the stern warnings. Our server was also not friendly or fast - the table next to us who arrived after us was served both drinks and warm dinner before we got salads. Disappointing experience. Airport food seldom lives up to the name of a place attached. While my dinner at the airport location of this Indy area "chain" was not up to par with the primary locations it is better than a lot of airport fare, it is pricey. I was alone waiting for a delayed flight and decided to have an early dinner. It was pretty empty at 5p. I ordered a glass of Malbec while looking over the offerings. I selected the smoked pork chop with fries. My meal arrived in about ten minutes as ordered. The chop had a good flavor but was very well done and a little dry. We were surprised to find this fine dining in an airport and so happy we did! We ordered the wedge salad, ribeye and the bone in mini chops along with the sautéed green beans. When you are not given a steak knife, you know the meat is tender! This is one of the best steaks (both) we have ever had! It is seasoned perfectly. And the gargonzola dressing is creamy, smooth and makes the wedge salad tastes like a dish made for royalty! Having this for dinner made our 4 hour flight delay tolerable... we will definitely go there again when back in Indy! read more

If you don't stop in and order a shrimp cocktail, you're missing one of the best airport dining experiences in the U.S. Usually order the filet and green beans. Just wish the steak was seared with a nice herb butter to put it over the top. Service is always friendly, and don't mind spending time at this stop. read more

As a flight attendant, I don't usually enjoy airport food but here is a rare experience! Not only was the food amazing!!! I had the mini sliders (filet mignon and fried chicken)! Soooo delicious! My friend had the club sandwich which he said was delicious as well!!! Our server, Hannah, was so welcoming and efficient. She also sold me on the amazing horseradish that they sell by graciously offering me a generous serving to try. St Elmo's sauce I bought it of course! read more

I'm sorry, but my impression of this place is not even slightly positive. I just paid $43.00 for a tough piece of grainy, flavorless gristle they call a Ribeye. My wife suffered through a dry, overcooked piece of Salmon and a very ordinary $12.00 house salad. No thank you. I'll stay home next time. This is a reasonably priced Steakhouse in IND Airport. The NY Steak was prepared with peppercorn and a sauce. The side was a vegetable sauté and I order a vegetable soup. Everything was decent, I almost forgot I was in an airport, this is located in Concourse A and it is worth the walk from Concourse B, where they have lesser food options for a Paleo type diet. The waitress, Jennifer was amazingly quick, I was in and out within a half hour. The Steak itself was decent, a very lean cut with little fat, not what I would typically expect at a Steakhouse as far as the type of cut, but it is an airport. Airport food is always expensive and this is no different. I had the Garbage Salad which is a mix of shrimp, genoa salami, etc. when I got it, I thought they forgot some stuff. All I saw were round shrimp (frozen) and lettuce. When I started to mix it up, I found the meat on the bottom. Not sure what chef/cook thinks colors should be hidden but they are definitely doing it wrong! As far as taste it was "meh". Didn't even finish it. read more

The wait staff was pleasant, but the food was lousy. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict. English muffins were soaked with water. ...probably due to not blotting them dry after boiling, and the hollandaise sauce was watery. Maybe the other items are ok, but I will not go back to find out. read more

I ordered ceasar salad with seared ahi tuna. The tuner was ice cold as if the salad was stored ahead of time in a refrigerator. When I questioned the waitress she offered to heat up the tuna. I'll never come back. Unless McDonald's is closed. read more

This is a nice airport meal. Picking up right where you may have left off with their big sister restaurant, St. Elmo in downtown Indianapolis. I got the Izzy platter- perfect combination of those shrimp with horseradish strong enough to clear your sinuses of today and next week, plus a tiny salad and 2 filet mignon sliders. Perfect portion to prepare me for meal-less flight. Service was a bit slower than I would expect at an airport, but I gave up the hope of perfection several years go for lent and have decided to stick with that outlook permanently. read more

Let me start by saying I love Harry & Izzy's, LOVE it. I took my husband to the downtown location for our first date, it's our go-to place to celebrate, & since I fly 2-4 times a month I try to get to the airport early to get over to Concourse A for my meal.... Be it bloody's & shrimp for breakfast or Beer & filet sliders for dinner. Today couldn't have been more disappointing. Usually I sit at the bar & get great service, I broke my ankle 2 days ago and needed a table. It was all downhill from there. We were greeted 7 minutes after seating ourselves, like the sign suggested we do. We were given menus and told someone would be with us, no suggestions of what's tasty or an offer of taking a drink order. Another 6 minutes passed by and we were asked what we wanted to drink by another server. The orders were placed and brought out within 5 minutes, not terrible, not good since there were 5 servers on the floor & the place only a 1/3rd full. Oh and they are apparently going "green" since bev naps or coasters were not used. Our food order was taken and out with 18 minutes, 4 medium rare sliders & a chilled Asia quinoa salad, not difficult since half our meal was prepared ahead of time. The food was placed sloppily on the plate, please see photos, meat and top bun askew on one slider on each plate. Odd, with 5 people standing on the expo line, including the manager, you would have thought someone would have caught it. Anyway, the food was good as usual and we were asked if we need anything else as we were close to finished. I requested the tab & have her my card as soon as she presented the bill. She left and 10 minutes later a different guy brought me back my receipt. If it was shift change shouldn't I have been notified or something? I hate leaving only 10% because I am also in this industry, but when you clearly don't care about your job why should I be concerned if you're making enough to get by? It's too bad, I always, ALWAYS tell people to go to Harry & Izzy's when they ask where to eat in Indy. I will take care in the future to tell them I specifically mean the downtown location, not the airport. read more

So disappointed! Walked away from Harry & Izzy's at the airport for the 2nd trip in a row. Last time they were closing at 7pm - not helpful - and this time I waited for 5 minutes for someone to seat me, but no one ever even stopped to say it would be a minute. Off to CHAMPPS. read more

At the airport early and when I saw Harry and Izzy's I had to try it since I didn't get the chance in Indianapolis. I had the filet slider and the fried chicken slider on the advice of my waitress, who said it was her favorite. Added a side of fries too. When looking around, lots of diners had their prime rib sandwich which looked wonderful if you have a huge appetite. The Izzy's slider plate looked good also, but would be way too much food for me.
